baby koo eagerly ran to the sandbox where two other littles were playing, excited for new friends and to build a pretty castle. he loved the sandbox! it was his favorite place in the whole park.

he sat down next to the other littles with a big smile and he waved at them after setting his bucket and shovel down. "play?" he asked politely.

the other two littles took one look at him, and then they looked back at each other confusedly. they'd never seen a little like this before.

they decided to keep playing on their own, looking away from koo entirely and even scooting over.

koo frowned slightly and looked down sadly. other littles never wanted to play with him. whenever he tried to make a new friend they'd ignore him, move away from him, and sometimes even go tell on him to their caregivers. koo especially didn't like it when they'd let him play only to be mean to him, laughing at him and poking and prodding at him. and he didn't understand why at all.

why did they always treat him like he was bad?

he wasn't bad, he was a very good boy in fact. daddy said so all the time and koo's daddy would never lie to him. 

so koo tried, and he kept trying to make friends and play with other littles but the more he got rejected, the shyer he became. he wasn't energetic, outgoing and friendly anymore. instead he was quiet and shy and did his best never to go near any other littles.

it really hurt his caregiver to see. namjoon wished koo could make some friends, and seeing how everyone treated his baby was so upsetting. how could they be so cruel? koo was a little just like them. just because he looked different on the outside didn't mean he deserved to be made fun of and ignored.

he never explained to koo why it was that he was treated this way. he thought it was nothing a little needed to be aware of, he just told koo that they weren't nice people and one day somebody nice would play with him. then he'd give him kisses and tickle him and koo would be all smiles and giggles again.

one day while koo sat in the sandbox happily making a mess, someone came and sat with him.

koo looked up from the sand, eyes big and adorable as he stared at the other little. koo was confused, and so very shy.

but the other little wasn't shy at all. he was smiling and reached his hand out to koo, offering his own shovel that was pink and decorated with sparkles. "sand!" he giggled.

koo's eyes landed on the shovel, heart fluttering in the best way possible because someone wanted to play with him. "sand." he whispered back with a smile as he accepted the pretty shovel and traded it for his own basic yellow one.

"mimi." the other little pointed to himself cutely.

"koo." he copied with a blush, because mimi was so pretty. he had a gorgeous face, bright smile and enchanting eyes with squishy cheeks complete with full lips.

koo took note of his outfit, too. he wore a t-shirt underneath some cute overall shorts and pink light up shoes. koo could see his rainbow socks peeking out too. mimi was totally cute.

and then koo noticed something else about mimi.

along with his squishy face were thick arms and legs, pudgy fingers, and squishy thighs. his overalls and t-shirt fit him well but koo could tell they were bigger sizes, on a bigger body.

like his.

mimi didn't look like other littles. he looked like koo.

"play!" mimi giggled excitedly and koo felt excited too, more excited than he'd been in a long time.

they made sandcastles and dug around for a while together, both of them laughing and smiling a whole bunch. then they decided to run around and play tag together all over the playground, ignoring the looks from other littles and their caregivers because koo for once didn't notice them, and mimi? well he never did.

namjoon of course noticed that koo made a friend, and he was overjoyed. koo looked so very happy and the smile never left namjoon's face as he watched them have fun together.

they played for over an hour until someone started calling for mimi, saying it was time to go. koo pouted and teared up, he didn't want him to leave, he already loved mimi so much. "mimi 'tay.." he cried.

mimi's eyes widened in concern immediately and he sat next to koo again. "koo." he frowned. then he decided to hug him, because hugs were the best and made everything better!

koo liked hugs too, melting into mimi's embrace and refusing to move because it was warm and cozy and he felt safe.

but then mimi's caregiver came over to them. "hey, puppy we have to get going. we can come back to see your new friend tomorrow." he said gently, then realizing exactly what kind of friend mimi made. it was so rare to meet another plus sized little in their society. in fact they never had before. "oh hi, sweetheart what's your name?" he smiled.

koo was especially shy around caregivers he didn't know, because they usually made him feel worse than other littles did. luckily namjoon hurried over to make sure everything was okay. "koo, baby let go of her." he said gently, worried that the other caregiver would get upset with koo for being clingy.

"no, it's okay." he reassured. "you must be his caregiver. i'm yoongi, mimi's caregiver. and he's a boy." yoongi chuckled.

"ah, sorry i shouldn't have assumed. i'm namjoon, this is koo. he hasn't had a friend in a while, sorry that he's already so attached." namjoon apologized as he pried koo away from mimi and grabbed the little's hand. koo only started fussing again and making grabby hands at mimi with tears in his eyes. namjoon's heart ached. "they have to go, baby..i'm sorry."

mimi looked up at his caregiver with big eyes and a pout that said they couldn't possibly leave yet, and whatever yoongi needed to do wasn't nearly as important as mimi's new friend. especially not when koo and mimi were just like each other!

"well.. i do need to get home to do some work, but if you're not busy maybe you and koo could come along? we'll make it a play date." yoongi offered.

"really?" namjoon smiled. "that'd be really nice, koo would love it. you wanna go have a play date with mimi?"

koo sniffled and nodded his head yes, messily wiping his face with his sleeve. mimi giggled at him, he was so endeared by koo.

