Albedo's whole world stood still when he heard those words come from Xiao's mouth, well stood he was currently sitting on his own bed trying to draw tablet in hand and the men in question stood near the door, But that aside all Albedo could feel at this moment was panic, Anxiety even, He never had someone confess to him like this before this was a first never in his life did he have to even explain why he doesn’t feel the same feelings everyone else feels.
How was this just as hard as coming out as trans and dealing with gender struggles , He really wished Aether was here to do the explaining for him since they know how he feels, he cannot warp his head around how to explain this to xiao but he has to try.

“that reply alone already says enough..” the tattoo artist looked away from him avoiding eye contact, more panic filling albedo’s mind more anxiety to deal with.

“Nevermind what I said, i clearly overstepped a boundary I shouldn’t have “ Xiao cut him off, There was a clear sadness in Xiao’s expression, He’s misunderstanding all of this just from one single reply from Albedo, another wave of panic and anxiety hit the blonde right then and there, he needs to clear this up right now.
“now hold, let me speak please, Xiao, you didnt overstep a boundary “ Albedo moved to the edge of his bed letting out a sigh before continuing to speak setting aside some of the nerves “ I’m on the aroace spectrum, I I do feel something for you and I like your company a lot, but I do not know if its romantic, I cannot assure you that I can even feel such a thing for someone and I do not wish to lie to you about such things”
Albedo took a deep breath hoping for the best now hoping this wouldn’t change things between the two of them, Xiao means so much to him.
“You feel something for me but also don’t?”
“Its a little bit more complicated to be honest” putting his tablet aside albedo looked at xiao, turquoise eyes piecing him with a serious stare to it.
“so, it’s better if we stay friends for now? Is that what you mean? “ Xiao looked at him a little bit confused.
“no, i do think we are more then friends, we could... uh.. try out a queer platonic relationship? See where things go from there “
“this is all a bit confusing and new but I’m willing to try, for you I am willing to learn atleast” xiao lets out a sigh, hopefully from relief albedo hates seeing him be sad or distressed.

“it felt like a rejection though” a nervous laugh escaped Xiao’s mouth
“I can assure you that it wasn’t a rejection, I just... love in a different way? Cant even call it that but I feel at easy around you, I feel happy and accepted “ he explained, standing up holding out a hand to xiao to carras his face. “again I don’t know what I feel for you is romantic or not, but I know it’s more then just friendship, losing you would break my world apart “
“That kinda makes sense “ Xiao leaned into the sensation of albedo’s hand.

With that said albedo leaned in and gently kissed xiaos forehead flashing him a gentle smile when he pulled away, The blush on Xiao’s face was all worth it.
Everything is going to be alright even with bumps in the road.
