"OI, WHEELER! GET YOUR F*CKING ASS UP!"
Mike jerked awake, then grunted as he bumped his head against another's. Opening his eyes, she saw a pair of green ones looking at him, a curtain of red hair falling over his face.
"Max? What the f-"
The Mayfield girl jumped back, grinning wildly.
"I know that look. What do you want?"
"Get dressed because you and I are going to the rink."
Time Jump, thirty minutes later
Max groaned as Mike fell off the board.
"Seriously? You can do better than that."
Mike got to his feet. "Easy for you to say. I'm not the one skating to school."
Max shrugged. "OK, fair. But I managed to teach El. Apparently you don't have the same speed in learning."
"Hey! I'm offended." Mike protested.
Max grinned. "That's the idea. Now get up."
