Chapter 1: Passing the Tourch

Chapter Text

Three years had passed since Frieza took over the Red Ribbon Army, now called the Frieza Army, as it's new emperor. Along with making peace with King Furry and beginning to fix the army's reputation. His soldiers continued maintaining peace between different regions of Earth. Assisting the local police and making sure crime activity was at an all time low.

Frieza had also continued to train his soldiers in the art of Ki. His teachings allowed many of his troops to surpass that of normal humans. Though only the soldiers ranked captain and higher were taught more extensive Ki lessons. Everyone below were only taught the basics. This allowed Frieza to make sure his lower ranked troops didn't get power hungry and abuse their power on innocent people.

The most powerful soldiers on Frieza's army were General Violet, Staff Officer Blue, Colonel Silver, and Captain Launch. By this point, Launch had entered Frieza's army, and under the direct teachings of General Violet, per Frieza's direct orders. She quickly rose through the ranks to become a captain and a senior medical officer. Her blue haired form was surprisingly perfect for this, despite her obliviousness to certain situations. Launch quickly became a skilled surgeon and her bedside manner was unrivaled.

Her blonde haired form was more than adequate for battle, which is why she was assigned her own Special Forces unit, called The Switchers, with her as the leader and medic. Her unit was created to weed out corrupt members of the army in secret.

In any case Frieza kept Launch close as an ally. He wanted to promote her to staff officer, and he very well could. But decided to let her rise through the ranks for two reasons. For one it would most certainly look like favoritism from his other troops. And two, he wanted his other troops to see her skills. Which even Violet was noticing and informing him about. A fact Frieza was certainly pleased to hear.

Goku also visited his best friend from time to time, Roshi had recommended he train on his own in the wild since Roshi had nothing left to teach him. But Frieza told his friend he could always come around and train if he wanted too. Goku of course agreed to this, and trained with his best friend for hours when he would come by. Frieza was still above him, but Goku was bit by bit, closing the gap.

Goku was even more powerful than Frieza's most powerful soldiers, Blue and Violet. But they used this as motivation to become stronger, Violet especially as she became Frieza's unofficial bodyguard through the attention and money she was getting for working for him.

...

In any case now was the time for the annual World Martial Arts Tournament to begin. Frieza decided he wouldn't participate this time, winning these events wasn't something he really cared about. Running his army was a better use of his time. Although he didn't want to miss out on seeing his best friend compete, so he decided to put Blue in charge while he was gone. With General Violet and Launch accompanying him to the event.

The group flew in one of the army's personal ships for the emperor. Arriving just in time for them to buy their tickets and check in. It was then that they met up with Bulma, Roshi, Krillin, and Yamcha. All of whom embraced each other in a hug.

"Roshi, it has been some time since we've last seen each other in person." Said Frieza happily as he broke a hug with his adoptive parent.

"Yes it has my boy, with you busy running your army and all." Replied Roshi before he turned his attention to Violet and Launch, both in full Frieza Army uniform. A modified version of the Red Ribbon Army uniform, just without the Red Ribbon logo. "And I see you brought my favorite soldiers." Roshi smirked as Launch giggled in her blue hair form, while Violet gave him a stern look.

"Easy father, I wouldn't mess with General Violet, she can and probably will rip you apart." Frieza said, putting a hand to his adoptive father's chest.

Roshi was about to dismiss him, but the look in Violet's eyes told him that Frieza was telling the truth.

So Roshi only gulped in response, "I suppose so."

The group laughed before a young voice was heard calling out to Frieza from behind. Frieza turned around, only to see Goku running up to him, he and Frieza quickly embraced each other in a hug before Frieza set Goku down. Only for him to wave to everyone else.

"It's good to see you Goku, and I think you got taller." Chuckled Yamcha.

"Yeah I suppose I did," replied Goku as he looked over himself innocently.

"Well we should check in, before we're late." Said Krillin.

"Right, see you during the matches." Smiled Goku as Frieza smiled back.

"As if," chuckled a voice as the group turned to see the source of the voice. Roshi's eyes widened in surprise upon seeing an old man, with two younger men beside him.

"Shen," said Roshi.

"This is Master Shen?" Asked Frieza as he turned to Roshi, who could only nod sternly.

"Who is Master Shen?" Asked Goku.

"An old friend of Roshi's," said the old man, "but now we're bitter rivals, and my school will defeat yours in this tournament." Shen said confidently, making a fist as he said so.

"Oh really?" Question Yamcha, "say's who?"

"We do," said the taller and more muscular man beside Shen.

"And ... you are supposed to be?" Asked Krillin.

"Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu," replied the buff man as he pointed to the small clown child on the other side of Shin.

"Well whoever you two are," began Yamcha, "you aren't going to be able to defeat us."

Tien smirked, "oh we'll see about that, that is if your freak here isn't going to compete. Because I've heard he's a very powerful foe."

Frieza smirked, "well then it is fortunate for you I am not competing, wouldn't want this tournament to be too easy after all."

The group snickered as Tien glared, before Shen motioned for him and Chiaotzu to follow him inside.

"You boy's should hurry inside yourselves," said Roshi, "wouldn't want you all to be late."

"Yes sir!" Cried Yamcha, Goku, and Krillin before they headed inside.

Roshi and Bulma began to head inside as well, but Frieza decided to wait outside with Launch and Violet for a moment.

"What is it sir?" Asked Violet.

"Violet, I want you to enter this tournament for me."

Violet raised an eyebrow, "what for sir? If you don't mind me asking."

"Because I want to show the world what one of my top general's is capable of. Besides, I know you've been itching for a real fight, and for all of your hard work recently I've decided to give you a reward."

Violet was surprised, at first thinking it was a trick before quickly deducing Frieza wasn't lying or tricking her.

"Well then sir," she replied, "I'll enter, thank you for the gift."

"Of course, General, now make the Frieza Army proud."

Violet saluted, "yes sir," she replied before heading inside.

Frieza began to follow, before Launch stopped him. "Frieza, do you want me to fight as well?"

Frieza thought for a moment before answering, "no, I'd rather have you with me if that's okay. I do enjoy your company." He smiled.

Launch blushed for a brief moment before regaining her senses. "Okay then, but I know my blonde side has been wanting to test my combat skills."

"I know, but I am giving this to Violet as a reward and to make sure my unofficial bodyguard isn't losing her touch."

Launch nodded, "good idea Frieza."

"Thank you, now let's enter to watch."

Launch nodded in response before following behind Frieza. They quickly found where Bulma was sitting, although Roshi was not there. Frieza immediately knew that his adoptive parent was most likely parading as Jackie Chun to enter the tournament. Frieza chuckled to himself, remembering all those years ago when a similar thing happened. He wondered how long his father would be able to last, as Goku and Violet were definately more powerful than him. But Roshi was full of tricks, so he didn't know for sure. He also wondered why he was even competing, since Goku, Krillin, and Yamcha weren't power hungry or egocentric. So teaching them a lesson didn't make sense. Frieza didn't know, but he'd find out soon anyhow.

...

Inside of the tournament grounds, the announcer gathered all of the fighters together to begin the preliminaries. Goku, Krillin, Yamcha, Violet, Jackie Chun (Roshi), Tien, and Chiaotzu were there. And all of whom completed their matches easily. Nam also competed, but was easily defeated by Tien. His brutal defeat shocking the Turtle School students before angering them. As he had to be carried off of the mat by medical personal.

Nam's defeat gave the Turtle School students another reason to want to take Tien down. No matter the cost. Goku especially. He may have defeated Nam three years ago, but he still respected the older fighter. His defeat here wasn't deserved, Tien needed to go down. Goku knew this.

By then end of the preliminary's, the first round of the tournament was about to begin. With the fight being Jackie Chun VS General Violet. The crowd cheered as the two fighters stepped out onto the ring. Being an investigator, and a general. Violet quickly determined that Jackie Chun was Roshi in disguise. So she knew this fight was something she was going to enjoy. Roshi had nearly touched her several times, so she was ready to pay him back.

The two walked to their sides of the ring, Violet on the right and Jackie Chun on the left. Roshi bowed before Violet, while Violet took a fighting stance. The announcer then began the match, Roshi rushed towards Violet, who blocked the strike he threw at her. Violet's deadly gaze never ceased as she retaliated with a punch of her own. Knocking Roshi back. His feet skidded to a stop as he rubbed his lip, where Violet had stuck him.

"Damn," Roshi thought, "she's very powerful, Frieza's been training his soldiers well. I'll have to take her down with more than just punches. Cuz another hit like that, could definitely knock me out of the ring." Roshi then put his open palms towards Violet, before crying out. "Thunder Shock Surprise!"

Violet had no time to dodge before she was stuck by the lightning powered attack. She cried out in pain, as she began to squirm. Writhing in pain as Roshi continued his attack. Violet knew she had to escape the attack, so she fired off a small Ki Blast towards Roshi. The blast disoriented him and allowed Violet to escape and jump away from Roshi .

Violet began to calculate her next move as Roshi ran back towards her. In an instant he threw a flurry of drunk-like punches and kicks towards the younger woman. But none of which landed, Violet was too fast for Roshi and too smart to be confused by the style of the attacks. She was also making sure not to take any damage that could trap her in another attack like Roshi had already thrown at her. So she quickly found her opening, and managed to punch Roshi back.

The older fighter landed on his back, sliding for a moment before getting back on his feet. Roshi then chuckled to himself as he looked at Violet. He had already lost and he knew it.

Violet noticed this demeanor of his, "what's so funny?" She asked.

Roshi cleared his throat, "simple, I lost, I walked myself into a trap and I didn't even realize it."

Violet raised an eyebrow, "what're you talking about?"