"great, you can follow us back to our place." yoongi smiled gently. "come on, puppy."

mimi obediently got up and followed his caregiver, and koo was worried as they separated but namjoon promised him they were all going to the same place. koo got in the car without any trouble and let namjoon buckle him in like a good boy, looking out the window anxiously.

when they got to yoongi's house the littles were very happy to be reunited. koo relaxed again and mimi was all smiles and giggles like he always was.

"you wanna take koo to the playroom, puppy?" yoongi asked once they were all settled and had their shoes off.

mimi was already grabbing koo's hand to do just that. he led koo upstairs to the playroom where all the fun toys were and koo was bubbling with excitement. he hadn't been on a play date in so long.

and mimi had so many toys. koo had lots of toys at home but not this many at all!

"play!" mimi smiled and sat on the floor with koo copying him. koo wanted to do everything mimi did.

mimi grabbed some of his favorite toys and set them in front of koo before letting him pick what he wanted, and they started playing together happily.

"well, make yourself at home." yoongi smiled to namjoon. he set mimi's powerpuff girls backpack down and opened it to take out the little's snack container and water bottle. mimi hardly ate his snacks at the park today, he got so distracted playing with koo. "what does koo like to snack on?"

namjoon followed him as he headed to the kitchen, subtly looking around the place as they did so. it was very nice, and yet very cozy. namjoon could tell that yoongi was well off and that he used his money to create the safest, most loving environment for mimi. "koo loves bananas and graham crackers, if you have any of those."

"sure." yoongi opened the pantry and grabbed the graham crackers before getting a banana to cut up into slices. "so this is koo's first time meeting another bigger little?"

"yeah, it is. it's a relief, i'm so happy he found a friend." namjoon admitted. "koo is so sweet, he wouldn't hurt anybody and he just wants to love and be loved. it makes him really sad sometimes not having a friend."

"it's so upsetting, isn't it? watching other littles turn away from them because they don't look the same..it makes me sick." yoongi shook his head to rid himself of angry thoughts as he put the bananas and graham crackers in a snack container. then he grabbed mimi's untouched container holding cheese crackers and pepperoni slices.

yoongi got a couple of juice boxes and took everything upstairs to the playroom with namjoon trailing behind to make sure koo was okay.

koo was perfectly fine, he and mimi were playing happily and koo was smiling and giggling excitedly. he looked at mimi with such adoration in his eyes, and he followed along with every idea mimi had.

yoongi smiled at the sight as he entered the room and set the snack containers in front of them. "here you go, cuties."

mimi didn't hesitate to grab one of his crackers and munch on it, while koo was a bit more reserved. he was excited when he saw his favorite snack, but they weren't at home. he didn't know if he was allowed to eat freely like mimi was, without someone being mean to him.

he looked towards his caregiver for an answer and namjoon nodded encouragingly. "it's okay, koo. you can have it."

mimi even pushed koo's container closer to him. "koo snack." he said, then grabbing a pepperoni to enjoy as he wiggled happily.

koo smiled and copied him quietly, finally reaching for a graham cracker. "koo snack."

with both littles getting along and happily enjoying their snacks, yoongi and namjoon let them be and went to yoongi's office instead. that left the two to continue playing alone which they didn't mind.

"koo's very adorable, by the way." yoongi complimented as they entered his office. "and feel free to have a seat."

"thank you. mimi is adorable too." namjoon smiled and sat down on the sofa. "how long have you been his caregiver?"

"four years. he's everything i could've ever asked for. my little shadow, really. follows me everywhere and does everything i'm doing. that's my baby. i love him more than anything."

namjoon listened to him attentively and enjoyed hearing yoongi speak so lovingly about his little. "that's really sweet. i've been koo's caregiver for three years. he's the light of my life, i just want him to be happy. and so many people seem to want the opposite."

"as long as you're making him happy and loving him, you're doing your job as his caregiver. that's all that matters."

"well..i think your mimi already makes him very happy. if they could see more of each other, koo will be happier than ever. if you're up for it." namjoon said shyly.

yoongi smiled at him and nodded. "i'm up for it."

mimi and koo had tons of fun together in the playroom. they played with so many toys and made each other laugh and were very hyper and silly together. when their caregivers came to check on them they found the new best friends taking a nap together in mimi's cozy corner.

the cozy corner was a place in the playroom that yoongi specially created for mimi. it had lots of pillows, blankets and squishmallows for mimi's ultimate comfort and feeling of safety. it was his favorite place to take naps and seemed he introduced koo to it.

they looked completely adorable together, koo was curled up next to mimi with his paci and mimi was sprawled out comfortably with him. they were even sharing a blanket.

namjoon's heart melted. "oh, that is so precious." he whispered with a smile. tears came to his eyes even, he was just so happy and relieved that koo found a friend. this was the beginning of something wonderful.

yoongi and namjoon took each other's contact information and started planning more play dates for their littles.

the next one happened at namjoon's house, yoongi brought mimi over in the morning and koo had only just woken up. he was still in his pajamas and namjoon was in the midst of making him breakfast when the doorbell rang.

namjoon went to open the door and koo trailed behind him, rubbing one of his eyes sleepily until he saw mimi and he perked up immediately. "mimi!" he smiled and made grabby hands at him.

"koo!" mimi giggled and politely took his shoes off like his dada taught him to, and then he eagerly hugged koo.

