Chapter 1- meetings
The mechanic followed behind the tall Moon themed bot slightly annoyed by being dragged back to the small daycare "You sure Sun didn't come home and just go in his room." The lunar themed bot scoffed, "Yes I'm sure he wasn't there. Sun come out I know you're here." The small male nudged moon while pointing at the security desk. "He's your problem now. I'm just here in case his wiring or something is messed up. I don't do confrontation." The tall bot rolled his eyes and walked up to the Sun themed bot "Sun." Said bot placed the moon plush he was holding down,"Brother, how are you this fine day,or night." Moon stopped in his tracks and stared at the solar bot that was smiling at him. "Ok I can immediately tell that's not Sun." "Really what could've given it away? Of course I'm your brother." The bot spun as if to give effect. "I mean look at me just so happy as can be." Moon crossed his arms unfazed, "You're very condescending unlike normal." The solar bot's smile strained as he approached Moon"Oh condescending, well then I get that from you a little bit considering we used to share the same body." Shin rolled his eyes while leaning against the play structure, annoyed with the situation."This charade has gone on long enough. Who are you?" The solar imposter just smiled at the pair "Who am I? Well I am Sun. I am Moon's brother, the bot you're in charge of. I am your greatest friend." Moon glared at the bot. "I know someone else is in there and I know that that someone else is in control." The poser walked back to the security desk smiling, "There's always been two of you, one Sun the other Moon. I could never really come out until now." His smile widened "His head is so empty anyways." The small mechanic spoke up "Oi only we get to make fun of Sun you have no right." The solar imposter growled "I AM- no calm calm down. I'm not angry. I'm understanding of it all." He walked closer to Moon, " You know moon I finally get you. I finally get you. You are an insecure little puppy with nothing else to do." Moon just chuckled while turning away from the bot "Am I wrong? Oh Please tell me I know I'm not wrong." The lunar themed bot rolled his eyes, "You are." The solar bot picked up the Monty plush laying beside the mechanic's foot. "Montgomery Gator, the most idiotic person I think I know besides the obvious, but to him he's still smarter that you." The pair rolled their eyes at the poser "You done?" The solar bot tossed the Monty plush aside."Not really. You know what the funny thing is, Moon." The stoic bot looked at the imposter questionably. "You were right about that code. The smallest portion of it it's just me now. For now anyways don't worry you haven't lost Sun yet." Shin glared at the tall bot."What do you mean yet." The poser turns towards the small male smiling "Well I'd like to come to a bit of an agreement if that makes sense for you. Does that make sense to your stupid little human mind, huh?." The small male scoffs as moon spoke, "You don't know anything about me." "I know everything about you you see cause I,we were always one." "What." "You think you can just leave a piece of you behind and not expect a little bit of consequences." Moon glared at the Bot "You're the homicide code." The bot chuckles and opens it's arms wide "I'm right here, right here hahaha" "How have you grown, Are you a virus?" Still chuckling, the bright themed robot answered. "Of course I've grown, this whole show has been great honestly." The mechanic glared, "You're just a line of code, how have you developed into a whole personality." "I'm Moon or well a better version anyway." Moon scoffed, "I'm me." "I remember everything we did together. We chased Gregory all over the daycare. I remember it exactly because I was still with you. Got so close to catching him but we got you instead." The solar bot glared at the small male seemingly unphased by it. "Then Sun came out and the fun started. He blamed you for weeks until He showed back up perfectly fine. Then someone had the bright idea to separate the two of us." Moon rolled his eyes at that. "Then I realized something: Moon I don't need you I just need a body and his is perfect." The mechanic sighed, "Only because of Moon's upgrades." The bot smiled, "Exactly, but you want a name for me." Moon glared "Who are you?" "People like to call me Eclipse and I think I'd like to stick with that." Shin snickered "Damn he ain't that creative kinda lame to be honest even sun's more creative than that." 'eclipse' glared at the small male "I'm going to kill sun." "No your not." "Really? What're you gonna do punch me beat me to death." Moon crossed his arms "You forgot we know how to program." Eclipse chuckled "You forget I know how to do that too I'm you almost to the t. The only difference between us is that we're in different bodies." He smiled sinisterly "Watch this your gonna really hate this." The pair stared in confusion as the bot rebooted. Then they rushed forward as a static panicked voice rang out. "What, what happened? why are we the daycare?" Moon grabbed sun by the shoulders. "Sun, sun remember the Ai we talked about?" Sun looked at moon in confusion "Yes what about it?" "It's aware Sunny." "What do you mean Shin?" Moon spoke instead cutting shin off "It gave us it's name." "It has a name?" "Yea it calls itself eclipse as unoriginal as it sounds." Poor Sun looked lost, "But isn't an eclipse when the sun and the moon and it's dark." "Yea because he's both of us. He's a perfect combination he can put on your innocent facade but he has my homicide and