"I thought if I eliminated you quickly with that Thunder Shock Surprise, that, that would be it. You would be done, but I was wrong. You managed to find an escape from that attack, something no one else has ever done other than Frieza. Then you showed me your speed, I know with your speed that I wouldn't be able to surprise you with another attack. I couldn't even do that with my Drunken Fist."

"So what do you plan to do?"

"Forfeit, clearly you are the better fighter. Frieza has trained you well. I am proud. He's defeated me before, and I wanted to make sure that boy could train another to defeat me. I am so glad I was right."

Violet nodded, "thank you for your compliments." She remarked as Roshi chuckled.

"You're welcome sweetheart." He replied before walking off of the arena and eliminating himself.

All of the fighters and the audience were surprised, even Frieza, he was surprised his master had not put up a better fight. But quickly determined it must've been for a reason. Roshi didn't give up fights, even one's against himself. So why then did he eliminate himself like that? It seemed completely out of character, unless, Roshi never entered the tournament to teach his students a lesson or win.

That's when it all clicked with Frieza, "that old bat," he thought, smiling to himself. Roshi entered the tournament to test his soldiers abilities. To make sure Frieza was still very powerful and training his students to be the same. He could tell Roshi was proud of his growth and left voluntarily, knowing his time as a fighter and a teacher was over. Frieza had now truly learned everything from his master, now, only Goku, Krillin, and Yamcha had anything to learn.

Frieza was his own man and master, able to teach scores of people. He would lead the next generation of fighters, and he would lead them good. Frieza was a natural born leader, anyone could see that, but he never thought he could be just as good as a master. That was a skill he had to learn, for all of his birth given gifts he still had so much to learn. But through this planet was the way to learn, and he would learn well.

He smiled to himself, his journey wasn't over, not by a long shot. But it was entering a new chapter, for as he watched Goku step out onto the ring. Moving out to fight Manwolf, he couldn't be more proud to have taught Goku everything he knew. Hoping that one day, Goku would not only reach his level, but surpass him like he had surpassed his master. Though it would certianly take awhile, while Goku's strength was growing, Frieza knew power wasn't everything when it came to fighting. Goku would need to learn other skills to be on Frieza's level.

But Frieza knew he could get there, it would just take time. But when Goku would finally get there, he wouldn't fight the change. He would embrace it, and be proud he trained this young boy from a far away planet.

Chapter 2: Tragedy

Notes:

Note that I decided to basically skim through the non-important parts of the tournament due to how spending time on them would take away from the story. Also know that I don't own Dragon Ball/Z/GT/Super/or Heroes. All characters belong to Akira Toriyama and Toei Animation. Nothing besides the plotline of this story is my own.

Chapter Text

The tournament continued on, with Goku easily defeating the fighter called Manwolf. After doing so, the next fight began, Tien VS Yamcha. Though the fight would play out as it did in many timelines. Despite the greater strength Yamcha possessed than he did in most other timelines. He still lost to Tien, though not as brutally. Tien was worried though, even the weakest of the Turtle School had pushed him in battle. This made him think, how strong were Krillin, and more importantly, Son Goku?

He would have to wait to find out, as Krillin moved on to fight Chiaotzu. But Chaiotzu was no match for Krillin, despite his psychic abilities that kept Krillin on his toes. Krillin's superior intelligence was able to outwit Chiaotzu in this fight. The next battle would start the next part of the tournament. It was Violet VS Goku. Student VS student.

Frieza was excited for this battle, he knew Violet should have no problem defeating Tien. So he was more excited for the battle between Violet and Goku, his former student. Frieza had trained many different soldiers by now, but Violet, Launch, and Blue were his main students at the Frieza Army. They were all around the same strength, but Frieza guessed that Violet was most likely the strongest. But he wasn't so sure yet.

The two stepped out onto the ring, Goku on the left and Violet on the right. The two bowed to each other before the announcer began the match. Goku rushed at Violet, at speeds she couldn't seem to perceive. She blocked the flurry of punches he threw. Before catching him off guard with a gut punch. Goku flew back, skidding on the tournament arena before smirking at Violet.

"Frieza taught you well," Goku smiled.

"I know, but I'm not sure if he taught you well though."

Goku chuckled, "well there's only one way to find out."

Violet smirked, "of course."

Violet then rushed towards Goku, throwing a punch which he dodged before throwing a roundhouse kick. The kick struck Goku across the face and sent him crashing into the ground. But Goku wasn't too injured, as he jumped back onto his feet before jumping up and throwing a punch at Violet. She dodged the blow to her head before being kicked across the cheek.

Violet staggered back before Goku fired a Ki Blast from his feet. Launching towards Violet and throwing a flurry of punches her way. She blocked most of them but was still hit by a few. She fell onto her side, as Goku landed back into the ring. Violet glared at Goku before rushing back at him. The two fought on even terms, whenever a punch or a kick was thrown by one. The other would counter with a kick or a punch of their own. Goku clearly had the speed advantage, but Violet had the reflexes. Though who held the strength advantage was up in the air.

Not even Frieza could tell, he assumed Goku was ahead of Violet in that category. But it appeared that they were dead even. So Frieza was unsure, deciding to see how fate would let the fight play out.

The two students continued fighting, using everything they could to defeat the other. The fight eventually became a beam show, with various Ki Blasts going off every now and again. But none of them could take the other out, injure them, yes, but defeat them, no. Violet and Goku were left on the arena, breathing intensely as they stared at each other. They were bruised and tired, with their clothes torn or burnt here and there.

"You ... you fight well, Son Goku." Smiled Violet.

"Yeah, y-you too, Frieza taught you well."

"I know, he taught you well too."

Goku smiled, "thank you, I appreciate that from a fellow student of his. My goal, no, my dream, is to surpass Frieza one day or at least get on his level. And considering how powerful you are, I know I have a long ways to go."

Violet raised an eyebrow, "do ... do you even think that's possible? To reach his level I mean."

"I ... don't really know," Goku lamented, "but ... I'll try until I can't try anymore, and you should too."

Violet looked at the ground before nodding, "I can try that, Son Goku."

"Good, because I would love to fight you again. No one has pushed me like this since Frieza, and win or lose, I want you to know that I've loved every minute of this fight."

Violet looked up at Goku, before smiling, "yeah, strangely enough, I'd like that."

"Well then, let's give this fight a proper send off." Goku said.

Goku and Violet then both cupped their hands at their sides. Charging up blue Ki energy in their hands. Frieza, Roshi, Krillin, and Yamcha instantly knew what this technique was, the Kamehameha.

"Ka ..." both fighters began as the energy ball began to grow bigger. "Me ... Ha ... Me ... Ha!" The two screamed out before firing their attacks.

The energy beams clashed with each other, lighting up the city block with the intensity of it. Goku and Violet gritted their teeth as they struggled to push the other back. They were both sliding along the arena floor ever so slightly. But neither could push the other off.

"Come on ..." thought Goku, "I can do this, no matter what."

Goku then focused his energy into one singular point. He breathed in, and then breathed out. Calmly doing so. Goku then raised his Ki as his muscles bulged. Goku screamed out as he pushed Violet back. Violet tried to hold the attack back. But it was fruitless, as Goku overpowered her. Sending her out of the ring, and winning the match. Goku was tired, but triumphant.

"It seems Goku has won that match, and thus will move onto the finals!" Cried the announcer as the crowd cheered.

Violet was hurt, but not too badly. She tried to stand, before she saw Goku holding a hand out to her. Violet smirked before taking it, standing up with Goku's help.

"That was a great fight, I'm glad you're a close friend of Frieza's. I'd love to get the chance to battle you again."

"Yeah, you too kid." Replied Violet.

...

The next fight was Krillin VS Tien, which Krillin knew the outcome before he even stepped into the ring. Despite putting up a good fight, Tien defeated him easily. Leading to Goku fighting Tien in the finals. This fight was a challenge for Goku, due to his weakened state. But ultimately he came out on top after a tough battle. Pushed to his absolute limit, he collapsed after winning the fight. But everyone who knew him were proud of him for his show.

Goku received the title of the World Martial Arts Champion as well as the Zeni from participating. Tien was furious that he lost to a child, and while Shen made sure he didn't hear the end of it. Chiaotzu consoled and congratulated his friend. Seeing this, Frieza decided to talk with Tien after the fight, as he wanted to congratulate him for putting up such a good bout with his student.

Frieza met Tien outside of the tournament grounds. Tien was with Chiaotzu and Shen, as Shen could be heard yelling at the younger fighter about his failure. But Frieza inturrupted the argument by calling out to them.

"What do you want?" Asked Shen, visibly annoyed.

Frieza began approaching them, "well, Tien, firstly I wanted to congratulate you on putting up such a good fight against my student, Son Goku."

Tien raised an eyebrow, "wait ... are you seriously here to congratulate me?"

"Yes, you deserve it. My student has been putting in hard work to catch up to me and although he still has a long way to go. You did manage to keep up with him, despite the fact he was superior to you. I respect and admire that, Tien."

"You ... you do?" Asked Tien before Shen cut him off.

"We don't need his sympathy, Tien, he's a mere freak who has no place talking about respect and fighting ability."

"But master," replied Tien as Frieza scowled.

"I don't want to hear it, we're leaving now!"

That was the end of the discussion, as Tien and Chiaotzu reluctantly went with their master. Frieza was beyond irritated, not because of Shen's comments, no, he had heard pleanty of those in his days on Earth. What had actually set him off was the fact that Tien seemingly had some good in his soul. As he was surprised by Frieza's comments of gratitude. Though Frieza didn't consider him a good person, he did want to show a fellow fighter respect. Especially one who could match his greatest student thus far.

"Hey Frieza!" Called the voice of Goku, causing Frieza to turn around. "Are you coming to dinner with us?"

Frieza smirked, "Yes, I'll be right there." He replied.

