“Good morning!” Anna called out as Rapunzel entered the boathouse for practice.
“Wow, Anna, you’re the first one here?”
“Yeah, all the fog, I guess everyone is running late today?”
“How’d you get here so early?” Rapunzel asked.
“I’m staying pretty close by this summer,” Anna explained. “What about you?”
“I always get here right about now, really.” Rapunzel looked out toward the river. “I hope it clears before the regatta tomorrow. I don’t think they could have everyone out there safely.”
“I’m sure it’ll be fine,” Anna replied, looking out at the parking lot.
“Oh! Someone’s here!” Rapunzel cried out.
“Not again,” Anna groaned. “Of all the people to get here early…”
“Hans?” Rapunzel asked, watching as the car he got out of drove off. “Do I want to know why?”
“We dated last year,” Anna admitted.
“Oh, I see,” Rapunzel nodded. “That sort of thing can be either really great or, well, really not.”
“At least Elsa gave a heads up to the coach, so Hans won’t end up in my boat.”
“Isn’t he in Elsa’s boat?”
“Well, yeah, but it’s not like she dated him.”
Hans had apparently decided not to come inside, and was lingering on the other side of the door.
“So did you two meet on your college team?” Rapunzel asked.
“Not exactly, we were in a musical together,” Anna said.
“I would not have expected that of him,” Rapunzel commented.
Anna nodded. Elsa had arrived, and Olaf was coming in as well. Practice would happen. The fog was even beginning to clear.
