Angel of War

Summary:

Her own parents were disgusted how she was the only child with ‘ugly’ wings and so they sold her to a gladiator ring at age 8. Alala ran away after a year of staying there. She’s been staying at a village that also hates her 'till she was 12 but hey at least she’s friends with the village’s golem, right?

Notes:

Alala /ˈælələ/ (Ancient Greek: Ἀλαλά (alalá); "battle-cry" or "war-cry") was the personification of the war cry in Greek mythology. Her name derives from the onomatopoeic Greek word ἀλαλή (alalḗ), hence the verb ἀλαλάζω (alalázō), "to raise the war-cry".

Chapter 1: Meeting the Crow Father (Chap. 1)

Notes:

This is how Alala would look, the eye, which is covered, is red and the wings are bigger. Her clothes are a ripped-up dirty white shirt and brown shorts.

Alala’s Pov

Monster. Freak. Cursed. "Go die in a ditch and don't come to us. You are no child of ours."

Why do I keep hearing those words over and over again?! I just wanted to be loved!

I opened my eyes from my slumber. I am greeted by the bright sun, eyes adjusting to the bright lighting. Sitting up and looking down at my oversized ruined t-shirt and shorts ' it seems like I have to steal some clothes again'. Sighing, I stand up and sneak around in the shadows 'please don't let me get caught. "Oi freak, where do you think you're going?! Today's the day you are going to die." a man says. 'How could I forget?’ I said sarcastically in my thoughts.

I turned around and see the whole village gathered around me. 'Fuck, I can't hurt them' After debating on what to do, I decided to go with them. Someone grabbed me and held me still as the other villagers came and beat me. The babies were held by their mothers, and the older kids were grabbing rocks and throwing them at me.

Trying to keep a straight face as blood fell from my head and cuts started to form all over me, I look from the corner of my eye and notice him.

A man with blonde shoulder-length hair wearing a grayish-green kimono shirt, matching pants, Japanese sandals, and a green and white bucket hat. I have never seen him before 'Must be a traveler'.

I kept an eye on the stranger to see if he might be dangerous. He looks at me, making eye contact. His eyes held pity and sadness like he wanted to help me but couldn’t.

’I don’t want your pity stranger’ I thought, wanting him to leave.

I am forced to break eye contact with the man by someone pulling my wing extremely rough and painful. Screeching, I break free from their holds and grips.

Spreading my wings, I fly out of their sight, nearly fainting from the pain, and hid in a place they won't find me. Looking around and grabbed my stuff, which wasn’t much, but also grabbed some iron.

Heading towards the iron golem that protects the village. "Hello dear friend, I must go soon, but here is some iron to heal. Please protect them in my place." I heard the villagers' shouts coming toward me. "I must go now, goodbye friend". The golem hugged me and I hugged it back, knowing I would never see it again.

Running out of the village, I took flight away from the villagers as I hear them yell insults and shout to never come back.

After flying far away from the village, I crashed into the forest because of the large amount of pain coming from my wings. I lay on my back and just stared at the sky. Out of the corner of my eye, I see a figure. The said figure came up to me and crouch next to me,

It was the same stranger from the village. I quickly get up in pain and start to or at least try to run away from him. He looks at me with gentleness, "Please let me help with your injures. They’re going to get worse if you don't treat them".

The normally quiet voices told me to trust him and let him help, so I allowed him to carry me, but I was still on guard. 'The pain really hurts. Sleep now child, you need the rest. No, I won’t let my guard down. Trust him, he is powerful and kind. He will not hurt you. Fine I will, but if he is evil you are at fault. Very well, I will be at fault if he does harm you.'. Feeling the wind blowing gently past me, I fell asleep.

Philza Pov

I was heading towards a village for supplies when I heard yelling coming from the center of the village. So I ran in the direction of the shouts. When I got there, I saw all the villagers gathered around who seemed to be a young child. I head over to see that they are beating the poor child.

I watch as I lock eyes with her. Those eyes look so dull and dead...Those shouldn’t be the eyes of a child. I want to help her, but I don’t know how, I can’t just barge in there.