Frieza then hurried over to Goku and the two began walking to the nearby restaurant they were celebrating at. The two walked side by side on the sidewalk. Walking slowly so they could chat with one another.

"You were very good today, Goku." Smiled Frieza.

"You think so?" He asked back.

"Yes, I know so, you were great out there."

"But ... I'm nowhere near your level, right?" Goku asked, peering up at Frieza.

"Unfortunately, no, you are not." Sighed Frieza as Goku looked discouraged. "But don't worry my young friend, you'll find a way too. I just know it."

"Frieza ... how did you get so strong?"

Frieza was perplexed, he had never been asked such a question before. He then chuckled, "ho, ho, ho," he laughed. "I've never been asked that before. Well ... I was born with an incredibly high battle power. Much greater than any of the Earthlings or the Saiyans. But I wasn't too powerful, as I had to train to become this strong. I trained under Master Roshi, Master Korin, Mr. Popo, and Master Kami."

"Korin, Mr. Popo, and Kami?" Goku asked, raising an eyebrow. "I've never heard of them before."

"They're old, wise, and very strong martial artists from this world. Who have separated themselves from common human life. That is why they aren't well known."

Goku nodded, "oh, I see, do you think I can train with them and become as strong as you?" He asked, becoming very excited at the thought.

Frieza smiled, "I don't see why not." He then patted Goku on the back as the two neared the restaurant.

...

It was nearly night and the group was just finishing up their meals. The Zeni Goku had won was practically gone as he had burned through it while paying for his and his friends meals. That was when he remembered something.

"Oh shoot," he cried.

"What is it, Goku?" Asked Krillin beside him.

"I forgot my Power Pole and Dragon Ball back at the tournament grounds."

"I can get it for you Goku," said Frieza across from Goku.

"Nonsense, my lord, I can retrieve it for you." Said Violet beside him.

"No, no, no, guy's. Allow me." Replied Krillin as he hurried out of the restaurant before anyone could answer.

"Violet," said Frieza.

"Yes sir."

"Can you please follow Krillin to the tournament grounds."

"Of course sir," she replied before heading out after him.

"Why did you have her go after Krillin?" Asked Goku.

"Well ... to tell you the truth I'm getting some kind of bad feeling from it all. That's all."

"Oh okay," replied Goku as he continued to stuff his face with food.

"What kind of bad feeling are you feeling, Frieza?" Asked Roshi from the right side of Frieza.

"I'm ... not sure, just something ..." Frieza then froze.

"F-Frieza ... what is it?" Asked Roshi.

"Something ... something just happened to Krillin."

"What!?" Cried everyone in the restaurant before Goku instantly ran out of the restaurant, calling out Krillin's name.

"What do you mean something happened to him?" Asked Bulma, who sat near the edge of the table.

"His ... his Ki Signature, it ... it just stopped suddenly. I-I'm not sure, but I need to go, Launch, with me."

"Yes sir," nodded Launch as the two hurried out of the restaurant before Frieza picked her up and rocketed away to the tournament grounds.

Once they arrived, they saw a horrific sight. Violet was injured, with the tournament announcer sweating profusely. But worst of all, was the unmoving body of Krillin. Sitting in the center of the room.

"K-Krillin!" Cried Frieza as he ran to him. Frieza then crouched down to his level as did Launch, both looking him over. "Violet! What happened here?"

"I ... I don't know, some ... some demon thing came out of nowhere and took him out. I tried to fight him, but he was just too fast and strong for me before he left with the tournament list and Goku's Dragon Ball."

"Tournament list?" Asked Frieza, "doesn't that contain every name of everyone who competed in this tournament."

"Y-yes ... that's correct," replied the tournament announcer.

"Dammit," muttered Frieza, determining that whoever this was, was going to use the list as a hit list of sorts. "He also took the Dragon Ball, he must be collecting them for some reason."

Frieza then looked down to Krillin, asking Launch if there was anything they could do.

"No ... I-I'm sorry Frieza but ... he's dead."

Frieza gritted his teeth and tried to hold back his tears. "No, we can't just let him die like this." Frieza then put a hand over Krillin's body and began pumping Ki into his body. Similarly to a defibrillator.

"What are you doing?" Asked Launch.

"Trying to restart his heart, it might bring him back."

"Frieza, his skull is broken, he's ... he's gone." Launch said, tears falling from her eyes.

Frieza stopped what he was doing, knowing Launch was right and that Krillin was already long dead before they got there.

"F-Frieza I-I'm ... I'm sorry," said Violet as she approached Frieza and Launch.

"It's okay, General, there's nothing you could've done."

"Krillin!" Screamed the voice of Goku as Frieza, Launch, Violet, and the tournament announcer turned his way.

Goku raced towards Krillin's body, begging him to wake up. Frieza put a hand to Goku's shoulder as Goku turned to look at him. Tears streaming down his cheeks.

"Goku ... I'm ... I'm so sorry. He was dead before we got here."

"No ... we can't just ..."

But Goku never finished his sentence as Frieza embraced him in a tear filled hug. With Frieza apologizing for Krillin's death, as he felt guilty for letting him go instead of going to get Goku's objects himself. That was when the rest of the group arrived, they were in shock upon seeing Krillin dead on the floor. But Roshi was more worried, as he noticed a nearby paper with a symbol on it.

"No ... it ... it can't be." He said, picking the paper up and staring at it in fear.

"What? What is it?" Asked Frieza.

"The Demon King, King Piccolo. He ... he has returned."

"What?" Cried Frieza as a single bead of sweat dripped from his forehead.

"King ... King Piccolo? Asked Launch, "who is that?"

"He's before your time, he was an evil being that me, my teacher Master Mutaito, and Shen defeated a long time ago. But now he's back and with his demon army he will ravage this world."

"Not if we can stop him!" Cried Frieza, "we must act now or he'll win, father."

Roshi nodded, "yes, I think I'm too old to fight him, but you two aren't. You two must go defeat King Piccolo."

"Um, what about me?" Asked Violet as she pointed to herself, "I can fight."

"Yes, and so can I." Added Launch.

"Yes, I know ladies," replied Frieza as the two turned to him.

"But I have a special job for both of you, Violet, you will come with us to train with Master Korin. Launch, you will head back to the Red Ribbon Base and have Staff Officer Blue organize the troops in case they have to fight King Piccolo."

Launch and Violet saluted, "yes sir," they both replied before Launch began heading for the ship they took to arrive at the tournament.

"So ... will this Master Korin make me strong enough to avenge Krillin?" Asked Goku as he and Frieza looked at each other.

"Yes, but considering your growth we might have to use Kami's training to make sure the job is done right."

Goku nodded, "whatever will avenge Krillin."

"Wait a minute," Bulma piped up.

"What is it?" Asked Launch.

"I know its a long shot, but what if the Dragon Balls can revive Krillin?"

The group stopped and stared at Bulma before Frieza smirked. "Bulma you are a genius," he said as Bulma brushed her hair aside.

"Do you think it'll work?" Asked Goku.

"Only one way to find out," replied Frieza, "but first, let's head to Korins tower." Goku and Violet nodded confidently as Frieza wrapped his arms around them before taking off into the sky.

...

Meanwhile, Blue was sitting on Frieza's throne. Bored out of his mind as he sat around, he barely had any orders to dish out to the troops. So all he had done was waste time by sitting around.

"My goodness," he said to himself. "Will Frieza ever return? It's been hours."

Suddenly the base alarm began to ring, Blue was instantly on alert before rushing out of the throne room. He met with a running soldier, asking him what the situation was.

"A ship has appeared over the base sir, and it's not one of ours."

"Observe it and send a team to investigate."

"Of course, sir," saluted the soldier before he hurried away.

Blue was now intrigued, as he wanted to catch a glimpse of this mystery ship hovering over the base.

...

On the ship, was Oolong, Mai, and Shu. But they weren't alone, as a lime green skinned creature was standing besides a taller and older creature. It was King Piccolo, and his son Piano. Piccolo sat on a throne as Piano stood next to him, with Oolong, Shu, and Mai cowering in fear at Piccolo's presence.

"Are you sure there is a Dragon Ball here?" Asked Piccolo to his son.

"Of course, my lord, the computers don't lie."

"Good, I would've rather had Tambourine do this job. But if its one step closer to my youth, I'll take it." Smirked Piccolo as a Frieza Army ship began hovering near Piccolo's ship.

Subsequently, Piccolo, Piano, Oolong, Mai, and Shu headed outside to the balcony of the ship. Watching the army hovercraft closely before Piccolo extended a hand out and blasted the ship into bits. Killing everyone on board.

Blue and everyone else, who was outside by now, looked on in horror at the sight. Blue then gritted his teeth and turned to Captain Yellow.

"Captain!" Blue cried, "order the troops to attack!"

"Y-yes sir," replied Captain Yellow as he did just that.

Blue then turned around, only to be met face to face with King Piccolo. Blue began to sweat as nobody dared attack Piccolo.

"So ... are you in charge here?" Smirked Piccolo.

"Um ... y-yes ... for the time being."

In an instant, Piccolo punched a hole through Blue's chest. Blood sprayed from his mouth and back as Piccolo retracted his arm, wiping the blood from it.

"Well you were right about one thing, it was for the time being." Piccolo smirked coldly as Blue crumpled face first to the ground, dead, blood pooling from his agape mouth.

"Now then, is there anyone else who wants to battle against me for control of this army?" Asked Piccolo as Piano descended towards him from the ship. The whole army remained silent, knowing they were no match for Piccolo. "Good, now who is the highest ranked officer here?"

"I-I am ..." replied Captain Yellow.

"Well then, what is your name?"

"C-Captain Yellow, sir," replied Yellow.

"Well then, Captain, I want you to send out some troops to look for the Dragon Balls. Now!"

"Y-yes sir!" Cried Yellow as he followed Piccolo's orders to the letter.