"you're just in time, breakfast is almost ready." namjoon led them into the kitchen and the littles took a seat at the table. they sat right next to each other and started babbling while namjoon finished up the breakfast.

"anything i can help with?" yoongi offered as he took a look around the kitchen. "where are your plates? i can get them ready."

"oh, in there." namjoon directed yoongi to the correct cabinet and then informed him of where the silverware was kept as well.

yoongi got the plates ready for mimi and koo and helped namjoon put the food on them. "this looks delicious. you like cooking?"

"love it. i made enough for everyone, grab yourself a plate too." namjoon smiled. "i haven't cooked for extra people in a while, so i was kind of excited."

yoongi chuckled at that. "that's cute."

namjoon was caught off guard by that, and he blushed as he finished up the plates and they carried them to the table.

koo was distracted immediately at the sight of his favorite breakfast, strawberry pancakes. it was namjoon's own recipe and something that delighted koo every time he had them. there was also eggs and bacon and fruit on the side.

"i hope you like strawberries, mimi." namjoon smiled at him.

"don't worry, he loves strawberries. don't you baby?"

"stwabie!" mimi wiggled in his seat excitedly while yoongi cut up the pancakes for him. he ate some bacon in the meantime and it only made him wiggle more because it was so yummy!

koo's pancakes were cut up too and he was using his hands to eat them, not caring in the slightest about how sticky they were getting. namjoon always tried to get koo to use utensils but the baby simply didn't want to. he didn't understand why he needed to when he had two perfectly good hands.

mimi was a bit better about using his utensils, but one thing he did do was pick his plate up and try to lick the excess syrup off of it, which koo immediately had to copy.

"ah, mimi.." yoongi shook his head fondly.

"stwabie." mimi smiled adorably and set the plate down in favor of grabbing the milk namjoon gave him complete with a swirly straw.

koo had already finished his milk and when he was done copying mimi he set his plate down too and looked at him with such a light in his eyes.

"alright, koo let's go get dressed okay? then you can show mimi your room and you guys can play. and me and mister yoongi will be right in the living room if you need anything, okay?"

koo was hardly listening as he was just excited that mimi was next to him. namjoon had to gently redirect his attention and koo pouted a bit as he followed his caregiver upstairs.

"what do you wanna wear today, angel? maybe..the dino shirt? or how about your teddy bear shirt?"

"mimi." koo whined. namjoon could tell he was going to start fussing too so he decided to pick for him.

he got koo dressed in his teddy bear shirt and some comfy pants that matched, perfect for all day play and wear while still making koo look totally adorable. he finished it off with the little's socks and then koo hurried off to get mimi. he couldn't wait to show him his room, it had all his favorite things in it!

koo held his hand out for him to take and mimi giggled as he took it and followed koo up to his room.

koo's room was very cute, and yet simple. he had his bed of course with his froggy comforter and a couple of stuffed animals on it, a tv sitting on his dresser, and a bin with all of his toys in it. there was also a shelf with pull out storage cubes that had more things for koo like coloring items, storybooks, blankets, and pacis/things he could bite. mimi looked around curiously and decided he liked koo's room. so he sat right in the middle of the floor and smiled up at him.

koo immediately started grabbing his favorite things to show mimi. he showed him his favorite teddy bear, a picture he colored in just a few days ago, his choo choo train, and his favorite picture of him and his daddy.

mimi liked all of these things. koo let him hold the teddy bear and mimi hugged it happily. "bear." he giggled.

"bear." koo copied and clapped his hands. he was so happy that mimi liked his stuff. he liked mimi so much. "play, mimi choo choo." he rolled his train over to mimi and the older was ready to take the lead as a conductor.

"choo choo, yeah!" he started looking around for passengers to be on the train and he spotted more stuffed animals on koo's bed. he got up and grabbed a couple so he could roll the train around with the teddy bear on top as the conductor, and koo could follow with the stuffies as the passengers. koo loved it, laughing the entire time he followed mimi around his room.

it was very easy for mimi to make koo laugh. he was so very funny and silly, and koo was so easily entertained. it was a perfect mix.

after playing trains for a while they started building towers with some blocks koo had and getting very excited whenever they fell over.

then they settled down and started coloring and babbling to each other about anything and everything, and koo was still a giggling mess.

namjoon and yoongi could hear them from downstairs and they were glad they were having fun. meanwhile they were having a great conversation about music. namjoon noticed yoongi's vinyl collection in his office the other day and yoongi agreed that the next time they saw each other they could have a more in depth conversation about all the music they liked and didn't.

yoongi was very cultured, namjoon had known that from the first day they met but hearing him talk about music and share a lot of similar opinions to namjoon only solidified that fact.

they got to talking about more than just music, to things like their favorite movies and what the best dramas were and then they got to books.

and yoongi was more than cultured. he was incredibly intelligent. and he spoke so gently and was so naturally funny that namjoon was giggling and blushing and..yoongi was looking at him.

namjoon had butterflies in his stomach.

a little later the babies had snack time and mimi and koo were sharing with each other. they had animal crackers and were making all the animal sounds and trading for animals the other liked. koo got all the giraffes and mimi got all the elephants, but they shared all the bears and definitely didn't eat any of the kitty cats.

