"This is for your own good Zidane, we didn't want to do this...none of us didn't, please understand" Dagger said to Zidane who was unconscious from Sleep spell.
"You really think you can stop me? stop "us"? Hmhmhm...how foolish." Zidane said in serious tone of voice under influence of Jenova's and Sephiroth's cells and his will, "Eiko... we have to summon Alexander again, we alone can't reach out to him." Dagger said to her and looked at her pendant.
"Right, Dagger, we're all worried about you Zidane..." Eiko said to both of them, "...." Zidane responded with silence while smirking at them. Dagger and Eiko started summoning Alexander again like back at Alexandria when Kuja and Bahamut attacked it, "O'holy guardian...hear our prayers..." they said while green summoning circle started forming around them once more. "Do it, kill them both..." Zidane heard Sephiroth speak in calm tone of voice to him in telepathy, he gathered strength to stand up and while barely able to stand, he readied a single Orichalcon and limbed towards them.
"O holy guardian... hear our prayers... Deliver him out of darkness into light..." Dagger and Eiko said and intense beam of blue light enveloped the entire area dispersing clouds, showing the twin moons in the night sky, giant white beautiful angel wings appeared behind the castle of Alexandria once again. "!--" Zidane stopped from advancing "What's happening!?" he said in confusion and anger, starting to limb towards them slowly "Yes, kill them both and no one will ever be able to save you..." Sephiroth spoke to him in calm tone of voice in telepathy.
Alexander felt this and casted holy light to seize Zidane from his strength and made him collapse to his knees, "U-ugh..." Zidane gasped in pain and exhaustion, "I sense an utter, crushing despair that gnaws away at your mind, body and soul...Zidane..." Alexander spoke to him in calm yet but also stern tone of voice, "Human suffering, anguish, loneliness, despair, death, loss, destruction and fear are what this man called "Sephiroth" filled your mind with." he continued while Zidane barely was able to stand up or say cohert sentences.
Gaia's and Terra's moons were glowing at their brightest to shine their light upon him, as to take an throughout look into his "sanity", body and soul. "!!--" Zidane gasped suddenly in utter anguish and pain as if his entire body was disected open from the inside, his skull felt like it was being slowly opened to see inside to it and his chest felt like someone tried to rip his soul out again with bare hands.
"Stop... Stop it-- STOP IT!!" Zidane was in indescripable anguish, his body was writhing and convulsing due of intense pain "In order for us to help you, we need you to help us, open your mind and your soul Zidane, you're not alone in here. Your friends, your very dear friends are right here by your side." Alexander said to him again in telepathy.
"He's being forced to relive and experiance every good and painful moment in his life, each memory causing more and more pain and suffering to him..." Mikoto walked towards Dagger, Eiko and Zidane. "They are "testing him", to see how much his mind, body and soul can take this before either he himself or his soul breaks." she said in monotone tone of voice.
"That last Cetra, Aerith, already tried to look into his mind and reach out to help him...But even for her, it was too painful to go any further. Sephiroth and this Jenova have tainted his mind and soul with horrible, inhumane things." Mikoto continued, "Alexander and twin moons are trying to help him, but..." she paused to look at Zidane, who was screaming and writhing in utter anguish, "...I do not know how long he can take this, his body may not be able to take this any longer".
Zidane clutched his head in unspeakable pain while writhing in torment, he saw and felt flashes of Sephiroth, Jenova and all the pain and suffering he had ever seen and felt in his life up to this point, his screaming became more bloodcurdling and louder, Dagger and Eiko couldn't do anything but being there for him and watch. "Zidane...you've always been there for us, let us be there for you, come back to us." Dagger said to him and looked at her pendant with concern.
"Eidolons, hear my call..." Dagger said and summoned Shiva, Atomos, Ifrit, Leviathan, Odin, Bahamut and Ark, while Eiko summoned Fenrir, Carbuncle, Phoenix and Madeen.
Eidolons looked at him, "you're..you're all going to..kill me..?" Zidane tried to form cohert sentences, Eidolons gathered around him as to "comfort him". "...Zidane" Dagger said while deep down trying to stop all this, "He has suffered enough, please..." she said, trying to not break down to tears. "Dagger..." Eiko said and looked Eidolons and Zidane. Dagger kneeled before Zidane and caressed his hair gently, as he was writhing in anguish, he felt Dagger's warm touch took the pain away.
"...." Zidane looked at Dagger, whose pupils were all dilated due of anguish and pain, his hair covered his face again as to not wanting to see her looking at him like that, it was too much for him to bear. "Don't..don't look at me like that..please..." Zidane's voice was silent and trembling with fear, "Sephiroth..he's gonna come back for me, he's gonna--" Zidane said to her, "he's gonna make me kill you all, then destroy Gaia..."
"...." Mikoto looked at him, Zidane noticed her and tried not to make her worry too much by slightly smiling at her.
"We're not gonna let that happen, you're not gonna leave us again!" Eiko replied, "...." Zidane didn't say anything but Dagger started realizing what he was trying to do, he was looking at the Eidolons with serious look in his eyes.
"...I want you guys to "seal me away"" Zidane said while shocking Dagger, Eiko and Mikoto, "No, you're not gonna leave us again, you promised". Eiko said while trying not to break down to tears, "Not forever, but temporarely...I'm sure you guys are gonna be just fine without me "troubling you"" Zidane said.
Dagger couldn't say anything at all at first, but then... ""troubling us?!" You've always been there for us, helped us in our time of need when we needed it the most, you haven't been "troubling" or selfish, you've done so much for us..." Dagger broke down in tears against Zidane's shoulder. "If it weren't for you...we would've led a meaningless life, we would've died..." she said amidst of tears to him.
"If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have seen the world outside of Terra, learn new things about different ways of living...you even tried to save someone who tried to kill you and destroy the Crystal, Kuja wouldn't had a change of heart either, so please, don't throw your life away..."big brother"..." Mikoto said to Zidane, first time in her life calling him as her brother.
"Dagger...you guys..." Zidane said to her and carassed her hair, pulling her closer for a hug. "If Sephiroth ever comes back for you, we'll be there with you to stop him." Eiko said to him, "I know, I know you guys will be there for me, and I gotta stay true to myself..." Zidane said while looking at Dagger, embracing her again "When that time comes, I won't be alone, not with you guys by my side... Dagger, everyone...thanks...",
Mikoto looked at Zidane and the others with a faint smile, knowing that Zidane's journey was far from over and new adventures and challenges were waiting for him and his friends.