Snapping out of my thoughts, I hear her screech in pain and she stretched out her dark wings that looked similar to mine, but they were messy and bloody, she then flew away. I spread my own wings, I flew after her. I lost her a bit but then soon find her again, flying outside the village. Following her, I see her falling down and I zoom after her.

Dust flew everywhere after I landed on the ground safely while looking around for her. I saw her just staring blankly, with no shine, at the sky. I go towards her, crouching at her side, trying to check the injuries but she moves away. I understand why she would run away, but she needs to be treated. "Please let me help with your injures. They're going to get worse if you don't treat them". I saw her hesitate, but she allows me to take her to my home to treat her.

She was tense in my arms, which made me more upset that her village did this to her, a literal child.

I soon feel her relaxing and breathing in a soft rhythm indicating that she was sleeping. Sighing, 'I have a feeling gonna keep you'. I continued to fly, flapping my wings. The wind brushed through my hair and clothes.

That would be the best decision of my life.

Philza Minecraft (Age: 13):

Phil was soaring in the skies outside the house and little Alala saw that Phil was flying through the sky and just watch as her adoptive father flew, doing tricks and flips. Phil saw a figure out of the corner of his eye. So he slowly landed on the ground to see Alala staring at him with awestruck eyes.

Chuckling towards her awe, "Wanna join me? It'll be fun." The father asked the small child, waiting for her response. Alala looked at Phil, unsure, and then looked back at her wings. "O-Okay.." Young Alala answered with a bit of hesitation.

Taking the older man's hand,  she spread open her wings. Alala wasn’t the most confident in flying due to rarely using them, especially since they were injured by the villagers.

They start walking, speeding into a run as they open their wings. Flapping up into the air, small Alala was struggling a bit at first then got the feel of it fairly quickly. They flew around doing flips and just gliding. Alala missed feeling the wind going through her wings and Phil was watching, trailing behind her. Alala was smiling, cheek to cheek, looking nothing like how she was when they first met. She looked like a child who never had their innocence ripped from them.

'She's smiling. It's nice seeing her smile.' Phil thought as the child was doing tricks, enjoying the wind blowing around her hair.

Technoblade (Age: 16):

Looking around, a small piglin saw a sword leaning against a wall, shining in the sunlight. Walking over to it, he held it in his hands, Techno picked up the golden sword, getting a feel of it. Swinging it around, he began to slice the air. To others, it would look like he was dancing.

Soon, while the piglin ‘danced’,  a girl, older than the boy, walked around the corner hearing the swishes of the sword. She quietly watches Techno in the shadows, observing him fight with the sword while the younger one didn't notice she was there. After a while, the boy began to stop, slightly panting. "Nice technique," The hidden girl spoke out. Surprised, Techno pointed the sword to her, "Who's there?" he asked cautiously.

Stepping into the light, "Calm down Techno. It's me." she says nonchalantly. "Don't sneak on me like that Alala," Techno said, slightly annoyed. Grabbing a sword of her own from her side, Alala turned to the slightly younger boy "Sorry, just didn't want to interrupt your little session".

Sighing, Techno went to take off his cape which he receive as a gift from the older girl and his now father, already knowing they were going to spar as well as he was getting hot from training with the sword earlier.

Hours later, Phil, Wilbur, and Tommy were getting dinner ready inside. "Let's get Alala and Techno boys." Walking out to the front they saw two figures sparring, almost dancing, a very dangerous dance that is. The father and two boys watched the fight go on. They watched the beauty and gracefulness of their movements, hair swaying in the wind, and the sharp clangs of the swords colliding with each other. Tommy and Wilbur cheered, one of them for Techno as the other cheered for Alala.

Wilbur Soot (Age: 15):

A young boy was walking up a hill with some sort of case on his back. Walking up to a tree at the top of the hill, he sat down with his back leaning against the trunk. He took a guitar out of the case he had carried. Putting the instrument in his lap,

He started to play a song that someone taught him. Singing to the song, he replays memories in his head, unaware of a pair of eyes watching and listening above him.

Slightly swaying to his singing voice, the figure above him relaxed and just sat there, leaning against the tree and listening. When he was done singing, he leaned more on the tree, closing his eyes, enjoying the soft breeze that often passed by his warm skin and ruffled clothes.

