‘’I’m sorry.’’
It was the least he could’ve said. Ranboo thought he would get more than that merely an apology. But he couldn’t get what he wanted, he had to learn that. Still tho, it hurt to see him like that.
Tubbo, broken down crying on his knees. His brown curls were a mess that hid his desperate eyes. Those eyes, those emerald green eyes. They were drowning in tears.
Like Ranboo would too.
He didn’t get a chance to talk. Hell, he had tried! But no one listened. Dream had made quite the chaos on the server once again. But to blame it all on Ranboo was nasty. He hadn’t done anything wrong!
Why didn’t these people get it?! That you shouldn’t choose sides you would be out of in a week. They were supposed to choose people, right? Wasn’t that the human thing to do?
It was ironic that out of all the people on the server, he, Ranboo had to be the one to say it. The one, probably least human of them all. Ow, but he had tried to be. Had tried to be kind, and follow justice.
And now Ranboo had to pay. Had to be executed.
He didn’t even get a chance to explain anything. The moment it was announced, he tried to teleport away. He knew he couldn’t, he was not fully Enderman after all. He wished he was, this one time.
The tank water was high and wide. Enough for multiple people to be drowning in. It was a bit higher than Ranboo, about the same size. But Ranboo had never felt smaller next to the tank.
That was all minutes ago, although they felt like hours, weeks, years even. The staircase up was an embarrassment, the platform mocking him in every way. And he tried to run away, truly, but his limbs were so frozen.
He hated how he didn’t get one more chance to see Tubbo happy, to laugh with Technoblade, or pick flowers for his garden. And now Tubbo was standing there in the crowd, his eyes big and swollen, Michael in his arms.
Ranboo didn’t fucking know why his husband brought their child to the execution. Michael was sleeping, wrapped in a purple blanket. Ranboo could only stare at Tubbo and Tubbo stared back. It wasn’t romantic in any way, but the sounds around Ranboo died out as he looked at his family.
He didn’t hear the screams anymore. If he concentrated, he would even say he could hear Michael snoring peacefully. Could hear Tubbo breathe quickly, on the verge of a panic attack. The water sloshed, Ranboo knew he didn’t have time for this anymore.
‘’Bye Ranboo my Beloved.’’
Ranboo turned around him, wanting to catch a glimpse of the voice. But instead, he was met with water. And hell began.
Being the Enderman Ranboo was, he panicked immediately. And now he wished he was his other part. His white side, something that didn’t dissolve in water.
And for a moment, nothing happened. He could only see bubbles, and all the sounds were muffled. He wanted to laugh, he was fine. But then he felt his claw burning, and when he looked at it, it was melting. Ranboo’s claw was burning. Slowly and agonizing.
Trapped in a state of pure shock, Ranboo looked through the tank. And how he regretted that decision. Aside from the people who looked mesmerized by him melting, he could see Tubbo. His husband, his child. He was there, the reason he was happy for so long.
Ranboo was filled with rage, despair, and his survival instincts kicked in screaming. He kicked the tank, hoping it would crack, to get him out of there. Bubbles filled his vision and for a second, Ranboo thought he had broken the tank.
He didn’t. He saw that as soon as the bubbles disappeared. His whole body felt like a thousand needles were stabbing him. Ranboo screamed in pain and choked on the water he got in. he was swallowing more water, more and more in a panic. His insides were internally melting away.
Ranboo shook his head, tried to kick the tank again, and tried to teleport. Nothing worked. And this was all just taking away precious energy. Ranboo snapped out of the panic, desperately trying to look for something to save him. Again, this ended up in him losing more energy.
And this all happened while Michael was sleeping, other people cheering and Tubbo pinned to the ground.
Ranboo slowly started kicking less, drained out from trying earlier. His memories flashed before his eyes as he felt the pain getting less and less steadily.
And then, the voice emerged out of nowhere. Ranboo thought he had gotten rid of it. Tried to fight it, block it out before it could make him even more upset. But it just said a single word.
‘’Goodbye.’’
It was menacing, enchanting, and yet still childish. Ranboo realized this all as it echoed through his mind.
And then a light appeared.
He had almost completely dissolved in the water now, bubbled away, and melted like he was in boiling water. The water took a purplish color, and purple particles started appearing in it. Ranboo closed his eyes, too exhausted to fight more.
The last thing Tubbo saw of his husband was one single ender pearl, in the water where Ranboo had melted.
