Work Text:
Love made Chishiya weak.
It wasn’t because he didn’t have any boundaries and let anyone do whatever they wanted with him neither because he suffered for love. He was the opposite. And that’s why love made him weak. After a life of being alone, observing and analyzing people in order to achieve his goals, a little bit of love -even the friend type- for him, and from him to someone else made him change. It made Chishiya more open. At least with Kuina.
That is why now he was at the bar of a club, in the middle of a party, with a couple of glasses in front of him. Both of them -he and the glasses- abandoned when a song that Kuina wanted to dance began to play.
Chishiya had never been out partying. The issue of not having friends to go out with was not a problem, he simply wasn't a boy who liked parties, or excessive alcohol, and he didn't dance either.
The only reason he was at a party right now was to accompany Kuina. It had been at least a month since she had been insisting on him to go out dancing. He wanted to show her that the parties weren't so bad and that he could have fun at them. Also, something that Chishiya didn't miss was that Kuina wanted to go out because she wanted to, she just didn't have anyone with whom.
Turning around in his seat, Chishiya focused on Kuina dancing on her own on the dance floor. He sighed and drank from the alcohol poured into his glass, while he thought about how they met.
It can be said that their relationship began when they crossed paths several times in the hospital, both victims of the meteorite that fell in Shibuya. From there, and with a feeling of having already met, they struck up a friendship. Kuina was good at following his games and jokes; she was good at getting him out of his comfort zone and she was good at being patient with him. Every day she forced him to discover a new part of himself that seemed deeply buried since he didn't know when.
Little by little they were gaining confidence, spending time together and living together a large part of the time. Somehow, both filled in something the other lacked and both inflicted change on the other. This is why, little by little, Chishiya, for the first time in a long time had a crush on someone.
The one and last time that Chishiya liked someone did not end well. It didn't end badly either. He just didn't do anything and let the feeling die. But this time it was different. Kuina was a very attractive person, she attracted him in the very sense of the word, so he did not intend to walk away. In turn, being friends with her brought him new things that, although they had a starting point in having survived the meteorite, were intensified by their friendship. Sensations, emotions, changes, company and displays of affection from someone, finally, from someone. For this reason, what at first was a crush, ended up as he felling in love; although it was efficiently limited, it was still there.
Because he was in love, Chishiya was now in a club, watching Kuina dance. The song that was playing was slow in his opinion, but it was still danceable. Or at least Kuina made it look like one.
He didn't know if there were fewer people because of the rhythm of the song or if his feelings were getting out of control at that moment, because Kuina stood out on the dance floor. Each movement flowed, they were slow and at a certain point sensual. Moving the head, the legs and especially the arms and hips. You could tell she was enjoying that moment and you could tell she was happy.
Much of the song went by like this, Kuina dancing and him watching her enjoy herself. Until at one point she looked at him and smiled, to which Chishiya smiled back, snapping out of his reverie, realizing that he was a little thirsty and felt a little hot - a party in a very closed place, which one might expect- with his body reacting.
After sharing smiles and with the end of the second chorus, in a less danceable part, Kuina got closer little by little, fooling around with her movements. Chishiya only smirked whenever Kuina gestured at him. Reaching his side, she grabbed his arms and pulled him out of his seat, using a little bit force.
“Let's dance,” Kuina yelled into his ear.
"I don't dance," even with his retort, Kuina kept leading him to the dancing floor.
"Please, Cheshire, you came to party with me, not to sit still." And just with that, Kuina made Chishiya agree, if only to move minimally. That "just with that" implied the use of a nickname and a little bit of force, which for Chishiya was quite a lot considering how he felt about Kuina.
They danced a few songs, Kuina actually dancing and he barely moving his head and body to the rhythm of the songs, keeping a little distance, all that was possible in the club.
It was like that until a song began to play, disco style and talked about falling in love, asking the other person to love you, basically. With this song, something happened that Chishiya wasn't expecting and to some extent hadn't allowed himself to think about: Kuina called his name and started singing the lyrics. He just smiled at her action, since she wasn't the only one singing.
He saw how Kuina's expressions changed, letting out a sigh and lowering her eyes, just like she did every time she was going to do something that made her nervous. After this she approached him. They were no longer dancing with a good distance, they were glued together, dancing together. Or rather, Kuina dancing to Chishiya. Calming his thoughts a bit, he too continued to dance.
More and more together; as seconds passed, their eyes meeting more, until they stopped looking away. With Kuina singing the lyrics, singing as if she wanted to tell him something. Looking at him more and more, getting closer and closer.
They kept dancing like this, until Kuina lowered her face a little and they brushed noses. And Chishiya couldn't take it anymore. He ended the distance by giving Kuina a small kiss. Quick, in case he had misunderstood things, so as not to make everything more uncomfortable with a long and unnecessary kiss.
Waiting for Kuina to move away, Chishiya was surprised to feel himself being grabbed by the arms. More, albeit with some relief, when Kuina kissed him back.
That was a good kiss and that was a good make-out session, guided by Kuina, who -probably- had more experience between the two and without an awkward conversation in the middle. So now, Chishiya would have to figure out if this had been a one-night thing, something typical of Kuina at parties, or if it meant something.
Until he managed to discover it, he would have nothing but to repress what was released.