they had water with the crackers and then they wanted their caregivers to come play with them too. koo was so cute when he asked, looking at namjoon with his eyes big and his lips pouty while mimi went for the more direct 'dada play dada play!' until they both agreed and followed them with smiles on their faces. their babies were so adorable.

koo was a little hesitant to be playing with a caregiver other than namjoon. caregivers were always very mean to him and made him cry, but he could see how happy yoongi made mimi and he knew that meant yoongi had to be nice. even daddy seemed to think yoongi was nice.

mimi warmed up to namjoon right away, and he enjoyed engaging with him but he much preferred his dada who could make him laugh just by smiling at him. it was quite adorable, namjoon liked seeing just how much they loved each other.

yoongi also liked seeing namjoon and koo interact. he was still so relieved to see he wasn't the only one with a heart in the world. all littles deserved love, none should ever be left out.

and now mimi and koo had double the love they had before. they had each other, plus not only their caregivers but each other's caregivers to love them. they were both so happy.

namjoon and yoongi would do everything to keep it that way.

mimi and koo were getting to see each other a lot more, and the more time they spent together, the less they wanted to be apart.

the babies were inseparable now and it was to the point that koo wouldn't sleep through the night. now that he finally had a best friend it was hard for him to be alone.

namjoon was in his room peacefully sleeping when he started to hear koo crying. immediately his body reacted and he woke up and got out of bed without second thought. "koo?"

he went into koo's room and found his angel in his bed crying and holding onto his stuffie tightly. "want mimi.." he cried. "l-love mimi, daddy.."

"i know, angel. you're gonna see mimi tomorrow, remember? we're going to the zoo." namjoon got into bed with koo and pulled him close.

"mimi now, mimi now.." koo shook his head, unable to help the tears streaming down his face. he just wanted his mimi next to him.

"mimi is at home sleeping, like you should be. you wanna be awake in the morning to see all the pretty animals." namjoon felt around the bed for koo's paci and he gave it to him in hopes of quieting him.

koo sniffled and whined slightly, sleepily wiping his teary eyes as he gave in to the pacifier and started calming down. he snuggled closer to namjoon and his caregiver rubbed his back until his cries and hiccups stopped, and he went back to sleep. namjoon drifted back to sleep as well, content knowing his little was okay.

the next day was the big trip to the zoo that yoongi and namjoon planned. they got their littles dressed and fed and packed their bags, and then it was time to meet up.

namjoon drove over to yoongi's house and the second he was let out of the car koo ran up to the door and tried opening it. "mimi!" he called, finally figuring out how to twist the knob. the door was unlocked and koo ran upstairs immediately, nearly losing his balance as he was so excited. he burst into mimi's room and found yoongi putting mimi's shoes on for him. "mimi mimi!" koo squealed and giggled and disregarded yoongi completely as he attacked his best friend in a hug.

mimi laughed and hugged back just as eagerly. "koo!"

and they were dressed in matching outfits. it was still pretty warm out and the caregivers coordinated them to wear animal t-shirts underneath overall shorts. their shoes matched too, mimi's were blue to match the dolphin on his shirt and koo's were orange to match his lion shirt. they looked completely adorable together.

"i'm here too, silly baby." yoongi teased koo who wasn't paying attention to anyone but mimi.

"sorry, he was really excited to see mimi. he woke up crying for him last night." namjoon explained as he entered the room. he was still nervous that yoongi would get tired of koo being clingy with mimi and snap at him.

but yoongi would never do such a thing. he understood the special bond koo and mimi shared. "oh, was it bad?"

"no, i got him back to sleep pretty fast. but i'm not sure it'll always be that easy."

"right." yoongi hummed in thought for a moment before changing the subject. "no matter. he has you to help him. and you look really great, by the way."

namjoon wasn't expecting to be complimented and he blushed. "oh- thank you, hyung. you do too. look really great, i mean." he looked away shyly.

yoongi smiled at him softly before finishing mimi's shoe laces and standing up. "alright, babies let's go see all the animals."

mimi and koo got in the car obediently and let their caregivers buckle them in. the zoo was a bit of a drive away so the babies had a couple of things to keep them occupied in the backseat.

yoongi was driving and namjoon took the passenger seat. when yoongi was on the road he handed his phone over to namjoon. "here, you can play some music."

namjoon shyly accepted the phone and held it like it was fragile because this was yoongi's phone. it probably held all his personal information and contacts and social medias and he just handed it over to namjoon that easily? "oh- okay. anything?"

"whatever you like, i don't mind." yoongi reassured, so cooly as he drove and namjoon practically swooned.

namjoon looked through some of the top artists for something that yoongi would also like, and would be appropriate for the babies even though they weren't paying attention.

koo and mimi were busy talking and babbling while they played with their toys. namjoon loved hearing them, it was so much better than koo crying and being sad.

the caregivers enjoyed the music namjoon chose and talked a little bit about different things, and an hour later they arrived at the zoo.

when the car was parked koo and mimi put their toys away and their caregivers helped them out safely before grabbing their hands. yoongi put mimi's powerpuff girls backpack on and namjoon did the same with koo's dinosaur backpack. they had snacks, water, hand sanitizer, comfort items and more at the ready. anything the littles could need was covered.

upon actually entering the zoo the babies got very excited. everything looked so fun and inviting and koo really really wanted to see the tigers so that's where they started.

they went around and saw every animal they could between doing lots of activities, and taking lots of pictures. the babies were being very happy and excitable. other caregivers and littles stared at them, some of the littles whispered and asked their caregivers questions about why mimi and koo looked the way they did.

but mimi and koo paid them no attention. nothing could take koo's attention away from mimi.

yoongi and namjoon followed them around and tended to whatever needs they had, and they were enjoying their own conversations and each other's company.

once they left to go home the babies fell asleep within minutes of the ride beginning. koo was hugging the new tiger plushie he got and mimi had an otter plushie that he adored.