Realizing that the boy has stopped, the person climbed down and then jumped on the lowest branch, knees hooked onto the branch, and swung upside down in front of the boy. Frightened and caught off guard, the boy open eyes and sat up fast that his guitar fell off his lap.

"Jeez Alala, you need to stop scaring me like that," The boy exclaimed as he place his hand on his beating heart. "Sorry, Wilbur. It's a habit," Alala apologizes to Wilbur. Smiling at his sister " It's fine. Oh! Wanna sing to me Alala?" The brown-haired boy asked the older h/c girl. "Sure" Alala answered with a shrug " I got nothing else to do anyway,". She pulled herself up and jumped off the branch.

Sitting down next to Wilbur, she relaxed but was still on guard as if someone would attack out of nowhere. ' Better safe than sorry, Alala thought. "What song?" Alala asked the guitarist. Thinking, he suddenly got a song. "Oh! We could do that one song you would always sing to us when we have trouble sleeping!"

Slightly smiling at his excited expression, "Sure Wil". Getting the guitar in his lap, he got ready to play. Strumming the strings into a soft melody (pretend the piano is a guitar), Wilbur slightly hummed with the song.

"Reach for my hand,

I'll soar away

Into the dawn,

Oh, I wish I could stay

Here in cherished halls,

In peaceful days

I fear the edge of dawn,

Knowing time betrays"

Alala sang the first verse while looking into the distance. Feeling the calming, cool wind fly through her hair.

"Faint lights pass through colored glass,

In this beloved place

Silver shines, the world dines,

A smile on each face

As joy surrounds, comfort abounds,

And I can feel I'm breaking free

For just this moment lost in time,

I am finally me

Yet still, I hide,

Behind this mask that I have become

My blackened heart,

Scorched by flames, a force I can't run from

As I live out

Each peaceful day

Deep in my soul

Oh, I know I can't stay

So I wish I

Could hide away

Hold tight to what I love

Keep cruel fate at bay"

Wilbur was watching her in amazement. Seeing her relaxed was rare but this was beautiful. Realizing he was staring, he looked away quickly, slightly blushing, and started to focus on the chords for the song.

"As the rain falls on the path

I chase your shadow

I don't feel a single drop,

Or the ground below

Then you turn to me and I

Stop before I know

And the lie upon my lips

I let it go

Cross my heart

Making vows I know will be betrayed

A sad girl's pleas

Live only for a breath and then they fade

Don't ever take

Back your kind hand

Lest precious love

The sun was slowly setting creating a beautiful scenery of orange, pink, and yellow. The soft rays shine upon the two as they relax to the peaceful melody.

Slip away like time's sand

Only we will know

All that was lost

Scars that we can't erase

Show us life's true cost

The blue moonlight

Cuts across our sight

As pure and clear as a ringing bell

Reaching for us in the night

As the wind calms my thoughts,

I held strong on this terrace

I feel at peace,

Carried away by the wind's song

Open the door

And walk away

Never give in

To the call of yesterday

Memories that  made

Those days sublime

These ruined halls entomb

Stolen time

Reach for my hand

I'll soar away

Into the dawn

Oh, I wish I could stay

Here in cherished halls

In peaceful days

I fear the edge of dawn

Knowing time betrays."

Finishing up the song, Wilbur's fingers were slightly sore and tired from strumming the guitar while Alala was perfectly fine, for she had done this many times before. "That was fun, huh?" Wilbur asked, looking at the older female. ".....Yea...It was" Facing the brunette with a barely noticeable smile but Wilbur caught the smile. Grinning to himself, he put his guitar away and stood up.

Turning to Alala with his hand stretched out for her to hold, he said "Let's go home before Dadza and the others worry". Nodding, she took his hand and Wilbur pulled Alala up. Now standing, Alala started to walk towards the house. Wilbur stood there, watching her walk away. Seeing the golden rays wrap around her as if she was Icarus falling as the Sun wrapped him to cushion his fall and her messy hair flying slightly with the wind.

Looking over her shoulder, she saw Wilbur standing still. "Wilbur? Are you coming?" Alala asked in slight concern. Snapping out of his thoughts, he slightly shooked his head clear, "Yea sorry, I just zoned out. Anyway, let's go home". Slitly jogging up to her, the siblings begin to walk towards home. Their home.

