Teal: Hello everyone! My name is Teal and I’m a Pokémon trainer that started going on journey not too long ago in the Aisha region. Tagging along with me is a Pokémon ranger Caleb who I recently met in a village nearby. He was reluctant to go with me at first, but he had no choice as the acting chief of his village ordered him to do so. Thank goodness the current acting chief is my childhood friend! I really need all the help I can get going forward.
Currently, Teal and Caleb walking through a route as they continue their journey.
Teal: So Caleb, do you happen to know where the nearest Pokémon gym is?
Caleb: Huh? Why would you want to challenge another gym already? It hasn’t even been that long since you earned your first badge!
Teal: I gotta get to the Pokémon league somehow don’t I? Now that I think about it, I could easily just pull up my Rotom phone to give directions!
Caleb: H-hold on now…..
Suddenly a voice calls out to them.
??? Pikachu?
Caleb and Teal: Eh?
Teal: Woah!!! It’s a Pikachu! It looks so cute!
Caleb: What’s a random Pikachu doing out here?
Pikachu: Pi Pikachu. Pikapi ka?
Teal: Those details don’t matter to me! Gotta catch it! Monster Ball, Go—….
Caleb: Hold it right there!
Teal: Hah?! Why are you stopping me?!
Caleb: Because you’re clearly an inexperienced trainer!
Teal: What?! I’ll have you know that I was taught under one of the greatest professors of the region! Professor Geranium! Also, the most famous trainers out there have a Pikachu on their team! That Pikachu shall be mine!
Caleb: That doesn’t matter! Here, I’ll show you how to properly do it by catching Pikachu myself!
Teal: Nope! I see what’s going on. You’re trying to prevent me from getting an advantage over you isn’t it? Me catching Pikachu would surely put your water type Frogadier at a disadvantage!
Caleb: Seriously?! You think I would lose to something as simple as that?! Are you calling me a weak trainer?!
Teal: Considering that I won the battle when we first met, yes!
Caleb: That’s it! Battle me right now!
Teal: Winner gets to catch Pikachu? You’re on!
Teal: PanPaye! I choose you!
Caleb: Frogadier! Let’s go!
Teal: PanPaye! Dark Pulse!
Caleb: Frogadier! Water Pulse!
Both moves have canceled each other out.
Teal: PanPaye! Use arm thrust!
Caleb: Frogadier! Counter that with Pound!
PanPaye charges in for an Arm Thrust attack, but Frogadier blocks it. Both are now at a standstill gripping against each other.
Teal and Caleb: …..
The sound of footsteps approach the scene followed by Pikachu’s voice.
Pikachu: PikaPi!
Teal and Caleb: ….?! World Champion Ash?!!
Ash: There you are buddy! I finally found you! We better hurry back. The others are waiting on us!
Pikachu: Pika!
Teal and Caleb: (You mean this whole battle was for nothing?!)
Ash is walking away with Pikachu riding his shoulder. Teal is following behind trying to run towards them. Caleb let’s out a sigh from witnessing his travel companion become blissfully distracted.
Teal: Wait! Wait! Let me take a photo with you two!
Caleb: Good grief….