"koo had so much fun today, thank you for this." namjoon smiled over at yoongi. "you're really sweet for letting us hang out with you and mimi."

"you don't have to thank me, i enjoy your company and mimi loves koo. you two are more than welcome to spend as much time with us as you want." yoongi said sincerely. "you're both too cute to say no to."

namjoon blushed deeply and looked out the window. yoongi was way too nice. even after hanging out with him regularly for over a month he still couldn't get over it.

when they arrived back at yoongi's house they woke the littles up and headed inside for dinner. yoongi offered to cook earlier and namjoon agreed to it, but only if he could help because he really loved cooking.

and they had a lot of fun together, namjoon had never enjoyed cooking with someone else so much.

yoongi was so sweet towards him, telling him to be careful of burning himself and to be careful of being cut with the knife he was using. he actually cared for namjoon, it made him feel warm inside.

and they had such a nice dinner together..why end the night by going home?

"you guys should stay over." yoongi invited as he looked to namjoon, somewhat suddenly but he was having a great time and he thought namjoon was too. "mimi and koo can share mimi's bed and..you can sleep in mine."

namjoon looked back at him and the way they were staring at each other said everything.

"okay, we'll stay."

after dinner it was bath time and they gave the babies separate baths before getting them settled in mimi's room.

mimi's room was very cute and cozy. he had fairy lights that changed colors, a super comfy queen sized bed with a soft, rainbow duvet, and a very cute stuffie collection that his otter was now a part of. his tv was mounted on the wall so his dresser had space for pictures of him and yoongi. he also had a shelf with collectibles and figurines on it, things from the powerpuff girls and my little pony and sanrio.

mimi had on a comfy t-shirt and shorts pajama set, and yoongi gave koo a onesie that was just a little too tight for mimi, but it fit koo better. unfortunately it was a unicorn onesie since it was bought with mimi in mind, and koo wasn't really into unicorns, but he loved how soft and snuggly it was so he was okay with it.

"do the pretty babies want a bedtime story?" yoongi asked once they were both cozy in bed. mimi was ready with his otter and koo had his paci and was already rubbing his eyes sleepily as he hugged his tiger.

"dada stowy!" mimi giggled excitedly. bedtime stories were his favorite part of the night, he didn't even care which story yoongi chose. he loved them all.

namjoon returned just in time for the story with a bottle of warm milk for koo. his baby reached for it and switched his paci for the bottle happily. he'd be asleep within minutes.

yoongi started reading the story to them and namjoon assisted by doing some of the voices with yoongi, making mimi laugh so hard his tummy hurt a little after.

koo let out a giggle or two but focused on his milk until it was all gone and he couldn't keep his eyes open. namjoon gently took the bottle and gave his paci back, and after giving him lots of gentle kisses all over his face he told koo he loved him.

"love daddy." koo murmured back. then he tightened his hold on his tiger stuffie and fell asleep.

mimi noticed that koo was now asleep and he put his finger up to his mouth to signal yoongi to be quiet. "koo s'eep." he whispered.

yoongi chuckled softly. "yeah, puppy. now it's your turn to sleep." he helped mimi get snuggled in and gave him a hug and a kiss on his forehead. then he turned his fairy lights on a pink twinkle setting and they shared 'i love you's before yoongi and namjoon left the room.

many more nights were spent together after that. things became so much more loving and intimate, nothing and nobody could get between any of them.

mimi and koo were being spoiled with so many fun outings, yummy food, new toys and so much love and attention. none of this was particularly new to mimi, but for koo it was. namjoon never had as much money to do so many nice things and give koo the world like yoongi could do for mimi. he always did what he could and koo had been very happy, but namjoon felt so good with yoongi by his side helping to give koo extra like he deserved.

yoongi loved to provide. he loved giving mimi every nice thing he could, and now he could do the same for koo, and for namjoon.

namjoon just loved caring for others and especially loved cooking for them. yoongi let him come over and cook whenever he wanted to, and namjoon felt fulfilled being able to feed three entire people, not including himself. mimi loved his cooking, was always so polite and sweet when he asked for more and namjoon was more than happy to give it to him.

koo loved all the time he got to spend with mimi. they hardly went a day without seeing each other and koo never left his side. he was mimi's shadow and copycat, much like mimi was to his dada.

mimi adored koo, he was so loving and protective towards him. he loved making koo laugh and anytime he got hurt or felt sad he'd hug him and tell him he loved him. because he did, he really loved koo and he was so happy they were best friends now. koo meant everything to him.

"you know, koo's birthday is in a couple of weeks." namjoon said to yoongi while they took a walk in the park with the littles, hand in hand.

