Work Text:
It was a day like any other. Jason was pacing around his apartment having a panic attack. Then, he picked up his phone.
He was in dire need of a job, and he was an absolute idiot, so he went to the only place where he could find somewhere that would actually hire him. Craigslist.
He soon found an ad for a job that seemed easy enough. Security guard for the pizzeria nearby. The brand had a history of deaths relating to the animatronics, but he was sure he'd be fine. What were the chances of something like that happening again?
He soon got to talk with the head of the place, some dude named Henry. He explained that basics of the job and barely anything more.
And just like that, Jason was heading to his first day of working as a security guard for Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. He walked through the doors of the place at 11:55 am, and spent five minutes looking around the place and laughing at the goofy looking animatronics. He soon got to his office, where he sat down on the chair and immediately started spinning on it. Once it hit 12 am on the clock, the phone on the desk started ringing, which almost gave him a heart attack, but he picked it up and a prerecorded message started playng.
"Hello? Hello, hello." The voice said.
Immediately, he hung up the call.
"Aw hell nah. I ain't listening to some dumbass employee instruction manual. This job should be easy enough. Just look at cameras all night and chill." He thought out loud. Oh how wrong he was.
Speaking of cameras, he booted up the monitor that displayed them and looked at the stage. The robots looked much creepier under the lighting seen on the cameras. He studied the scene until, suddenly, static filled the monitor, and once it disappeared, one of the animatronics, the bunny, wasn't there. Jason freaked the fuck out. How did it move? Were they programmed to do that? Actually, that was probably it. They were probably just programmed to move around during the night so they didn't start rusting or something.Yeah that was it. He still decided to keep an eye on the bunny. Bonnie, was it? Oh who cares about the names. He seemed to be in the area where the tables are, right next to the stage.
Jason stared at the rabbit as he moved around the building, always keeping an eye on the battery he had left, since he feared what would happen if it ran out. Soon, Bonnie reached the office and peaked his head from the left door of the office. Jason panicked, quickly pressing the button to close said door. He slowly walked to the window and pressed the light switch to see if the animatronic was still there.
Getting a closer look at him, he actually looked really cool. Bonnie noticed the guard at the window and pressed his face against the glass. The man marvelled at just how cool this thing looked. They spent a while staring at each other, almost like it was a staring contest, despite it being pointless to play one of those due to one of the two being non human. Suddenly, all lights turned off and the door opened. The robot walked into the office, still staring at Jason.
'Oh shit' He thought 'What do I do now?'
The bunny kept aproaching the man, until he stopped right in front of him. Then, a robotic voice spoke up.
"Um, hi" He said, waving his hand. The expression on the animatronic's face could be compared to an awkward smile.
To say Jason was confused was an understatement.
"Hello?" He said, trying to make sense of the situation.
"Why'd you close the door on me?" Bonnie asked.
"Uh- I dunno.. I thought you might hurt me. I don't know why I assumed that." He explained.
"Oh, don't worry, I won't! Either way, it's almost 6 am, your shift's about to end." Was it? He looked towards the clock on the office and, yep, 5:59.
"See you tomorrow!" And with those words, the robotic bunny de-activated, and Jason's shift was over.
Time to go home and think about whatever the hell just happened.