"Sir, why, if I may ask, did you take over this worthless army?" Asked Piano.

"Simple, I need more man power. I'm not strong enough to make a whole new demon army so this shall do for now. I was going to take over that King Furry's army, but this will do just as well."

"I see," replied Piano, "so what shall we do now?"

"Wait for Tambourine to return, and then get my youth back." Cried Piccolo as he chuckled coldly to himself.

Chapter Text

By now, Frieza, Goku, and Violet had arrived at Korin's tower. With Frieza's flight, the trio reached the top in no time. Korin was surprised to see Frieza, but nonetheless happy too.

"My, my, Frieza. It's been awhile since we last saw each other." Korin bowed, "how are you my boy?"

"Not very good, Master." Replied Frieza as he bowed in respect.

"This ... is Master Korin?" Asked Violet.

"Yes, and who might you be?" Asked Korin.

"I am Violet, and this is Son Goku." She replied, "we are students of Emperor Frieza here."

"Emperor Frieza?" Asked Korin as he raised an eyebrow.

Frieza chuckled nervously, "a lot has happened since we last met, Master." Frieza's face then went stern, "but there isn't time to talk about it right now. As we have a major problem right now."

"What is it?" Asked Korin.

"King Piccolo has returned."

Korin froze, "no ... you can't be serious."

"I unfortunately am, Master. He has already killed a friend of ours, and I want my students to be strong enough to fight him."

"But aren't you strong enough yet?" Asked Korin.

"Possibly, but I would still like the back-up."

"Right, I understand. Well then, let's begin." Nodded Korin as Goku and Violet bowed before him.

...

Meanwhile, Roshi took Turtle and Bulma to Kame House in order to protect them from King Piccolo's wrath. Once they were settled, Roshi stared outside of his home's window. Wondering how Frieza's training was coming along. He was hoping, praying even, that Frieza would be enough to take out Piccolo. He was sure of it, he did train the boy well after all. But he didn't know for sure.

"Roshi!" Cried the voice of Turtle, "come quickly!"

"Huh?" Asked Roshi as he turned around, "what's up?"

"Come look on the TV," replied Turtle as he and Bulma sat in front of the TV. With Roshi standing behind them and watching intently.

On the TV was a news reporter, standing in front of King Fury's palace while explosions were going off in the distance. "It seems the former Red Ribbon Army, renamed the Frieza Army by its commander, Frieza. Has begun attacking the king's palace. Breaking the treaty between these two. What has caused this change in relations, and who will win the battle as soldiers on both sides take massive casualties."

"Why would that jerk do such a thing? It doesn't make sense." Said Bulma.

"Simple, someone else must've taken over Frieza's army." Replied Roshi.

Turtle and Bulma turned back to look at Roshi. "A-are you sure?" Asked Bulma.

"Yes, I'm positive. Whether Frieza has been killed or not, I'm not sure. But whatever has happened, it cannot be good."

...

Launch was currently heading back to the Frieza Army HQ. She was worried, General Blue wasn't answering her calls. Something was wrong, and she knew it. Could King Piccolo have already come to the army and taken it over? If that was the case, was Frieza dead? She didn't know, but the thought lingered in her head up until she landed on the helipad of the base.

Once she cut the ships engine and exited, she was surrounded by a plethora of soldiers. Aiming their guns at her. Launch was nervous, before sneezing, turning into her blonde form. Now, Launch was pissed.

"What the hell are you guys doing!? I'm your superior!" Cried Launch.

"Not anymore you're not, well ... as long as you are a traitor of the Demon Clan." Sneered a deep voice before the soldiers moved apart to let King Piccolo and Piano through.

"You ... you are King Piccolo, aren't you?"

"Correct," smirked Piccolo, "and who might you be?"

"Launch, captain within the Frieza Army."

"Ah, a captain, huh? You must be strong, but it won't matter much. I may be old but even I could kill you. I would suggest you surrender, Miss."

"Tch, as if, I'm loyal to Frieza ya twit!" Launch cried.

"So be it," replied Piccolo, "attack her!" The soldiers hesitated, not wanting to hurt their superior. Piccolo noticed this, and began to get angry. "I said attack her!"

But the soldiers didn't have time to, as Launch blitzed past them and struck Piccolo across the face. Piccolo was then launched onto the roof of a nearby building. He was stunned as Launch fired a yellow Ki Blast at him. The blast destroyed the building, but Piccolo managed to evade it's destruction. Launch was then smacked down to the ground by an elbow to the back of the neck. Launch quickly recovered, before dodging a kick from Piccolo that destroyed the ground below his foot.

"Die!" Cried Piccolo before firing a Mouth Beam at Launch.

Launch did a backflip, able to dodge the attack, but only barely. She landed back onto her feet as Piccolo came charging at her. The two began to trade blows, with Launch seeming to have the edge. Able to push Piccolo back. Launch then fired a single yellow Ki Blast at Piccolo. Crying out for him to die.

Piccolo blocked the attack, but it still pushed him back on the sidewalk. Piccolo gritted his teeth, unable to hold the attack anymore. He believed that this was it, that he was going to die. Before a figure kicked Launch away. Piccolo then shoved the blast away. Before he smirked upon seeing Cymbal. He had birthed Cymbal before Launch had arrived.

"Good work, my son!" Cried Piccolo happily as Launched recovered. "Now let's kill this witch!"

"Yes, Father." Replied Cymbal before the two rushed over to Launch.

Launch groaned before she began to fight them both off. Individually, she most likely could've defeated them. Cymbal was weaker than his father after all, and Piccolo was old. Meaning if their fight went on longer Launch knew she could've defeated him. But alas, the two combined was able to close the gap. As even though Launch was very strong for the average human. She was not yet strong enough to take out Piccolo and Cymbal together.

Ultimately ending the fight when Launch was bruised and bloody on the ground. While Piccolo and Cymbal were in the same state. That was when Tambourine arrived. Flying down before his father and brother. Bowing before them both.

"Tambourine, good to see you, did you complete your missions?"

"Yes, Father. I have killed all of the fighters you wanted dead and retrieved the Dragon Balls for your use."

"Good work," smiled Piccolo as Launch tried to use her remaining strength to pick herself up and finish Piccolo off.

But Piccolo, Cymbal, and Tambourine were already summoning Shenron before her. The mighty dragon appeared in a flash of golden light which darkened the sky. Roaring loudly before addressing himself and asking what they wanted to wish for.

"I want eternal youth!" Cried Piccolo.

"No!" Launch cried, before firing a yellow Ki Blast.

But due to how disoriented she was, the blast missed its intended target of King Piccolo. Instead, hitting Cymbal and killing him instantly. Leaving him as a burnt corpse on the ground. But nonetheless, Piccolo's wish was granted. His youth was restored, even though he was still badly hurt. His power grew, and so did his ego as Tambourine smirked coldly along with him. Piccolo then fired a Mouth Beam at Shenron, easily destroying him and causing the Dragon Balls to turn to stone. Piccolo then turned to Launch.

"You caused me so much trouble." Said Piccolo as he and Tambourine glared at Launch, "but now that will end." He extended a hand out to her, "oh, and your friends will be joining you as well very soon."

"No!" Screamed Launch as she was blasted back by a Mouth Beam from Piccolo.

She landed on the ground, dead, with her skin and clothes burnt. Piccolo laughed coldly before flying back to his troops with Tambourine.

...

At Korin's Tower, everyone there noticed the sky darken before it quickly returned to normal. Signaling to everyone but Violet that the Dragon Balls had been used.

"Damn, Piccolo must've gotten his grimy hands on the Dragon Balls." Said Frieza.

"Kami's Dragon Balls?" Asked Korin as Frieza nodded.

"We need to leave now, I fear something bad has happened." Frieza growled.

"But our training isn't complete, my lord." Said Violet.

"I know, but we have to fight him now. We can finish this later."

Korin nodded, "that's fine by me. So what are you all waiting for? Go!"

"Right," nodded Frieza before he flew off of the tower with Goku and Violet being carried by him.

He raced across the Earth, hurrying over to where he could sense a heightened battle power. Frieza determined that must've been Piccolo, and even if it wasn't he had to see who it was. Maybe they could assist the three in fighting Piccolo.

...

The group arrived in no time, finding themselves at the Frieza Army HQ. Frieza was now even more worried, wondering if King Piccolo took over his army and killed Launch. Since he did send her there beforehand. The trio landed onto the ground, with Frieza letting Violet and Goku off. Before noticing the ship Launch had left the group in. This caused Frieza's stomach to drop, knowing that Launch was indeed there at the base.

"Launch is here, she might be in trouble." Said Frieza worriedly.

"Captain Launch? She's here?" Asked Violet.

"Yes, she is." Replied Frieza, "We have to hurry and find her quickly."

"Oh look who we have here," sneered a voice.

The group turned around to see a fully healed Tambourine standing behind them, surrounded by a group of soldiers.

"What are you lot doing!?" Cried Frieza, ignoring Tambourine and referring to the soldiers. "You dare attack your emperor!?"

But Violet was more focused on Tambourine, angered by his presence, something Goku took notice of.

"What's wrong, Violet?" He asked as Frieza noticed this anger too.

"That is the one who killed Krillin, that winged monster right there." Violet said, pointing to Tambourine.

Goku and Frieza were instantly angered at the sight of the demon. Before hearing a laugh behind them, turning around and seeing King Piccolo, now fully healed, with his arms crossed, and surrounded by his new army.

"So, are you King Piccolo?" Asked Frieza.

"I am, and you must be this so called emperor I've heard about."

"That I am," replied Frieza as he curled his hands into fists. "You're gonna pay for taking over my army like this."

"Oh really? I seem to remember some girl was fighting me for a similar reason."

Frieza froze, "what did you do to her?" Asked Frieza angrily.