"oh, is it?" yoongi smiled, looking to said little who was walking alongside mimi and playing with a bouncy ball.

"yes, september first. and koo's never had someone at his birthday besides me, it'd mean the world if you and mimi would be there this year. koo would be so happy."

"we wouldn't miss it, it'll be koo's best birthday yet." yoongi reassured. "what are you thinking of doing for him?"

"i was thinking of taking him to lotte world. he's always wanted to go but i was always nervous..because of the other littles and caregivers, you know? but i think..this year with you and mimi there he'll be able to have fun. mimi makes koo feel safe to be himself. and you..you make me feel that way too."

"you're always safe with me. i'll make sure lotte world is an unforgettable birthday for koo." he reassured, looking at namjoon so fondly.

namjoon looked back at him, wondering how it was possible that someone like yoongi existed, and how he was the one lucky enough to have him.

two weeks later was koo's birthday and the baby actually cried from how happy he was to have a best friend to celebrate with. he'd only had namjoon for years, so having mimi and even yoongi made him emotional but in the best way possible. he was just so happy and felt so loved.

mimi gifted him a green dragon stuffie with wings and it became koo's favorite item to have. he never goes without it and he loves hugging it and talking to it and of course playing dragon with it. he even named it peanut butter and he expected namjoon and yoongi to address it as such.

lotte world was a blast, mimi and koo got to ride lots of fun things, pick out items at the shops, and eat lots of yummy food and candy.  it was one of the best days of koo's life.

they ended the night with a big sleep over in the living room. the babies got comfortable amidst lots of blankets and pillows and stuffies on the floor, and the caregivers took the couch and played some cartoon movies for them.

koo was so happy and so at peace. he was snuggled up to mimi with his dragon, and comfy under their blanket as he watched the movie. he had a teething ring that he was sleepily biting and he felt perfectly cozy in his soft teddy bear onesie.

mimi was happy too. he adored koo and loved being close to him and making sure he was always safe and protected. he especially loved moments like these when koo would snuggle with him and not move a muscle. mimi stayed close to the younger even as he kept his eyes on the tv and giggled at the movies.

their caregivers were cuddling as well. namjoon was comfortably wrapped in yoongi's arms, enjoying his protective hold and gentle touches. yoongi was rubbing his back, or playing in his hair, and it made namjoon want to stay in this spot forever.

"you know what i've been thinking lately, baby?" yoongi whispered to him.

"what?" namjoon peeked up at him, making yoongi smile because he thought he was so cute.

"you and koo should move in with us. officially."

"move in? really? with you?" namjoon tried to keep his excitement at bay incase yoongi didn't mean it that way.

"mhm, you're here so much already, and we love having you around..i want you here all the time."

"and you're serious? you won't get sick of us?"

"never." yoongi gently caressed his cheek, looking at namjoon so fondly with the softest smile on his face. "let me take care of you."

namjoon just about melted. "okay. we'll move in." he blushed.

"kookoo!" mimi whispered excitedly as he tapped koo and tried to get him to wake up.

koo whined and held his dragon closer. he was sleeping really good, he didn't wanna wake up.

"kookoo up!" mimi tried again, giggling as he instead poked koo on his cheek which made the baby open his eyes with a pout. "hi, kookoo! christmas, up up!"

"christmas?" koo sleepily rubbed his eyes and sat up. "present?"

"pwesent!" mimi held his hand out for koo and the younger accepted.

together they left koo's room, previously the playroom that yoongi and namjoon turned into a room for him, and then mimi led him into their caregivers' bedroom.

they were still asleep as it was early in the morning, and koo wanted to crawl into bed with them too because even on christmas the baby prioritized sleep.

yoongi had his arm over namjoon's waist and even in his sleep he held him close. namjoon's head was tucked under yoongi's chin and he was deep in his sleep and so comfortable he hadn't moved all night except to get closer.

"dada, daddy!" mimi got on the bed and bounced around to wake them up with excited giggles. "christmas! pwesent!"

koo stood off to the side hugging his dragon and sucking his pacifier. he was just sleepy and a little hungry.

yoongi and namjoon started waking up within seconds. "okay, puppy we're coming." yoongi chuckled. "let dada and daddy get up and we'll be down, okay? go wait downstairs."

mimi nodded and grabbed koo's hand to go downstairs with him. while they waited for their caregivers they went into the kitchen for a morning snack. mimi went to the counter where they had two containers with their names on it, and each one was filled with snacks they liked and they were allowed to grab something anytime they were hungry between meals.

mimi couldn't read but he knew his container was the one with a heart on it and koo's had a star. so he opened his and grabbed a granola bar and koo chose some blueberry mini muffins.

they sat on the kitchen floor as they ate and talked, mostly babbling and giggling until they were finished and their caregivers came downstairs.

"alright, who wants to open their presents!" yoongi called, prompting the babies to run back to the living room excitedly.

koo sat next to namjoon and leaned into his side for some attention while mimi eagerly waited for his dada to hand him a present.

"good morning, angel." namjoon smiled and kissed the top of koo's head. "are you excited for christmas?"

"christmas." koo repeated cutely.

