Chapter Text
“Well that settles it. I have just broken up with Marcus Fairs” said Domi, as she walked in to the dormitory. “Really” I replied “How did it go” “Pretty shit in all actuality” “Bang on for you then”.
I was relieved, Dom had been dating Marcus Fairs, as Slytherin seventh year for 3 months, meaning he was rapidly approaching expiration date. The longest relationship my cousin had had lasted exactly 4 months and 2 weeks. Not including the numerous hookups and one night stands she had had. I still remember the day she lost her virginity, it was May of fourth year and she had been dating a fifth year for nearly two months. He wanted to and she figured why the hell not. I had been extremely jealous until last year, when I lost mine to a Ravenclaw boy in my year at Albus’ Halloween party. It was drunk and sloppy and I’m pretty sure he thought I was a broomstick, on account of the fact that he kept touching my boobs like they were snitch’s
“Sooooo” Dom said, dragging out the letter, “ Anything new with your love life” She did this everyday, knowing full well that I would say no. And in about 3 and half second I was to be shouted at with “Rose Celeste Granger-Weasly, if I find out you are lying to me, then Merlin help you” “ I know”
“Rosie, Dom, come on dinner is being served, and also that hot fifth year Hufflepuff just broke up with his girlfriend” Molly called as she passed our dorm. Molly was Uncle Percy’s eldest daughter, Molly was anxious and a bookworm. But was also incredibly funny and her humour was dry wit. On the way down to the common room, we bumped into Lucy, Molly’s sister. Lucy… Well Lucy was scary. When she was 4 she put a spider in Dad’s drink. At 6 she replaced everyone's pillows with gnomes at Christmas. And she had this creepy habit of just staring at you. Even Fred and James were slightly scared of her, though she did get involved in most of their pranks. We all thought she was going to be put into Slytherin, which was why the entire train journey at the start of last year, Albus wore an expression mixed with fear and horror. “How you been Lu?” I asked, trying to keep away all the horrible scenarios in my head of her murdering me and then dismembering my body. “Fine, you know how it goes Rose”
I was slightly ashamed to admit that the majority of my friend group was family. I blamed that on my grandparents, they had 7 kids and those kids had loads of kids, in total Granny Molly and Grandad Arthur had 12 grandchildren, and Teddy, Uncle Harry’s godson who was included in the Weasly family by his official Christmas jumper, bringing the total to 13. But even so the Weasley-Granger-Potter-Lupin-Johnson family name was respected. But it also made dating slightly difficult when it seemed like certain members of the family(see Albus and Dom for details) had dated the entire school.
Of course they're not going to win. The Holyhead Harpies at the top of the league Fred”
“Well maybe if you gave the wasps a chance it would be different you wanker!”
James and Fred arguing was not unusual, in fact it was commonplace. Scourpius and Al sat down. Al looking like he hadn’t slept for a week. It was always awkward between me and Malfoy now. Ever since Fred’s birthday. We mainly just nodded as signs of acknowledgement. “What's up with you?”
“Potions” replied Albus.
Lily, James and Albus’ younger sister sauntered in. “Why do you look so happy Lil?” asked James, genuinely wanting to know.
“Because I just asked out Lysander Scamander ''
Shocked gasps were heard from all around the table. Suddenly James and Al’s eyes narrowed as they looked over where the boy in question was sitting. “Aren’t you too young?” Al said.
“If I’m correct you kissed Jacob Halls and then slept with his sister the next week” retorted Lily.
“Good one, Lils!” cried Roxie, Fred’s younger sister, my cousin and Lily’s best friend. This had put the Potter boys in a rather bad mood, judging by the looks on their faces. Only if Al knew I slept with Scorpius at Fred’s birthday party.