"Why I killed her of course, can't have traitors like her around."

Frieza's anger began to boil, Violet tried to calm him down. So he could keep a level head, but it was useless. As Frieza cried out in anger. A purple aura appearing around him  which blew Violet and Goku back. He glared at Piccolo who looked on in fear.

"You'll pay for this! I swear to you, you've disrespected me enough today!" Roared Frieza as he rushed at Piccolo. With Piccolo realizing that he had made a mistake with fighting Frieza.

Chapter Text

Frieza then decked Piccolo across the face, sending him flying backwards for miles. With him smashing through a handful of buildings before he crashed onto the dirt outside of the base. The blow nearly killing him and even almost knocking him out. But due to his regeneration, he was able to prevent that. But before Piccolo could stand, Frieza rushed in and smashed his fist through Piccolo's chest. Causing him to spit out blood from his mouth as Frieza threw Piccolo to the side. Believing him to be dead.

But suddenly, Piccolo coughed. Frieza couldn't believe that Piccolo had survived such a blow. But then his chest regenerated, allowing Frieza to figure out he had the ability to heal himself. To a far greater degree than humans. Unfortunately for Piccolo, this was less of a miracle and more of a curse. Because, Frieza now knew he could bring him to near death and make him suffer. For everything he had done to him.

Frieza fired a flurry of Death Beams, the beams piercing through Piccolo's limbs. Causing him to fall onto his back in pain. Both his body and his ego had been hurt. He had thought Frieza was a nobody, a weak commander similarly to his minions. But he was beyond wrong, Frieza was much stronger than Piccolo could have ever imagined. He had never really been tested in his life, the only person to defeat him did so with a technique, not with his raw power.

Piccolo knew he could do nothing to Frieza, however he didn't want to admit that to himself. It was as if a part of him would not go down without a fight. As soon as he regenerated, Piccolo rushed towards Frieza. Throwing a punch at Frieza's chest, which broke his hand on impact. Piccolo quickly pulled his hand back while screaming in pain. His broken hand flopped around as if it were jello.

Piccolo then gritted his teeth at the stern and angry Frieza, "die!" He cried, before firing a Mouth Beam point blank at Frieza.

But the attack simply passed through Frieza, as if it was a gust of wind. Piccolo backed away in fear, before finding his hand had regenerated. He balled it into a fist before firing a yellow Ki Blast at Frieza. But Frieza merely stopped it mid air, holding it place as if it were a baseball. Frieza then threw it up into the sky. With it quickly leaving the planet.

"What ... what are you!?" Cried Piccolo.

"Your end!" Replied Frieza before firing a double Compressed Air Blast.

The attack not only damaged Piccolo but sent him flying backwards. He flew through dozens of tree's, knocking them over, before coming to a stop in the dirt. He was now crippled, unable to move due to the damage to his body. But Frieza was not done yet, he picked him up by the collar. Even though Frieza was shorter than Piccolo, he still made the demon look into his eyes.

"You will die today, Piccolo. But it won't be quick, it will be slow and painful. Trust me, you'll remember the day you messed with me!"

...

Back in the base, Violet and Goku engaged with Tambourine. The Frieza Army soldiers were standing on the sidelines, not wanting to harm their comrades. The two were easily able to knock Tambourine around. The mutant-Namekian couldn't believe it, he was being not only pushed in battle but being beaten around like it was nothing. He hated this, only his father, the great King Piccolo should be above him. Not these mere humans.

But his beliefs wouldn't help him in this battle, as the two easily knocked him to the ground as they stood over him. They glared, angry at the actions he had done to so many people, including them. Tambourine looked up at them, blood running down his head and lip. Bruises covered his body, as he tried to move but found himself unable to.

"No ... no! I won't let it end this way!" Tambourine screamed.

"Shut up, you deserve this tenfold." Replied Violet, "let's make sure we eradicate him for good, Goku." Said Violet.

Goku nodded, "agreed."

The two then took a fighting stance, the stance of the Kamehameha. The two charged a combined attack in their hands as the soldiers fled the area. The blue energy ball continued to build in power. Tambourine tried to use his regeneration to heal and flee from them. But he wasn't quick enough, as the two fired the attack and eradicated him for good.

...

Frieza noticed the rise in power and the Kamehameha from a distance. He had continued to push King Piccolo to near death before letting him regenerate countless times. But Frieza wasn't close to being done yet. Instead, he continued to batter him into the dirt before smirking.

"It seems your bastard son has been killed."

"What!?" Cried Piccolo, bruised, bloody, and with his left eye forced shut.

"Yes, and soon you will join him. But I'm not done yet."

"P-please ... j-just stop already!" Cried Piccolo.

"Ho, ho, ho," laughed Frieza, "after all of the lives you have taken, without giving them mercy. You want me to do the same? How pathetic."

"Please, just grant me death or freedom! I-I promise I won't come for your or your remaining friends anymore if you do."

Frieza spat onto the dirt, "I don't care, you deserve every minute of this."

"Frieza!" Cried a young voice Frieza knew all too well.

Frieza looked over and saw Goku running over towards him. Frieza smiled, seeing his best friend alive and well.

"Goku!" He cried happily, before blasting Piccolo back with a Compressed Air Blast.

Frieza and Goku then met, with Frieza picking Goku up and embracing him in a hug. Frieza then set Goku down. Asking him how everything had went and where General Violet was.

"Oh she's fine, she's just getting the army back together right now. But ... what are you doing?" Asked Goku.

Frieza's face turned stern before he turned away from Goku, "making sure Piccolo suffers for what he did. So tell Violet I'll be back soon, I'm almost done."

"No! I won't!" Cried Goku.

Frieza raised an eyebrow, "what?" Asked Frieza as he turned to Goku.

"You're hurting this guy bad, he's super weak when compared to you. He's already beaten, why can't you just kill him and end the battle?"

"I can't kill him, Goku." Frieza replied.

"What? Why not?" Goku asked, stunned.

"Tch, you don't get it because you don't know of his relationship with Kami."

"Kami? What does he have to do with this?"

"Simple, both of them were one being a long time ago. But now they're two different beings, and if one dies, the other dies too." Goku now understood, but he still did not want Frieza to make Piccolo suffer so much. He hated Piccolo, but he didn't think it was their place to draw this out so much. Telling Frieza as such. "But you don't get it, if I can't kill him he can't go anywhere and suffer forever. I need to keep making him suffer."

"Is there another reason you're doing this, huh, Frieza?"

"What other reason is that?"

"How about your brother?" Frieza paused, this letting Goku know he was right. "It is, isn't it?"

Frieza groaned before firing a purple Ki Blast which turned dozens upon dozens of tree's to dust. "Yes, yes alright!" Frieza cried, "I fear my brother and his power, he nearly killed me and left me crippled for a long time and I'm afraid he'll come to this planet and devastate it and kill all of you!"

"But sh-shouldn't you be stronger than him?" Asked Goku nervously due to Frieza's yelling scaring him.

Frieza paused, calming himself down as he realized he was scaring Goku. "Yes, in theory. But my brother surpassed my father, someone who was stronger than me at the time. If he has kept training this entire time. He could be able to defeat me. That ... that's what worries me, Goku."

"It's okay, Frieza. We'll find a way to beat him. To get stronger to defeat him."

"You don't know him, Goku. You don't know what he's capable of. I may have some Earth army. But he has soldiers from countless different galaxies. Almost all of whom could destroy this planet on their own. I don't know if simple training like that would be enough."

"But instead of saying what if, why don't we try? I've never doubted my strength and look how far I've grown." Frieza nodded, sweating a little, "we can do this Frieza. Trust me. Even if we can't, at least we'll give it our all." Goku smirked confidently.

Frieza couldn't help but smile, "you're right Goku, you're always right it seems. After this, we'll train on Kami's Lookout and grow even more powerful than before. I promise."

"Yeah!" Goku cried happily before pumping his fist into the air. He then calmed down, "but wait, what should we do about Piccolo? If ... we can't kill him that is."

"I don't know, Goku." Replied Frieza.

Suddenly, a voice spoke into Frieza's head. "Frieza, Frieza can you hear me?"

"Kami?" Asked Frieza, "what do you need?" He asked respectively.

"Please don't hesitate to kill Piccolo, please, you must kill him for the sake of the Earth."

"But ... but you'll die, Master. I can't let that happen to you."

"Please, Frieza, it'll be alright. Trust me."

Frieza nodded somberly, "I understand." Frieza replied.

Frieza and Goku then headed over to Piccolo, who had now fully healed himself.

Piccolo smirked, "you here to torture me more?"

"No, I'm not. I'm here to get rid of you forever." Frieza replied before instantly blasting Piccolo to dust with a simple purple Ki Blast. Frieza then looked down at the ground, "I'm sorry, Master. I'm sorry you had to die."

"No, I didn't die Frieza." Replied Kami, surprising Frieza.

"What? You're alive?"

"Yes, I am."

"But ... but how?" Asked Frieza.

"King Piccolo spat out an egg before you killed him. This is his reincarnation, he is now a new being. Letting me to continue to live."

Frieza was stunned, "I-I can't believe it. Where ... where's the egg?"

"It's a few miles away from you. Why?"

"Because, I want to take it with me."

"You what!?" Cried Kami, "why would you want to do that?"

"Think about it, we should make sure this new being is formed in the right way. So he's not a literal copy of King Piccolo. I mean, why would we just let him roam around on his own?"

"But ... but who would raise him? I'm busy being the Guardian of Earth. I don't have the time."

"Simple, I will."

"You!?" Kami cried, nearly fainting at the thought.

"Yes, I'll raise him to make sure he's a good person like you. That way the Earth can continue to be safe. Even if he doesn't turn, I'll still be stronger than him. So there's nothing to really worry about."