"you wanna open a present too? you can, here." namjoon grabbed one of koo's presents and handed it to him.

koo accepted it and watched mimi open his present first. mimi was wiggling as he ripped the wrapping paper off and when he saw a mermaid barbie he squealed and kicked his feet. "dada!" he quickly showed it to yoongi as though he wasn't the one who chose it.

yoongi thought he was adorable. "i see, puppy! that's really cool. are you gonna go on lots of swimming adventures with her?"

mimi giggled excitedly and nodded. he couldn't wait to have adventures with his new doll. "kookoo!" mimi had to show it to koo next, and his best friend liked it. he was happy because mimi was happy.

and last but not least he wanted to show it to namjoon next. joon's heart practically melted. "daddy!"

"it's very nice, mimi. i like it." he was honored that mimi wanted to include him.

"now open yours, sweetheart." namjoon encouraged koo when mimi settled down. he was excited for koo to see what he got.

koo tore the wrapping paper off too, much calmer and gentler than mimi had, and he saw a new dumptruck toy. it was big, and there was lots of space to put stuff to dump out on the inside. it even had a button to press so it made noise.

koo loved this a lot. he smiled and his nose scrunched up and he flapped his sleeves, signaling to namjoon that it was perfect. "truck!"

mimi was the first person koo wanted to show it to, eagerly tapping the older and pointing to the truck until mimi looked at it and babbled something to him happily. and koo liked it even more now because mimi did.

they opened the rest of their presents and they loved every single one. mimi's favorite was a new barbie dreamhouse, a great addition to the two he already had and he couldn't wait to spend hours playing with all three of them!

koo's favorite present was a cool airplane toy. he was already running back and forth through the living room flying it around and doing plane sounds which his caregivers thought was totally adorable.

with the babies happily playing with their toys, namjoon went to start making them a nice christmas breakfast.

namjoon was super excited to cook a bunch this year now that he was cooking for four, and he wasn't holding back for breakfast. he wouldn't let yoongi touch a thing, and the older didn't mind as he let namjoon do what he wanted. he knew cooking was namjoon's passion and he'd been talking about christmas for weeks and asked yoongi for a bunch of ingredients to make breakfast and dinner extra special and delicious.

yoongi spent time with the babies while namjoon worked his magic and koo really wanted someone to play with him. mimi was engrossed in his own toys so koo timidly looked to yoongi instead. "dada play?" he whispered.

yoongi smiled and nodded eagerly. koo was still learning to be comfortable engaging with him and it was great that he had asked. "yeah, buddy what do you wanna play?"

"truck." he rolled his new dumptruck over and looked to yoongi for his reaction, and he was relieved when yoongi seemed just as excited as he was.

so together they started putting various items into the truck and then dumping it out, and koo loved it. he even started giggling and smiling at yoongi, and when he was done with the truck he moved on to the airplane and let yoongi chase him around while he pretended to fly it.

breakfast was ready after a bit and yoongi helped set the table because at the very least he could do that without namjoon pouting.

the babies eagerly sat at the table and namjoon served them both full plates; he couldn't wait to see their reactions.

they both loved the breakfast, they loved all of namjoon's cooking and it always filled his heart with so much joy to see. they even wanted seconds and after a bit of hesitation namjoon got a second plate for himself too.

after getting their tummies nice and full their caregivers got them cleaned up and dressed for the day. they got the babies matching christmas pajamas and made sure to take lots of pictures of them together because they looked so adorable. then they settled down to watch christmas movies and continue playing and spending time together.

with all the present hype over with and a nice breakfast to fill him up, koo was now very sleepy. he didn't like waking up early and he didn't want to be awake anymore because he could hardly keep his eyes open. he quickly became upset and started whining and fussing.

"baby what's wrong?" namjoon was concerned immediately of course. koo just started crying and making grabby hands at him and that's when it clicked. "you're sleepy, honey. come to daddy."

koo got in his lap and rested against him, quieting for only a moment before he started fussing again. "daddy, dada.." he sniffled.

"we're both right here, baby..what is it?" namjoon frowned as he tried to understand what was wrong.

koo only repeated himself and pulled away to look at them both with teary eyes, only getting more upset the longer it took for them to understand.

"don't cry, bud. tell daddy and dada what's wrong." yoongi encouraged while he gently wiped koo's tears away.

koo leaned into the touch and repeated himself again, and namjoon finally understood when he saw koo trying to nuzzle closer to yoongi.

"oh, he wants to cuddle with us." namjoon smiled fondly. "that's what my precious baby wants, yeah?"

"daddy, dada." he whispered sleepily.

"yeah, baby. come on, let's go cuddle in our bed okay?"

koo nodded and wiped his face sleepily as he got up and waited for his caregivers to follow.

