aaron hotchner (caregiver)
1. called either daddy, dad or dada by his kids. the name usually depends on their age
2. has rules set in place but isn't overly strict. he keeps promises like healthy eating but has too much of a soft spot for his kids to get into any big trouble
3. spoils his kids rotten. he can’t help it when they’re at the store and someone’s eyes wander towards a toy or sweets, he just has to buy it for them. he has zero chill
4. will purposely get things wrong, especially in front of spencer, so he can be corrected. it almost always has spencer dissolving into fits of giggles
5. the best hair braider you will ever see. dave has his cooking skills, but he’ll never be able to do the girls’ hair as well as he can
6. extremely protective
7. ^ to add on, constant check ups on each kid
8. enforces pleases and thank yous for everything. he emphasises it when he says it himself, reminding the kids that they need to say it too. he’s all about good manners, inside of the house and out
9. loses games/competitions on purpose
dave rossi (caregiver)
1. pretty much always called papa by the kids
2. promotes 'suggestions’ rather than ‘rules’
3. insists he cooks because he doesn't trust aaron in the kitchen
4. nicknames galore for his kids
5. always carrying snacks whenever they go out somewhere
6. loves outdoors adventures. he’ll find any excuse to go on a nature walk or have a picnic
7. talks his kids through whatever he’s/they’re doing. cooking, shopping, cleaning etc
8. very anti takeout, as much as the kids love it. he does treat them to one every once in a while
9. builds the BEST pillow/blanket forts
spencer reid (1-6)
1. loves magic!! most of the time his tricks don't work out or are extremely easy but no one ever has the guts to tell him
2. science kits are some of his favourite toys. him and derek have probably got in trouble more than once for using one without adult supervision
3. doesnt like admitting when he has regressed, normally in public. it doesn't take a profiler to realise he has, though
4. ^ tells include fingers brushing past/slipping into his mouth, keeping his head down, mumbling nonsense to himself etc
5. most nights probably has a seperate dinner from everyone else. he's very particular about his foods and their textures, even more so when he’s little
6. dismissing his regression needs world champion. overworks himself or holds off being little for as long as he can before he breaks and regresses involuntarily
7. he’s either nonverbal or unable to stop babbling about everything and anything. there’s a middle ground where he speaks a few words very rarely
8. uses ASL while nonverbal or in times of panic
9. the clingiest baby you will ever meet. he always needs someone within arms reach
10. so incredibly afraid of the dark, especially in his younger headspaces. he normally sleeps with aaron and/or dave but will use a nightlight in his own room if he’s 5 or 6
11. persistent nail biter. more so when he’s anxious or nervous, but still does it normally if he’s not doing anything with his hands
12. HATES socks and shoes. some days he can barely manage to get them on without crying if they’re going out somewhere
13. tears up easy. something as simple as a toy that he’s looking for being out of his sight is enough to make him tear up, even if it’s just behind him or one of his siblings picked it up without asking
14. very easily overstimulated
15. stubborn. good luck trying to get him to admit he needs something
16. loves being read to!! dave is his favourite story teller because he does different voices
derek morgan (5-10)
1. insists he's big enough to do everything himself. he struggles to admit he needs help as a result of his actual childhood
2. when throwing tantrums is the type to hold his breath until he gets what he wants. also a feet stamper
3. MESSY. EATER. not one night has he walked away from the dinner table clean off sauce or food
4. despises bedtime. bedtime is derek’s number one enemy.
5. after tough days he loves to play football with aaron and just talk. whether about what’s bothering him or anything that comes to mind
6. doesn’t like to be alone but sometimes insists to be, even though he really doesn’t want to be by himself
7. playing pretend has to be a favourite of his. him, penelope and emily are always running around the house with a new dress up game. sometimes spencer will hang around, not really understanding what’s going on but happy to be included
8. video game fanatic
9. challenges everyone to arm wrestling matches at any opportunity. he always brags when he wins against aaron
10. notorious prankster
11. dinosaurs <3
12. has definitely jumped on the beds more times that he’d like to admit
13. loves throwing mini parties. he’ll play music and lower the lights. he’ll let reid break and connect the glow sticks and let penelope set up decorations
14. goes through phases. pirates, superheros, cars, trains. dinosaurs is one of the only ones that has really stuck
emily prentiss (3-8)
1. genuinely unable to stay still. needs to be doing something of every second
2. easily bored
3. looks up to jj in every aspect you could think of. she’s always following jj around or bugging jj to play with her
4. will pretend she has hurt herself to get a bandaid. don’t underestimate her
5. very competitive around derek. she has yet to beat him at any of his video games, but she’s been practising
6. due to her competitive nature, is a bit of a sore loser
7. loves climbing on things. furniture, trees, fences. literally anything
8. she is a BITER!!!! you better watch out if you’re in an play fight with little emily
9. can be very fussy
10. the craziest sleeper ever. moves around like crazy
11. probably the reason the house has reward charts, but she’ll always deny it
12. known for being a bad influence. specifically to whoever is younger than her, more often than not it’s spencer. she teaches him how to throw fits to get his way or how to do the most adorable puppy dog eyes, she’ll even teach her cheeky and teasing retorts to being reprimanded by aaron or dave
jennifer jareau (8-15)
1. resident parent helper. everyone's older sister pretty much all of the time
2. romcom movie nights with aaron and thriller movie nights with dave <3
3. also household tattletale, follows the rules to a t. she’s only snitching out of the goodness of her heart, mainly when her siblings are endangering themselves and she's just worried
4. comfortable going anywhere as long as she isn’t alone
5. board game enthusiast. especially puzzle or trivia related games. typically plays with spencer when he’s feeling old enough for it
6. finds joy in running errands with her caregivers. loves going grocery shopping or to the bank
7. probably the cleanest sibling. she has table manners and cleans up toys/games after she’s finished
8. loves helping out her little siblings with anything she can. derek always uses it to his advantage to get her to help him clean up his toys - jj doesn’t mind though
penelope garcia (3-7)
1. at least one stuffed animal has to be within reach at all times. she can’t pick a favourite because she’s scared of hurting any of their feelings
2. loves drawing and colouring. pretty much anything creative
3. will stay in the kitchen while dave cooks or bakes. she loves helping him out, but sometimes she prefers to just sit on a counter and watch
4. holding hands and hugs <3
5. loves making ‘potions’ in the bathroom sink with spencer. sometimes emily will join them
6. has probably coloured on the walls before
7. invites everyone and all her stuffed animals for tea parties in her room. she loves dressing her caregivers up for the occasion
8. she really wants to play princesses and knights with derek, but he always insists on being a dragon. one time he was a knight because spencer agreed to be the dragon and he was the cutest dragon anyone has ever seen
9. makes bead bracelets!! everyone in the family has one with their name or nickname on it. aaron and dave have ones too obviously
10. always carrying sweets in her pocket. the best at stealing from the cookie jar
11. can be quite forgetful. misplaces her toys, shoes, clothes all the time. there's always a search hunt going down in the house
12. opposed to emily; penelope’s a completely still sleeper. wakes up in the same position she fell asleep in
13. the sweetest sweet tooth to ever sweet
14. has a 'salon' (her bedroom) where she paints her siblings’ and caregivers’ nails, does their hair and does their makeup