Kami slapped his face, before sighing. "I'll tell you the truth, I don't like it, Frieza. But ... I trust you, so I'll give you the chance to do this. But if you fail, it'll be your responsibility. Understand?"

"Yes, Master. I understand."

Kami then stopped talking with Frieza, before Goku asked him what he was talking about. It took a few minutes for Frieza to explain to Goku his plan. He not only didn't like it, but didn't understand it. Asking him why he would ever want to raise the reborn Piccolo, even after all he had done.

"Because," Frieza said, as the two arrived at the egg's location. "he is a new being. Nothing like his father other than being his blood. Thus, his father's sins do not carry over to him. At least in my mind. Besides, you always talk of me being more of a good guy and I feel this would be a good thing to do for the planet."

"Well ... if you feel like you could do it, then ... I trust you." Replied Goku as Frieza nodded, smiling.

Suddenly Frieza was struck across the face by a kick. The attack didn't hurt Frieza in the least, but it certainly surprised him. Frieza then saw the perpetrator. It was a small green skinned boy. It was a child version of Piccolo. Wearing a purple and blue shirt with the Demon Clan symbol on the front.

"So, this must be the reborn Piccolo." Commented Frieza.

"I'll kill you! You killed my father!" Cried the reborn Piccolo, before he threw a punch at Frieza.

Frieza easily grabbed the punch, to ensure the reborn Piccolo's hand didn't break. Piccolo tried to break free as Frieza picked the young boy up and held him up to his eyes.

"Let me tell you this right now, you cannot kill me. Hell, you can't even hurt me right now. But I am not going to hurt you."

"But ... but you killed my father!"

"I may have, but he was evil. Thus he deserved to die. Evil beings deserve death in my eyes."

The young Piccolo smirked, "then why don't you kill me hippie! Because I'm evil like my father."

Frieza chuckled, "ho, ho, ho. You are a funny one."

"What? You doubt me? I'll destroy this world and kill everyone you know!" Piccolo cried before Frieza threw him to the ground.

"Listen to me, you better watch your mouth when it comes to killing. You won't kill any innocent people, or else."

"Or ... or else what?" Asked Piccolo, trying to stand back up.

"You don't want to know," Frieza glared, striking fear in the young Namekien's soul.

"O-okay ..." Piccolo mumbled.

"Now, if you're good then I won't have to punish you. But you are going to be a good person like me, Goku, Kami, and all of my other friends and family. I'll also train you if you are a good person too. Actually, me and Goku were going to go train at Kami's Lookout. You will tag along with us until we reach there. Understand?"

"Y-yes ... sir."

"Don't call me sir, you are not one of my soldiers."

"Then ... what am I supposed to call you?" Piccolo asked nervously.

"Mhm ... just call me Frieza or master since I will be teaching you everything you need to know."

Piccolo looked surprised, "o-okay then ... F-Frieza."

"Good, now then, let's go get the Dragon Balls and revive all of those who have died."

Suddenly a voice appeared in Frieza's head. It was Kami, telling him that Shenron was dead. Thus the Dragon Balls were gone forever.

"Can't you just remake Shenron or revive him? You are his creator after all."

"Well ... yeah, I suppose I could do that. I'll get on that right away and then give you the Dragon Balls so you can revive those killed by Piccolo."

"Good, thank you my master."

...

Many hours passed, in that time Kami had Mr. Popo revive Shenron. Before Kami headed down to Earth to give Frieza the Dragon Balls. Frieza then summoned Sheron, before wishing for everyone killed by King Piccolo and his children to be revived. Shenron granted the wish, but only to people killed within the year. This was fine by Frieza and Goku. Thus they met back with General Blue before Frieza gave a tearful hug to Launch.

King Furry's soldiers were also revived, and peace was returned to both his army and Frieza's. Frieza then promoted Violet to staff officer, while demoting Blue to general. After Blue told him about how he didn't like his high ranking position. He also promoted Launch to general. Wanting to keep her close by, and in honor of her sacrifice for his army. Finally, Frieza then left Violet in charge of his army while he took Goku and Piccolo to Kami's Lookout. Greeting both Kami and Mr. Popo warmly once he arrived. The two were petrified to see the young Piccolo Jr, now wearing a purple Gi with a blue wrap around his waist.

"What ... what is he doing here?" Asked Mr. Popo.

Kami gulped, "he is here to train with Frieza and his friend here."

"Yes, oh and this is Goku by the way." Replied Frieza, gesturing to the small boy in the orange Gi next to him.

"Well it is nice to meet you, Goku." Smiled Kami.

"You as well, if you trained Frieza here then you must be strong." Goku said confidently.

"Yes, I am. You don't become Guardian of Earth without having the strength to back it up." Smiled Kami.

"So where will you three be training?" Asked Mr. Popo.

"Simple, the Hyperbolic Time Chamber."

"What!?" Cried Kami and Popo.

"What's that?" Asked Goku.

"It is a room where a day outside is a year inside." Replied Frieza.

"Whoa ... really?" Asked Goku.

"Yes, but the conditions inside are very dangerous. They were even difficult for you, Frieza." Noted Mr. Popo.

"They were?" Asked Goku as Piccolo perked up.

"But that was many years ago, Master Kami. I'm sure I can handle them now. Just give us a chance."

Kami sighed, "you're going to be the death of me Frieza, if you keep putting stress on an old man like me."

Frieza chuckled, "sorry, I just want to push myself and these two very hard. As ... I haven't been training as hard as I used to, mostly because I've been training others."

"So ... this is an excuse not to get lazy, isn't it?"

"Correct," nodded Frieza.

"Well then, you three may enter. Popo, show them to the chamber."

"Of course, Kami." Bowed Popo before he led the trio to the wooden doors of the chamber. "Now, if you ever need to leave just come to the door and I'll be waiting outside for you three." Said Popo.

"Right, thank you, Popo." Smiled Frieza before Popo opened the door as Frieza led Goku and Piccolo inside.

Once inside, the three instantly felt the rough gravity and temperature changes of the dimension as the door closed behind them. Frieza managed to sustain himself inside of the chamber, but Goku and Piccolo were having much trouble. Their small and weaker bodies struggling to even move within the chamber.

"Are you two going to be alright?" Asked Frieza.

"Y-yeah," replied Piccolo, "just fine!"

"Goku?"

"Yes, Frieza. I'll be fine."

"Good, now we'll start off easy so you two can get adjusted to the conditions of this dimension."

Goku nodded as Piccolo sighed, amazed at the vast empty void of the chamber.

"What ... is this place exactly? It looks like it could go on forever." Piccolo commented.

"I'm ... not sure, I've never seen anything like it before. But we don't have time to worry about that, we have to train and surpass our limits. I know Goku here has been gunning to surpass me for awhile, isn't that right?"

"Of course, Frieza. I've been wanting to get on your level for awhile."

Frieza nodded, "then we'll work on that."

Frieza then cried out, a purple aura forming around him as his body began to glow and morph. Goku and Piccolo were surprised to see this, as the aura dissipated and Frieza finished transforming. There he stood, in a form Goku hadn't seen in a long while. It was Frieza's most restricted state. A state of power he rarely used, but nonetheless thought was appropriate for this occasion.

"Did ... did you just ... change appearance?" Asked Piccolo in amazement.

"Yes, it is an ability original to my race. I use it to considerably lower my battle power into chunks. This right here is my weakest state of power. This will be key in determining what your ceilings of battle power will be. If you can surpass this form, then I will move up to my Second Transformed State. Understand?"

"Yes!" Cried both Goku and Piccolo.

"Good, now then, let's begin." Smiled Frieza as the three began their long and grueling training.

Chapter Text

Three years had passed since Frieza went off to train Goku and Piccolo. General Violet had been commanding Frieza's army in that time. Meeting with him every now and again, but she never saw Goku or Piccolo, but she could tell Frieza was growing in power. His mere presence was far above her and everyone else on Earth. This made her wonder how powerful Goku and Piccolo had become.

But, on this day, she would find out. As Frieza, Piccolo, and Goku exited the time chamber on the lookout for the second time during their training. As they exited, Kami and Mr. Popo witnessed them leave. Their power was incredible for one, easily far surpassing everyone on Earth. Goku and Piccolo were now also older, appearing as adults like Frieza. Which meant they were also taller than Frieza as he was now in his final form. A fact that bothered him to no end.

Their clothes were also mostly destroyed and their bodies were bruised. But this didn't seem to bother them. They looked like true warriors, who were finally tapping into their true potential. But both guardians knew that they still had plenty more within them.

"F-Frieza ... have you completed their training?" Asked Kami.

"Yes, Kami." Frieza replied as he stepped forwards and turned towards the two. "I have decided to graduate Goku as my student, but Piccolo here, could use some more work. He is still young and has much more left to learn. But he is a fine student right now. Same with Goku here."

Goku smiled proudly while putting his hands on his hips, as Piccolo crossed his arms and nodded.

"I appreciate that, Frieza." Chuckled Goku as he patted Frieza on the back.

"So, since you are in your final form. Does that mean they have surpassed you in that state?" Asked Popo.

"No, they're not even close yet. But they have surpassed my First and Second Transformed States. As well as close to surpassing my Third Transformed State. But my base power has grown by a large margin. But in time I feel they both will eventually get to my level."

"So then, what are you three going to do now?" Asked Kami.

"I hear there is going to be a World Martial Arts Tournament today, and I feel we should enter." Frieza replied.

"But, you three are so much stronger than everyone there. It's not going to be much of a fight." Kami chuckled.

Frieza smirked, "I am aware, but, I feel that since all three of us are going to enter it should be somewhat worth our time."

Kami smiled back, "then go my student, and have fun."

"Thank you, Master." Replied Frieza, "hey, Piccolo. Can you make us some new clothes?"