intellect." Sun didn't look fazed, something was off. "Moon that's not Sunny." Eclipse chuckled as Moon backed up quite pissed. "Even you fell for that, sad one of you figured it out so quickly tho." Moon glared at the imposter and growled. "Give me back my brother." "Oh I can release him whenever I want but it seems as though even you can't tell the difference now can you. Your little mechanic caught on too quickly though. This one's actually him now okay I promise." The two stared at him, slightly annoyed and angry. "I just need some time to do some things and if you can stop me before then, well clearly one of us would be the superior Moon." "You're not Moon." Eclipse smirked "You're right I'm better. I'm far grander than you, smarter too." Moon glared at the bot but said nothing "Don't worry, don't worry you're gonna actually have him now." Moon thought for a second. "What if I gave you your own body?" Eclipse looked intrigued, "My own body? What's the point in that, I'd like to have a bit of fun and torturing you with this whole prospect is fun enough for me. Now I'm gonna go into sleep mode. Bye me, and Bye Mechanic." Shin glared, "Eclipse-" he was cut short as Sun's body slumped nearly dropping to the floor hadn't Moon caught him. "Sun, Sun." The poor bot took a minute to come to. "Brother get up. Brother, get up." Sun looked around confused, "Why are we back in the daycare?" "No no no no no okay I need you to get up right now Sun. I need you to get up." It pulled Shin's wires to see Moon so frazzled. "Okay okay I'm up Moon." "Are you okay?" Sun looked confused by the question "Yea I'm fine but why are we in the daycare? Did the kids party too hard again or did they like-" Moon cut him short "what's the last thing you remember?" Sun thought for a minute "We were playing that stupid shopping list game that kept going on forever." The two looked at Sun concerned, "But that was yesterday." "What?" "That was yesterday." "What do you two mean that was yesterday?" Moon suddenly got defensive, "I mean it's been 24 hours." "Woah ok ok ok I get it." Shin sighed as moon continued, "No you don't get it Sun." "I don't understand what you're trying to- why is it bad actually no it is bad cause it's been a day and I don't remember at all." Shin placed a hand on Moon's back as the bot started to slightly panic. "No, you don't know the half of how bad this is. This is so bad. This is the second time since we've existed that I've actually panicked." Sun Walked to moon cautiously as Shin tried to get the bot to calm down. "Brother brother hey, it's ok." Moon backed away from his solar counterpart "No it's not it's not ok! Get away!" Sun stood there stunned as the two looked at him, moon slightly panicked and Shin with a slight hint of fear but also sadness. "What's wrong? It's me. " "You're not you. I don't know if it's you anymore." "What do you mean?" "I told you there's some other Ai in you." Sun stood there confused, stuttering. "It impersonated you for 24 hours." Sun tried to approach to calm the two but they just backed up more. "And the worst part is we couldn't tell." Sun looked distraught at the pair "Guys you're kinda scaring me right now." "We're scaring you? For the first time I'm scared. Brother I can't protect you anymore." "What do you- What does that mean?! Can't you just help me?" It saddened Moon abit to see his brother upset "I can't because he's you and me, he's our eclipse." That silenced the solar bot as moon calmed a bit. "He can be you whenever he wants, but he can have my mind, my intellect, and my intent." Shin looked at Sun as the bot didn't look up at all, "Am I in danger then?" That tugged the mechanic's heart wires, "We don't know, he said something about making a deal, he's sleeping right now but he really wants you dead." That panicked the poor bot "Why does he want me dead?! What did I do to him?!" Moon piped up this time "He wants your body." "We could just make him another body!" "He doesn't want another body, Sun he wants your body. People trust you, and he wants to have his fun." Moon walked closer to the exit. "He's seen everything since we separated. He's just been watching, growing and I didn't see it sooner." Shin piped up still following Moon "Hey Moon it's really ok." Moon snapped "How is it ok?!" "Because we can figure it out right?" "I don't know! There's a lot of firsts happening today and I don't know anymore." Sun and Shin looked at each other and let Moon rant. "It took so long and so much work to figure out how to separate us and now because I did it people are going to think you're a danger. You could get decommissioned." Shin cringed at the word and Sun slightly panicked. "What no. Nonono no no no no no look let's just let's think of a plan then okay. You said he's watching through my eyes right so what if I'm just not around when you think of a plan?" "No brother, that's not the issue, the issue is he has my mind. He has the same intelligence I do. Whatever I think of he can counter. He knows how to counter my programming because he has the exact same knowledge in programming. I can't put up a firewall. I can't do anything to stop him aside from listening to his deals." The three stood quietly for a minute until moon spoke up again. "I'm sorry…" "...am I gonna die?" This caught Shin by surprise "What no! No. Out of everything we won't let that happen." "I'll go back and be a part of you again if I have to." "That's not- but you hated it." "I know I hated it but I'd hate having you live with that, cause at least with you and me together it wasn't about control." Sun