(Sorry that the Wilbur one is long cuz I want to add the song. Also, the song is called "The Edge of Dawn cover by Darleeng." Continue!)

Tommy Ft. Tubbo (Age: 17):

Two little children were running around, waving sticks around in the air. Laughter and shouts could be heard across the field. "Alala, Can you watch the boys, please? I have to take Techno and Wilbur to the Market with me." Phil asked the young girl. Looking at her father, she answered, "Sure, I'll watch them while you are gone, Dad".

Waving bye to her father and brothers, "We'll be back in an hour or two." " 'Kay bye". Alala watched them leave and then went to the backyard to watch her younger brother and his friend. "Hey Tom, Dad left with Techno and Wil. So I'm going to watch you guys." She told Tommy and Tubbo. "Okay! Wanna play with us Alala?!" Tubbo asked with Tommy looking at Alala as well with a sparkle in their eyes.

Looking at them, she gave in and agreed "Sure". "YAY!!" dragging her by her hand, they ran into the fields. Playing swords with the sticks, they were all having fun. Even though Alala didn't really show it, they knew she enjoyed playing with them. The hills echoed their laughter and joy for many to hear through the land.

(Sorry that this is short 1, I lost motivation, and 2, I couldn't think of anything.)

Waking up from their slumber, a figure speaks out to herself in nostalgia. "...... *Sigh* I miss those times" They mumbled to themselves. "I know but you have to let go and accept the fact you all don't stay the same and are drifting apart from each other," the voices in her mind said to her.

She got up and pushed herself off the tree and her hood fell off revealing a brunette with light brown and red eyes, who was often called a monster. A sister of three brothers, a daughter of a loving father, and an angel that can easily destroy an army of men with a swish of her sword.

This is Alala Minecraft, The Angel of War .

Chapter Text

Alala Pov.

I see darkness. 'Great, I'm here again.' "Welcome back child"  'Not glad to be back, but I'm back. Anyways, why did you want me to trust the man?' "He is a good man and will take care of you, unlike those ungrateful villagers." 'Calm down, we're free from them...I hope.' "Like I said the man isn't going to hurt us or take us back to THEM." '*sighs* Fine, now let me free.' "Was going to do it anyway."

Fluttering my mismatched eyes open, I am greeted with a pair of soft blue eyes. "Oh! You're awake now. Thank goodness, I thought you would have been in a coma with all those injuries." I look at him with confusion in my eyes. He must've seen it because he started to introduce himself. “Oh right, I’m Phil. Philza Minecraft. What's your name?” He asked with a calming, kind smile. “Alala...” I answer with a slightly raspy voice, looking away from his kind and bright personality.

"Nice to meet you Alala! Are you hungry? I have some soup on the stove cooking right now. I'll also get water for you," the kind man asked the child. Hesitating, Alala's stomach answered for her with a rumble of hunger. Looking down at her stomach, Alala had a slight tint of pink on her ears.

Quietly chuckling, Phil helped her get up and into the kitchen. He was glad she was being cooperative, but still concerned when he noticed how tense she was next to him. 'Well I can't blame her, she went through a traumatizing scene back there and she's just a child. What the hell did they put her through?!' Phil sat the small girl down on a chair when he reached the dinner table. He then got two bowls and scooped some delicious-smelling soup from the pot in the kitchen.

He set the soup in front of Alala while taking note that she was silent the whole time. "Hey, you okay there mate?" He asked in slight worry. Noticing the worry in his voice, Alala said "ye-yes I'm fine... I'm just not used to..umm..this," "Getting help?" "Yea..." Alala answered awkwardly. "It's fine mate, after witnessing what you have gone through, I can see why you wouldn't be used to this." He said trying to comfort me.

Slightly smiling at the attempt, Alala said: "Thank you but there is no need for your pity and sympathy". Shortly after she said that her smile disappeared.

Catching the small and brief smile, He smiled with soft eyes at Alala, "I know, but I just want you to know that I am here for you if you need me. Anyways, we need to go to a village to get some food and stuff for you. Not the village you came from, but another one." Nodding, also slightly relieved, that they weren't going to that village. After they finish eating, they got up and walked to the door.