"Yes, Master." Replied Piccolo, before he stuck a hand out and blasted the yellow beam at both Frieza and Goku before himself. Giving himself new purple clothes and weighted clothing, a new orange Gi for Goku, and a white and purple Gi for Frieza.

"Thank you, Piccolo. Now then let's head out." Frieza replied as he, Piccolo, and Goku flew off of the lookout and headed down to Earth.

...

On Earth, Krillin, Bulma, Roshi, Turtle, and Launch arrived at the World Martial Arts Tournament grounds. Ready to enter into the tournament grounds. Krillin being the only one who was going to enter. Tien and Chiaotzu were already entered into the tournament. Which worried Krillin as he wasn't sure if he could fight them. That was when three figures flew down to the ground in front of the group. It was Frieza and Goku, with Piccolo landing behind a tree per Frieza's instructions.

The group was surprised, before happily hugging the both of them. Commenting about how it had been a long time since they had seen each other.

"Wow, you two have really grown." Said Roshi.

"Yeah, Frieza's training really helped us both out." Smiled Goku as he rubbed the back of his head.

"I have also grown myself and undertaken a new student of mine." Frieza added.

"Oh, really? Who did you train?" Asked Krillin.

Frieza then signaled for Piccolo to come out. Once he did, the group gasped upon seeing him.

"You!" Cried Krillin as he charged at Piccolo and threw a punch at him.

But Piccolo easily grabbed his fist. Before pushing Krillin back onto the ground. Krillin was in shock as Frieza approached the two and broke them up.

"Wait! It's okay, Krillin. He's a good guy now." Cried Frieza.

"Piccolo? A good guy?" Asked Roshi, "I don't believe it."

"Well, this isn't exactly the original Piccolo you once knew." Frieza replied, "he is actually his reincarnation. I then trained him up and set him on the right path."

"Trained him!?" Cried everyone as a sweat drop dripped from Frieza's head.

"Yes, and I have been teaching him to be a good guy ever since he was reincarnated three years ago."

"Goodness, well, its nice to meet my ... ally?" Roshi replied nervously as he and Piccolo shook hands.

"So ... you're the human who raised Frieza?"

"Yes, I am." Replied Roshi as the two nervously stopped shaking hands.

"Great," smiled Frieza worriedly, "now that we all know each other we can enter the tournament."

He and Piccolo quickly left the astonished Roshi behind as they entered into the tournament grounds. With Krillin and Goku not too far behind them.

"I can't believe Frieza reformed our old enemy." Said Turtle to Roshi.

"N-neither can I. I-I can't believe the man who killed my master is now my son's student."

"Are you sure he made a good call?" Asked Bulma.

"If Frieza decided on it, then I'm sure it was." Replied Roshi, "but I guess we'll have to see for sure."

...

The group by now had officially entered into the tournament. Meeting up with Tien and Chiaotzu again who now seemed a little less on edge like they were three years ago. But they were still under Shin's thumb. Frieza was saddened at this, but knew he had to move on. The group than entered into the preliminaries, with Frieza, Goku, and Piccolo passing with ease. Krillin, Tien, and Chiaotzu also passed. The last two fighters were one unknown female fighter and an obscure male fighter.

The first match of the tournament was Chiaotzu vs. the obscure male fighter. In which he defeated them with ease. The next was Tien vs. Krillin. The fight was surprisingly close, with Krillin and Tien using their various techniques to try and outwit the other. Tien almost resorted to using the Tri-Beam. But he knew that would destroy the arena and leave him wide open. So he decided not to, instead, using a Solar Flare to blind Krillin before knocking him out of the ring.

From the ringside, Shen ordered Tien to finish off the monk while he was down. But Tien argued against, causing Shen to get angry.

"You failure! How dare you be soft on such a pitiful fighter! First you lose to a child and now have difficulty against this monk! What has become of you!?" Cried Shen as Tien grew angry.

"Its you who are a failure!" He retorted, "a failure as a master for not caring about your students! I have put up with your nonsense because I thought we were superior to the Turtle School. But we aren't, and it is because of you!" Cried Tien.

"Whatever, you want to join with the weaklings? Go right ahead, but don't come crying back to me!" Shouted Shen before he quickly filtered into the crowd and disappeared from sight.

Tien was a little saddened to see his former teacher abandon him and Chiaotzu. But he knew deep down he made the right call. So, as the announcer crowned him as the victor of the match, Tien helped Krillin to his feet. Commenting on how great of a fight Krillin gave him.

The next match was Goku vs. this mystery woman. Goku decided to hold back significantly, in order not to accidently kill the weaker woman. But even with this, the woman was nothing to him. He didn't even need to dodge her blows as they did nothing to him. The woman quickly tired herself out after this.

"No, no!" She cried, "I trained so hard to impress you and yet I am still nothing to you."

"Impress me?" Asked Goku, "why do you want to impress me?"

"Because you love fighting and I thought that's why you abandoned me!"

The group and crowd were surprised as much as Goku was. "Abandon you?" He asked, "what do you mean?"

"How could you forget!? It's me, Chichi! The woman you promised to marry!" Cried the woman as the crowd went silent.

"I did? Oh ... yeah, I did. But I thought marriage was a food, I didn't know it was such a commitment."

Chichi nearly fell to the floor upon hearing this. "Are you serious!?" She asked.

"Yeah, sorry about the confusion. But, honestly, I respect your dedication to me. Frieza has been telling me I need to find someone someday and I do like you. So, if it's all the same to you. Would you still marry me, Chichi?" Goku asked as the crowd gasped.

"Yes, yes, I will!" Cried Chichi as they hugged each other tightly before the crowd erupted in cheers.

Frieza then nudged Piccolo, "hey, maybe we can find someone for you someday." He chuckled.

Piccolo blushed nervously, "as if, Dad." He replied as Frieza chuckled.

After the clapping and cheering was over, Chichi eliminated herself. Moving the tournament onto the next fight. Which was Piccolo vs. Frieza. Frieza decided he could get away with using his Forth Transformed State as long as he only used less than one percent of its full power. Due to his students nearly surpassing all of his weaker states. He and Piccolo stepped onto the tournament area, bowing before each other. Frieza on the left and Piccolo on the right.

The announcer then began the match, before the two rushed at each other. Piccolo going all out and Frieza barely trying. Despite the massive gap in both skill and power. The two seemed to be nearly evenly matched. Punches and kicks were thrown that created shockwaves around them. Even their Ki Blasts didn't do much to turn the tide of the fight. Frieza even tried using his tail more in the fight, to catch Piccolo off guard. It worked at first, but Piccolo quickly became ready for it.

By the end of the scuffle that lasted nearly an hour, Piccolo was exhausted but Frieza was very much still in great condition. As if the fight had not significantly affected him at all.

"I wish the fight was different, Piccolo. I would've wanted to see how you and Goku would fair against each other. But, nevertheless there are always other tournaments. This is merely to show you to always keep training because their will always be someone above you."

"Yes, Frieza. I understand." Replied Piccolo.

"Good, you've become a great student. I couldn't be prouder."

Piccolo perked up upon hearing this, before Frieza blasted him out of the ring with a Compressed Air Blast. Winning the fight and moving onto the next round. But before the next stage began, Frieza helped his student out of the ring. Frieza then led Piccolo off into the stands before returning to Goku's side.

"Hey, Goku." Frieza began as the two walked over to the entrance to the ring. Watching the next fight of Chiaotzu vs. Tien begin.

"Oh! Hey, Frieza." Goku replied. "You and Piccolo sure had a good fight."

"I know, but I just wanted to say something I haven't had the chance to say in three years. Thank you."

"Thank you? For what?" Goku asked.

"Simple, if you hadn't told me that torturing King Piccolo was wrong. Then I would've never trained his son, and thus turned him into the great warrior he is today."

"Oh, Frieza. You don't need to thank me."

"Well, I feel like I do. So, thank you, Goku."

Goku embraced Frieza in a hug, "you're welcome, Frieza." Goku then broke the hug. "Now, let's hope our fight will be one to be remembered."

Frieza nodded, "yes, let's."

Chapter 6: Victory

Chapter Text

The next match up of the tournament was Tien vs. Goku. The fight was nothing but bad luck for Tien. Unlike many other worlds where Goku had the advantage and beat Tien with minimal effort. Here, it was a stomp in Goku's favor. Nothing Tien could do worked against the Saiyan sent to Earth. Thus, Goku moved onto the finals. Proceeding that, was Frieza vs. Chiaotzu. Which, Chiaotzu immediately forfeited. Knowing he stood absolutely no chance against Frieza and thus did not want the embarrassment that came with losing to him like that.

This meant that the final fight would be between Goku and Frieza. With all of their friends watching on and the audience getting excited to see a match that played out once before in this tournament area. Goku and Frieza walked onto the ring, side by side, smirking to each other as they reached their respective sides of the ring. Frieza on the right and Goku on the left.

"May the best fighter win, Frieza." Bowed Goku as Frieza did the same.

"Yes," replied Frieza, "don't hold back and give it your all."

"Begin!" Roared the tournament announcer as Frieza and Goku rushed towards each other.

Fists clashing in an instant and sending shockwaves around the arena. Nearly blowing the audience off their feet. The two then backed off, instantly firing a barrage of Ki Blasts at each other. Making sure not to hit the audience. But this did little to turn the tide of battle.

"Come on, Goku." Called Frieza. "You can do better than this."

"So can you, you're holding back still."

"I mean no disrespect by it, but you would not stand a chance against more than one percent of my full power."

"Still, I want you to try bumping it up a little."

"Are you sure?"

"It may surprise you what I can do, after all, I never showed you my true power during training."

Frieza was surprised, "impossible, I would've sensed it."

Goku chuckled, "I guess you didn't." Goku then cried out, a white aura appearing around him as his muscles bulged. "This is my full power right now."

