Work Text:
While hanging out in the living room of Jonathan’s big ass mansion, the stardust crusaders were playing a game of cards. As soon as Polnareff was about to place his card down onto the table, loud music started blasting from upstairs. This caused Polnareff to drop his cards, throwing him into one of his ‘tantrums’, as Kakyoin likes to call them.
Polnareff: The hell was that!?
Jotaro: Good grief Polnareff, it was just Jolyne’s music coming from upstairs.
Kakyoin: Hey Jotaro, isn’t this Ice Spice?
Joseph: Wtf is an Ice Spice?
Kakyoin: It’s one of the newest music artist out right now Mr. Joestar
Joseph then begins to shake his head
Joseph: Those kids don’t know anything about good music.
Jotaro: Grandpa, please shut the hell up, no one wants to listen to your complaining right now.
Joseph: What you just say to me!? You better yo mouth Jotaro
Jotaro: Good grief
After watching the two Joestars’ little squabble, Avdol then asked,” Where’s Polnareff?”
Our favorite Frenchman was already on the second floor to (politely) tell Jolyne to turn the music down.
“Hey uncle Polnareff,” Jolyne said with excitement in her voice.
Polnareff:”Hello Jolyne,” he tried to say over the loud volume of the music.
Jolyne:”In one second, but don’t you wanna listen with me first,” she asked in hopes of getting to share her taste in music with one of her favorite ‘uncles.’
In contrast with what he wanted to say, Polnareff said yes to ensure the happiness of his ‘niece.’
While wondering if he made the right decision to say yes, he dropped any doubts he had once he saw how happy Jolyne was with his answer.
Jolyne: Say less, I believe you’re gonna really love this artist uncle pol.
Polnareff:If you like it I love it JoJo.
(Jolyne allows her ‘uncles’ and other members of the Joestar family to call her JoJo)
After a good 30 minutes of listening to what Polnareff considered to be greatness at its finest, he left Jolyne’s room feeling like a new man.
As he was making his way back down the stairs, Polnareff was met with a mainly empty living room. The only other person in the room being Joeseph Joestar.
Joseph: There you are Polnareff! We were just about to go to the store to pick up some groceries for my granny Erina. Bring your ass.
Polnareff: Ok ok, no need to be so hasty Mr.Joestar.
As the two were making their way to the car, the other three crusaders were waiting in the vehicle.
To Joesph’s shock, Jotaro was in the driver’s seat while Kakyoin was in the passenger seat.
Joseph: What are you doing boy?!
Jotaro: Did you honestly think I was gonna let you drive after that shit you pulled in Egypt? Get in the backseat old man.
Knowing there was no point in arguing with his grandson, Joseph decided to follow Polnareff into the back of the car.
Not being able to find anything on the radio, Kakyoin figured it would be a good idea to hook up his phone to the aux cord.
Kakyoin: Does anyone have a song they wanna play?
Upon hearing this question, Polnareff took this opportunity to play the queen herself.
Polnareff: I have something I wanna play!
Thinking nothing of it, Kakyoin gave Polnareff his phone. He will soon realize the mistake he has made.
Polnareff then typed in his song. Within 30 seconds after pressing the play button, complaints were made.
Kakyoin: Did you really just put this on?
Avdol: Now Polnareff, in the car, really…?
Joseph: Oh hell no! I know you did not just play this bs.
Polnareff: You guys don’t like it?
Kakyoin: As your friends, it’s good we be honest with you.
Jotaro: That means no, so turn this shit off.
Polnareff: Y’all some hating ass hoes. Disrespecting the queen and shit.
Avdol: Whatever you say Polnareff.
For the rest of trip to and back, Polnareff was disappointed at the very least to learn his friends didn’t like his new discovery.