"come play upstairs, puppy. we'll play the movie in our room and koo's gonna take a nap." yoongi told mimi.

mimi was very happily entertaining himself and playing with his dolls. he smiled up at yoongi and listened like the good boy he was. he stood and gathered his dolls and yoongi grabbed the dreamhouse for him so they could all go up to the caregivers' bedroom.

koo got snuggled into their bed immediately and only when he had his daddy and dada holding him did he finally fall asleep, paci in his mouth and peanut butter in his arms.

mimi kept playing by himself on the floor, but then he started getting sleepy too. he quietly climbed into bed with them and squirmed his way between yoongi and koo where he got comfy and started falling asleep within seconds.

after a nice nap the babies got to play outside in the snow. they threw snow at each other, made snow angels, and mimi tried to build a snowman with their caregivers while koo sat on the side eating the fresh snow with not a single thought in his head. he was just very happy. he liked being here with mimi, daddy, and dada.

after a couple of hours they went inside and warmed up with hot chocolate. namjoon made them some lunch and then it was play time once again.

mimi and koo played together while namjoon and yoongi listened to christmas songs together. on the slower songs they'd sway around the living room, looking into each other's eyes so lovingly. yoongi held namjoon close and whispered sweet words to him, and they shared gentle kisses.

the babies saw them and decided they wanted kisses too. koo pouted and mimi crawled over to tug yoongi's shirt for his attention.

yoongi and namjoon looked to their babies and couldn't help but laugh at how cute they were. they were both looking at them with big, adorable eyes and mimi was pouting his lips for a kiss while koo looked like he was gonna burst if nobody gave him a kiss in the next five seconds.

"aw, our babies want some attention?" namjoon sat down and patted his lap for koo and his baby crawled to him immediately and felt happy again after getting kisses on his precious bread cheeks.

yoongi was giving mimi lots of kisses all over his face and the little was laughing a whole bunch and couldn't contain his excitement. "dada!" he squealed and only giggled more when yoongi started tickling him.

koo didn't want to be tickled today so namjoon wouldn't be doing the same to him, but he did start playing peek a boo with him which was a game koo completely loved. peek a boo was the easiest way to make koo laugh and his laugh was namjoon's favorite sound. and he was so completely cute when he tried to be the one to scare namjoon.

they settled down after that and namjoon figured it was time to start on his spectacular dinner.

"daddy's gonna start making a very yummy dinner for you, wanna come watch?" he smiled.

koo nodded and grabbed his airplane to take with him, and then he approached mimi and grabbed his hand to bring him too. "mimi."

mimi smiled and immediately accepted his hand, and then he wanted his dada to come too. so it turned into everyone going into the kitchen so namjoon could start dinner.

yoongi still wasn't allowed to help, but that didn't stop him from giving namjoon kisses and compliments and doing dumb things to make him laugh.

meanwhile the babies sat on the floor babbling to each other and playing, and they had the great pleasure of being namjoon's taste testers.

mimi wiggled happily every time he tasted something yummy, while koo would open his mouth for more only to pout when namjoon told him he had to wait. but soon enough everything was ready and namjoon was making very pretty, full plates for them.

he felt very fulfilled when everyone was at the table eating together and enjoying the meal. he was especially happy that yoongi thought it was great.

after dinner they made christmas cookies with the babies. mimi and koo had lots of fun getting their hands messy and decorating their cookies how they wanted to. they got to share the remaining cookie dough after and they loved it.

they enjoyed their cookies and milk and made sure to share with each other, and then they watched some cartoon christmas specials until bath time.

bath time was when the babies knew it was time to unwind and get ready for bed soon. mimi loved playing in the bubbles and splashing around excitedly, and koo would just quietly play with his toys while namjoon washed him. he was sleepy now, as he often was. baby just loved sleeping.

they were dressed in another set of christmas pajamas and then they were free to do whatever until bed while the caregivers tidied up the day's mess.

mimi chose to play more in his room, and koo wanted to be next to him so he got comfy in mimi's bed with a paci and his dragon stuffie. he watched him play with droopy eyes, feeling safe and happy.

mimi made sure to be entertaining for his best friend. he was so silly and koo was laughing at him. he thought mimi was the funniest person ever.

his laughter started turning into quiet giggles as he got sleepier, and he hugged peanut butter closer to himself and snuggled further under mimi's covers. a few minutes later he was drifting off, peaceful and so very cute.

mimi abandoned his toys in favor of getting in bed next to koo and making sure he was snugly tucked in. "nigh' nigh' koo." he whispered, snuggling himself next to him and holding him as best as he could, like his dada would do to him. "wove koo."

"love mimi." koo murmured, pressing as close to him as he could and smiling slightly as he felt warm, not just warm physically but warm in his heart too. he felt loved, and so very grateful. and mimi felt the same.

they fell asleep together like that, both having peaceful dreams and neither separating from the other. their caregivers came to check on them once the living room and kitchen were clean and they both melted at the sight in front of them.

"they look so happy." namjoon whispered, and he felt tears in his eyes. "they're perfect. i love them."

"they love you too, baby. come on, let's let them rest." yoongi smiled and grabbed his waist.

"okay. one second." namjoon turned the light off and switched to mimi's fairy lights, and then he quietly approached and gave both of them a gentle kiss on their head. "goodnight, babies. i'm so happy you have each other."

and he made sure they were both tucked in well, unable to help himself as he gave them each another kiss before quietly stepping out with yoongi to go to their room.

the babies slept through the night soundly, and then they were up and ready to have another fun adventure together the next day. mimi was already energetic and excited with ideas of what to do today in mind.

and koo couldn't wait to follow him into whatever it was. as long as they would do it together, he'd be happy.

because nobody could make koo smile and giggle and brighten up the way mimi could. and mimi would always do everything to see koo that way. after all, that's what friends were for, and they were best friends!

koo would never have to be sad or lonely again, and he and mimi would only ever be happy together.

and happy was all they deserved to be.