Seeing her cloak on the hanger next to the front door. Slightly speeding up to get her cloak, she grabbed the piece of cloth and quickly placed it on her small body, covering herself from the world. Putting on his yukata, he called out to the younger child "Let's go, mate!".

Going outside, Alala takes notice of their surroundings, a lush green forest with flowers and peaceful animals roaming the land. Turning her head to the blonde elytrian, she asked "Will we travel by foot or fly there?". Answering her question, "well seeing as your wing is still injured, we'll have to go on foot, but I have a horse so we can ride the horse instead."

Not opposing the idea, Alala and Phil rode for around 15 minutes, the road had many pretty flowers and plants growing in the forest. When they reached the village, they gently got off the horse onto the loose dirt. "We're here, let's go inside mate." "Okay," I answer back while following close behind him, not wanting to lose him among the crowd of villagers.

He walked on for a bit before standing in front of a small fruit stall. I didn't listen to the conversation Phil and the stall owner were having as I was watching a little boy try to pickpocket someone.

The boy seemed to be a year or two younger than me and had dirty pink hair. He also had pig-like features with a little golden tag on one of his longish ears. After he got kicked and shoved, he started to run away after I heard a crack from the man who harmed the child.

"He reminds us of you dear child." Alone, fighting to survive in a cruel world, and-" 'Okay shut it. No need to continue, I'm going to help him.' "Alright then. Go do whatever you want. We will leave for now."

Knowing a bit of what he was going through, I decided to pickpocket some rich guy and give their money to him.

I walked towards a man with a fancy suit and items to show off his wealth. He walked past me and that's when I take his wallet without suspicion, the fat bastard didn't even notice a thing. I also take some food from a random stall and I soon reached the young boy after running around for some minutes.

He was sitting in an alleyway with his back against the wall, arms resting on his knees, and his head between his legs. I got a better look at him and realized that he had many scars as well as clothes that seem to have been cut from weapons like swords and arrows. His body structure seems fit for a fighter, maybe even a gladiator.

The only reason I know that was that I was sold into one, I escaped before I could be a forever 'champion' there. I slowly walked toward him and sat across from him.

The boy looked up quickly, alerted, his eyes were staring at me. "I'm not gonna hurt you...here take this," I quietly say to him, pushing the food and wallet to his feet. He was glaring at me in suspicion, "Why should I trust you?" he said with distrust and a bit of hate. 'Ouch, why must you hate me already when I've done nothing...though it's fair, can't trust many people in this world.'

Sighing, I start to stand up, as I got up, my scars showed from my uncovered arms and legs and he saw them. He slightly widens his eyes at the sight. "You have no reason to but when you've been through something that someone else is going through, you would want to help," I answered his previous question. I walked away leaving the pink-haired boy to live with what I gave him.

I suddenly remembered that I left Phil alone without telling him where I was. Pulling up my hood to protect my eyes from the burning rays, I walked through the crowd to try to find the crow-like father figure. I was pushed here and there, which was annoying.

I miss the blonde crow. I rather enjoy his company.

"Alala!!! Oh, where did that little child go?" I heard Phil call my name. Heading towards where his voice was, some villagers shoved me a bit when I bumped into them. I pushed myself out of the crowd and saw the blonde looking around in circles for me.

'I never thought someone would care that much for me,' I ran to him and hugged him, "I'm here. I'm sorry for leaving you." He was surprised for a second before he put his arms around me, he seemed relieved to see me. "It's fine. I'm just glad you are okay Alala."

We pulled away from the ever-growing crowd and Phil asked, "Where were you?" "I found a boy and gave him some money and food," I simply answered with a laidback tone. Phil seemed to nod at first hearing I was helping someone then realized I don't have money on me, "Wait, where the hell did you get money?"Phil asked with confusion mixed in his expression. I was going to answer when I saw the same kid from earlier behind a corner, he ducked away when he saw me looking at him.

I raised my arm and pointed to the corner the boy was at, "The boy is over there also answering your question, I pickpocket the money from a rich guy." I told him. "What?! Pickpocketing is fuckin' wrong!" He shouted in shock. I look back at him with a deadpan face, "So is cursing, but I'm not complaining..."

".....also can we take the boy?"