Frieza smiled, "impressive, it's even surpassed my Third Transformed State."

From the stands, Piccolo was in awe. "Incredible," he thought. "I can't believe Goku was hiding that much power during training. It doesn't surpass Master Frieza yet, but one day he might be able to."

Frieza then held his hands out, his muscles bulging slightly as he smirked. "There, up to three percent of my full power. This should be an even match for your own."

Goku smiled, "good, I can't wait."

The two fighters then rushed at each other again. Clashing blows that sent the announcer flying back. Frieza was smiling uncontrollably as the fight continued.

"In-incredible," he thought. "He is finally catching up to me. I've waited decades for a fighter to do so. I thought only my brother could push me like this. But I'm enjoying this fight. A fight that isn't one sided. Goku, you are incredible."

For once, Goku could actually stood a chance against Frieza. Although the Frost Demon was holding back, it didn't matter to him. Goku had finally begun catching up to him. Something Goku didn't really understand the ramifications of. Sure, he could enjoy a good fight. But Frieza on the other hand, would have a fighter worthy and able enough to fight back against Cooler. He just had to get Piccolo to this level of strength and he might actually stand a chance against his army.

But Frieza could worry about that later, which was an oddity to him, not worrying about his brother. Frieza for decades had worried his brother would return. But very few times in his new life did he forget about his brother's presence in the universe. But Goku had helped him forget him. He was the first thing he could call a friend. To most it would be a chance encounter, but to Frieza, it was like fate. Him meeting with the wild monkey boy.

As their fight continued, Frieza and Goku were bruised and beaten beyond belief. The ring around them was shattered and the stands nearly just as destroyed. Blood ran down Goku's lip and nose. Blows he didn't block from Frieza. But that was when something happened, something unthinkable. When Goku threw a punch at Frieza, he struck his nose. Then, purple blood sprayed from Frieza's nose. The audience gasped as Frieza staggered back, purple blood running down his nose and into his hand.

"D-did you know what you just did?" Asked a stunned Frieza as he stared at his hand.

"F-Frieza ... I-I'm sorry I-" began Goku as Frieza began laughing.

"Ho, ho, ho, you made me bleed. Neither you nor any of my students have ever been able to draw blood during training. I'm ... so proud of you, Goku."

Goku smiled, "aw thanks, Frieza. I didn't know I had it in me."

"Neither did I," Frieza then looked at the sun as it began to slowly go down over the horizon. "Shall we finish this? It is getting late after all."

"Absolutely," smiled Goku.

The two then stepped back to opposite ends of the arena. Charging up before running at each other. Screaming out a battle cry. The two then extended their fists, a clash occurred, one the audience didn't even get to see before it was over. The two slid to a stop at opposite ends of the area from where they had begun. They breathed heavily. Before blood spewed from their mouths and onto the ground. Both then began to fall, towards the grass outside of the area. But Frieza, reached it first.

"It seems both competitors have fallen out of the area," called the tournament announcer. "But Goku seems to have stayed in longer. So he has won the World Martial Arts tournament!" The audience cheered as Goku gave a half-hearted smile. With Frieza shooting him a thumbs up when Goku looked over at him.

...

Afterwards, Goku and Frieza were given some Senzu Beans to heal their injuries and Goku wanted to spend all of his hard earned Zeni on food. But Frieza stopped him.

"Maybe you should spend your currency on your new wife, perhaps?" Frieza commented as Chichi smiled behind him.

"Oh, yeah. I never thought about that. Good idea, Frieza." Replied Goku as he walked over to Chichi. "What would you like for dinner?"

Chichi and Frieza's faces instantly went slack, "are you serious!?" Cried Chichi. "He means spend the tournament money on our wedding!"

"Oh, okay. How much am I supposed to pay you to marry me?"

Chichi then began to scream at Goku, trying desperately to explain to him what he should spend his money on. A sight Frieza laughed at.

"Those two are gonna be a handful, aren't they?" Asked Roshi as he approached Frieza from behind.

"Yes, certainly." Frieza replied, "although you do have to admit they are perfect for each other. In a weird way."

"Yes, they are." Roshi responded. "So, now what are you going to do, Son?"

Frieza shrugged his shoulders, "I do not know, Father. Most likely I'll just continue to run the Frieza Army and train. But, I'm worried."

Roshi's eyes widened. "Worried? Worried about what?" He asked.

"For many years now I've been waiting for my brother's arrival to this planet. But, he's never come. I do not believe he is dead. My brother was too powerful for something like that. But, I wonder where he is, and what he's been doing."

Roshi patted Frieza on the back, "does it matter? If he hasn't found Earth yet. It is highly likely he never will. Besides, you and your friends are strong enough to fight him. I'm sure of it."

Frieza nodded, "maybe you are right, Father. Perhaps we've just gotten lucky. Still, I will never truly be at peace until I know for certain he is dead."

"Then why don't you go looking for him?" Asked Piccolo as he approached the two.

"Piccolo, this is personal business. Nothing that concerns you." Said Frieza.

"Heh, with my hearing every conversation is my own. Besides, I think the fate of the planet is my concern."

Frieza sighed, "alright, well you know all about my brother, right?"

"Yes," replied Piccolo.

"Then you know he has not found us yet, and he poses a great danger to us and the planet."

"Yeah, I know. But that's why I wonder why you can't just leave this planet and go find him?"

"Personally, it's not that I can't fly through space. I certainly could, but I just ... I'm just afraid of space. After the last time I was stuck in it. Nearly dead and unable to do anything but look and hear. I ... I just do not want to go anywhere near space again."

Piccolo nodded, "I see, that makes sense."

"Indeed, so, I would rather just wait here for him. Maybe one day when I get enough courage I'll venture into space. But I have too many priorities on Earth to worry about Cooler."

With that, the discussion of Cooler ended there. Over the next couple weeks, Goku and Chichi were married. With Frieza being his best man at the wedding. The two then moved into a house of their own. With Frieza and Goku not keeping much contact over time. As Frieza and Piccolo continued to run the Frieza Army. With Piccolo becoming his new second-in-command. Demoting Violet to the general once again. But, she didn't mind. In face she did not particularly care for having that much authority over the Frieza Army in the first place. A point Frieza acknowledged with her demotion.

Life on Earth became peaceful once more. It seemed as if no new threats were emerging from the woodwork. Life could go on as it should. But, of course, peace can never last forever. As deep in space, on a singular space ship. A trio of soldiers were entering into the personal room of the ships captain. Once they entered, they saw Salza standing next to the captain. Who faced away from them in his gray swivel chair. Looking out of the huge window in front of him and into deep space. As Salza now wore a white cape with a gold star emblem on his right pectoral. The three soldiers then bowed before the captain and Salza.

"My lord, Vegeta's Squad is here."

"Thank you, Salza." Spoke the captain as he turned around. Revealing himself to be Frieza's brother, Cooler. Holding a wine glass with red wine inside. "Now then, what have you three come here for?"

The Saiyans stood up, revealing themselves to be Raditz, Nappa, and Vegeta.

"Lord Cooler," began Vegeta. "Raditz has informed me and Nappa about a Saiyan on the planet called Earth named Kakarot. He was sent there long ago, but was forgotten about there."

"Okay, and what good is this information to me? Why should I need one more Saiyan under my command? I already have the entire race, what good is one more?"

"Please, sir." Spoke Raditz suddenly as Vegeta and Nappa glared at him worriedly for speaking so suddenly. But Raditz ignored them. "My brother could be of good use to us. He could've found your brother there long ago and was just killed by him. That's most likely why we've never heard back from him."

Cooler scoffed, "I have searched countless galaxies for my idiot brother. Why would he be on such an underdeveloped mud ball called Earth?" Cooler held his wine glass tight, nearly cracking it under his hand.

"Forgive my colleague for speaking out of turn," called Vegeta, "his idiotic brain does have a six sense of sorts. As he is absolutely certain that Kakarot must've been killed by your brother, who is hiding out on Earth."

Cooler stood from his chair, his tail moving ferociously as he did so. "If he is so certain," Cooler began. "Then go to Earth and report back on if you have found him."

"Yes, sir. Of course, sir." Bowed Vegeta, as Nappa and Raditz did the same.

"Hold it!" Cooler called, stopping the Saiyans in their tracks. "I want Raditz to go alone. You two can find more useful ways to waste time. Is that understood?"

"Yes, sir!" Called all three Saiyans.

"Good, you have your missions. Now go."

The three Saiyans then bowed before leaving the room, leaving Salza and Cooler all alone.

"Lord Cooler, if I may ask. Why did you not just execute that monkey for speaking out of turn like that?" Salza asked.

"Because what would the use for that be? Wasting my power on a useless monkey like Raditz. Those Saiyans are disrespectful sometimes, but they have their uses. Why do you think I did not just wipe out the entire planet?"

"I thought that was because you wanted to have a bargaining tool to use against them? So they would not try and overthrow you."

Cooler smirked, "and that is why you are my second-in-command, Salza. Because you're very smart, almost as smart as me. Yes, those monkeys wouldn't dare lay a hand on me if they wanted their planet or their race left."

"Right, in any case, do you think Raditz is right? That your brother could be hiding out on Earth? I don't mean to ignore your judgment, but it would be an ideal hiding place if he did not want you to come find him."

"Last time I saw my brother he was just a toddler, there is no way he was that clever. But, in any case, if he is on Earth he'll die. Just like everyone else on it will for hiding him there. Then, I'll blow up the whole planet. Maybe even the solar system. No, wait, I've got a better idea. I'll just kill everyone on it first, then blow up the solar system and let Frieza watch me do it. Powerless to stand up to me. Yes, I will finish our feud and remain as the one true ruler of this universe." Cooler smirked, chuckling to himself.