didn't say anything else. "We had a mutual understanding that lights out I was out, lights on you were out but he can come out whenever he pleases or whenever he's bored." Moon dropped to his knees mumbling, "I didn't see it sooner… I couldn't tell the difference!" Shin rushed over to silently comfort him while Sun spoke "it's not your fault. I was his or mine? His fault." "Brother, Sun, I couldn't tell the difference for 24 hours between you and him how is that not my fault. Shin caught on quicker than me. I've been with you for years, I've been a part of you for years and I couldn't tell what was the real you." Sun placed a hand on his brother's shoulder, "Cause you said so yourself that he's evil." "He's not just evil, he's smart." "He's a dastardly kind of person from what you said. I know that if anyone out there can help us it's you and Shin, ok. I just have to be out of the room sometimes when you're doing stuff or whatever." Moon mumbled to himself for a minute then turned to sun. "We've been seeing you black out for a couple of weeks, maybe a month. There's a lot of work to do." Shin spoke up for the first time in a while. "Yes there is, this is a new situation but we can get through this together." "But what about when we rest we'd have no idea what he's doing when we're resting. Maybe I could find a way to tell or build some kind of indicator but that's a big maybe." "Maybe but can we go home now?" Shin perked at the word home and practically dragged the two bots to the entrance of the pizzaplex "Sun's right Moony you two really need some rest after this ordeal. Just go home and rest, give me a call if something happens ok." Moon wordlessly nodded and started his trek back home with Sun following close behind him. Shin stayed behind a few minutes locking up then he was out of sight with his motorcycle. The next few days were fairly calm considering all that happened. Sun was even slightly keeping Eclipse from coming out sometimes. 4 days later is when crap hit the fan ,walking into the daycare Shin was surprised it was empty. The boys were supposed to come in an hour ago yet they were nowhere to be seen. Shin picked up his walkie talkie and paged Sean, Monty's handler, to see if he knew something, "Hey Sean did Sun or Moon call out today?" After a minute of silence a gravelly voice rang out of the walkie talkie "Yea they did, Sun called in and said he and Moon had a small bug in their systems. I thought you knew and were with em checking it out." Sighing in annoyance Shin walked back out of the daycare "Alright thanks Sean I'm heading out then." "Alrighty then be careful on the road I heard something been snatching people up." "I will Sean." And with that the mechanic left the building opting to go by the celestials house and check it with them. Though when he arrived at the bunker like home it looked as if no one was inside but Shin knocked on the door regardless. No one answered so he just sat down on the grass and waited, he had enough battery power so he could be here for a while. After about 3 hours there was a noise like someone walking around so Shin got up and knocked again. After a series of lock clicks the door opened to an annoyed Moon "We don't want anything you're selling." "Well good thing I'm not selling Moon." The bot looked down finally and moved to the side allowing the mechanic in. "What made you come here Shin." "Well when I went in I was told you guys called out of work with a bug so I came here but when I got here neither of you were home." Moon sighed pretty annoyed "Well us being called out was probably Eclipse's doing but How long have you been here?" The mechanic looked at his internal clock to make sure he was correct, "Approximately 3 hours and 27 minutes." "We were there that long!" Shin looked confused. 'Did they go to another dimension again or something?' "I don't know, probably longer than that. Where's Sun by the way, usually he'd be in here by now." Moon looked towards the older sibling's room "He's in his room I don't know what to do really cause as soon as we got back he ran in there." Shin thought for a moment 'Sun's locking himself away from everything? That's not good, especially with him hiding from Moon too' "Can I go see him I just wanna check on him." "Feel free to just be careful Sun's still on edge." Shin nodded and walked to the day themed door and carefully opened it but he didn't see Sun. "Sunny, where are you buddy?" There was a shuffle in the corner of the room behind the bed and a small distressed noise. Shin carefully walked over and sat beside the tall animatronic. "Let me guess he's struggling again?" The poor bot nodded frantically while still having a death grip on his rays. Shin hugged him quickly catching him and the solar imposter off guard. "I know this is rough for you Sunny and I'm sorry you have to go through this. I should've found a cleaner way to separate you both then you wouldn't have to deal with any of this." The solar bot was frozen but it gave his counterpart just the edge he needed and he took it. Shin didn't let go even with the change in mood from the bot. It annoyed Eclipse "Let go I'm not Sun." "No, because you need a hug too. If it weren't for our method you wouldn't exist and then you wouldn't be here and we know nothing about you yet we've ostracized you." The bot glared at the small male clung to him "Well I don't care now let go mechanic." 'This stupid mechanic thinks he knows anything about me he knows nothing he's just trying to get information' Shoving the male aside the solar bot got up and walked off.
