It was a cold Christmas night, this is how all Christmas stories begin and this was no exception, despite having the stove on in his dorm there was still a slight cold breeze that caused chills to run down his spine from time to time, however, he ignored it or simply wrapped himself more with the blanket he had.
His gaze was fixed on his console, he was playing a game that Yuuki had recommended to him, his brow furrowed from time to time when he reached a difficult part or clicked his tongue, the television in his dorm was on and he was sitting on the couch, lately he had gotten used to playing games and listening to something in the background, he didn't necessarily have to pay his full attention to what the TV was showing, it was just more comfortable having noise instead of playing silently or with his console sounds.
Jump. Jump. Dodge. Hit. Jump again. And his character died, he was surprised for a few seconds, he didn't expect that kind of dirty trick from the game, he was going to try again until he heard his dorm door open, weird, he thought that Kohaku had gone to give a Christmas concert with Crazy:B, was it over so fast? that wasn't possible.
In the end, he decided to look up finding that gray hair and golden eyes that were staring at him, he was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed and a soft blush on his cheeks and nose, probably because of the cold and also because of how embarrassed he still got in situations like this, quietly waiting to be invited.
He suppressed a smile, maybe it was the Christmas spirit but he didn't want to make him angry. "Are you going to stay there or?" he put his console aside and opened his arms partly jokingly but surprisingly Koga sat between his legs and rested his back against his chest, this caused a certain blush to settle on his cheeks that he quickly brushed off.
He heard a sigh, Koga snuggled closer. " I'm cold. " well, he better go and pick up a new blanket or wrap up with the one he had or maybe- " ...Fucking hell. " it was a whisper but because of their closeness he could hear it, he didn't do anything so why- Oh. Shit, Koga wanted him to wrap the blanket around them.
Thankfully it wasn't late to do it although he hesitated for a couple of seconds, after all they needed to stick even more closer but fuck it his boyfriend was cold so he wrapped up the blanket around them and rested his chin on Koga's shoulder.
" So why are you sulking? You feeling lonely or something? Huh? " his teasing and sarcasm was already a normal thing between them but he didn't expect to Koga actually sulk and nod quietly, he felt worried for a moment but he waited for an explanation.
" Leon is sleeping with Kazehaya-senpai. " ...Hm. And? Was that really that bad? " Leon always sleeps with me but this time he even complained and went back to Kazehaya-senpai. " Oh my god, his boyfriend was the cutest, he was actually feeling lonely and sulking because his dog didn't want to sleep with him, he knew Leon was important to him but he never guessed it was this important... anyway, he had to find a way to cheer him up.
Did this meant sulky Koga equaled clingy Koga? Was he always like this when he sulked or was it a new face only for 'his boyfriend' to see? If it was the last option... he wasn't going to lie, his heart started to beat fast and a little dumb smile wanted to appear on his face.
" Am I your second option then? " he still tried to joke and tested the territory since it was new, this caused that Koga turned his face showing that little frown and before he heard complaints he took the opportunity to leave a kiss on his cheek. " Wanna watch a Christmas movie and make fun of the cheesy couples? "
Why even ask? It was obvious the answer was going to be yes although making fun of cheesy couples while they were literally cuddling on the couch was kinda hypocritical but well, they were happy like this.
They watched ' The holiday ' that movie about two girls from different countries who swap homes for the holidays, at some point it made him think about them as a couple, not exactly this movie, all the movies about couples always made him think about this topic.
How did they end up together? First they hanged out a lot with their dogs, then Koga invited him to the live house and they had a lot of fun, after all that they still went out and finally that day arrived, another invitation to the same place and a kiss, it happened too fast, he was having fun until he looked at Koga and their eyes met, he wasn't paying attention to the band, he was looking at him with those eyes that seemed to shine in the darkness of that place, that doubtful and anxious expression looking directly at him as if asking for an answer or permission until his face was suddenly grabbed and a soft lips touched his.
It happened too fast, yes, but at the same time it was slow, it all felt like a Disney movie with the fireworks in his head and his heartbeat in his ears canceling out the background noise. But when their kiss broke he saw the panic and regret on the other's face, but it was done and there was no going back so he held his hand tightly and continued watching the band, he didn't let his hand go until the end, they were both flustered, they didn't know how to start the conversation but being silent wouldn't get them anywhere, so he spoke first.
" Are we... dating now? " silence. I mean, he wasn't crazy for assuming that, was he? Especially if it's Koga we're talking about, he might be a little impulsive with certain things but he knew what topics were serious and this was one of them. Perhaps he needed to push him a little more although he flinched as soon as he heard the word 'dating'? Let's give it a shot. " Because, uh, I would like it y'know. "
Silence again, fuck, this whole thing was making him go crazy but somehow he understood certain part of it until he saw Koga playing with his bracelet, knowing him he for sure was thinking...
" Shit, this is so lame. " bull's eye. He sighed frustrated, closed his eyes for a couple of seconds and finally looked at him, his cheeks slowly turning red as well as his ears. " Yeah, we're going out now, got a problem with that? " Trying to act so cool like he wasn't dying of embarrassment, so cute.
He couldn't help but laugh making Koga basically a mess of nervousness and anger but in the end their fingers intertwined and they walked together to the dorms still teasing his now boyfriend about his ' love confession ' and how romantic it was earning more than one threat of ' taking his confession back '
And now they reached this point, although they still acted like always the only difference now was they kissed, held hands and cuddle, it was just a little change but, God, how happy he was, he never knew love would felt this good, i mean romantically love.
" Damn, he really went for it. " he laughed a bit after saying that but he didn't get an answer which made him curious, he leaned as far as he could and carefully only to find a sleeping Koga with his head resting on his shoulder.
What to do.
This couch wasn't that comfortable for him but did he trust in his strength enough though? His bed wasn't that far away... worst thing that can happen is Koga waking up because they fell on the floor while he was carrying him nuptial style, that can't be that bad, right.
First, turn off the TV.
Second, remove the blanket.
Third, carry Koga who was surprisingly light or was it the fruit of all his training finally showing off, he couldn't felt more proud, he even turned off the lights and dropped his boyfriend in his bed with a smile.
Should he have left his boyfriend in his own dorm? Sure, but he didn't want to annoy Tataumi who was probably asleep at this time and it wasn't like they didn't slept together before, they sometimes took naps together the only thing that was new was doing it at night and besides they were boyfriends so it shouldn't be that weird.
" Leon? " he flinched a little, that surprised him, he saw Koga blinking slowly, a yawn escaped from his lips, he was still so sleepy and was it legal for someone to be this cute or was it the love effect that made him think his boyfriend was hella cute? Wait a second.
" Do I really look like a dog? Is that even a compliment? He's orange and I'm blue y'know. " he raised one of his eyebrows at the same time he pointed at his hair but Koga couldn't care less about this and just pulled him closer to his chest and hugged his head.
From this he just guessed maybe Koga slept like this with Leon? they cuddled together? It was cute though, he wasn't in an uncomfortable position and he felt sleepy as well... he just hoped he could wake up first so he could see Koga's reaction to that ' little habit. '
