After the events of the Walpurgis, Milim paid Rimuru a visit in Tempest to see how the new Demon Lord was acclimating.
“Ay, Milim! Over here!” Rimur shouted, spotting the pink-haired Demon Lord from the ground.
“Hello Rimuru!” Milim greeted him happily. “I have come to see how you are adjusting to life as a Demon Lord!” She pumped her fist to her chest.
“Things are coming along quite nicely.” Rimuru said while leading Milim to the Reception hall. “Besides, I have a special something for you.” Rimuru quirked his eyebrows and Milim grinned broadly. When they entered the reception hall, Shuna had a feast laid out across the grand table.
“You made me lunch!” Milim cried out in glee.
“Not just any lunch.” Rimuru wagged his finger. “A collection of Tempest's finest foods and drinks.” Milim's eyes shone with happiness and she took a seat next to Rimuru at the head of the table.
“Thank you Rimuru!” Milim dug into her food, earning a pleased smile from Rimuru. Rimuru watched her with content, smiling every time Milim complimented the feats of the Jura Tempest Federation. Once Milim got her fill, Rimuru finished off the leftovers.
“I have some things to show you.” Rimuru grabbed Milim’s hand causing her to blush. Rimuru dragged Milim out of the reception hall and onto the streets of the city. Rimuru showed Milim the new sector of the city, the many new stalls lining the streets, and most importantly the fireworks. After the Summer Festival, Kaijin had kept the firework equipment in case Rimuru asked.
By the time Rimuru was done showing Milim around it was practically night. Rimuru had one final surprise for his favorite Demon Lord friend. In a way Milim was like Rimuru’s special Demon Lord partner. “Ay, Rimuru, what is this final surprise?” Milim was wandering behind Rimuru, eyes darting in every direction.
“If you follow me up this hill I’ll show you.” Rimuru said while walking up the hill. On top the pair had an excellent view of the night sky. As soon as Rimuru sat down and set up their picnic dinner, bright fireworks exploded into the sky in millions of bright colors. Milim was pleased and eventually she moved herself onto Rimuru’s lap, who put his arms around her like a protective older brother. After the fireworks had all been set off, Milim was asleep. Rimuru picked her up piggy-back style and walked her back to the village.
