There once lived a man named Min Yoongi. He lived in a secluded castle where he lived there for his entire life, hiding away from the world. The city he lived in was called La Città Di Smeraldo in Italy. He got here because of his father. His father decided to send him to a place far away since his father's wife and children tried to kill him. Yoongi's mother died during giving birth to him due to excessive bleeding.
The whole village was curious about what the man looked like since he always wore a mask. They were also curious about what his name was but it was never revealed. Some were trying to approach him but instead, the man always hid away in anger and distrust. The only time the village will see him was when he went out to his garden to grow the most beautiful flowers. That was the only time Yoongi was happy. Growing flowers was peace for him.
Everyone wanted to know how the man grew the most beautiful flowers they'd ever since but none could ever approach him or else he'll hide away from them.
A month passed by, and Yoongi was looking out his castle window and noticed that someone was approaching his place. Though, he couldn't see who it was. He watched as they climbed over the fence and went towards his garden of flowers. It made him furious. Why would they steal the precious flowers that he grew all by himself and brought him happiness.
He was trying to get a good look at the person before the wind hit and their cape hood uncovered the other's head.
It was a boy.
The boy continued to grab the flowers and collect as many as he could before running off. Yoongi watched as he ran off with the flowers that he grew.
During the next few nights, Yoongi decided to night guard his garden and watched as the boy continued coming to his garden to steal the flowers and run away with them. Every night he watched as he climbed up the fence, took the flowers, and ran away.
"Who is he?" He asked himself and walked away from the window. "Why does he steal my precious flowers?"
One day, Yoongi decided to quietly follow him which led him to the village where he lived. There he saw as she sold the flowers for money. That day he found out that the boy came from a very poor family and only stole the flowers to provide for his family who starved and suffered a lot. He also found out that the boy's name was Jung Hoseok.
Yoongi felt very bad for him. He watched as Hoseok sold flowers for money. Hoseok was very beautiful too. He wanted to help him and teach him how to grow the most beautiful flowers that he grows in his garden.
When he returned home he went straight to growing more flowers so the boy could come and take them to sell them. Yoongi made sure that they were perfect and more beautiful than before.
Many days passed by and the boy continued to come which made Yoongi fall for him. He wishes to go talk to him and show up in front of him but he was afraid that Hoseok will be terrified of him. He couldn't show up in front of him. He has to hide his ugly.
Hoseok wouldn't love his ugly.
Yoongi decided to never confess his feelings for the other and never show up to him because he was afraid. The only thing he did was continue growing flowers for him so he would continue to keep coming. That way Yoongi will see him.
One day, he decided to grow an expensive flower just for him to sell. Just so he could show his sincerity to him. That's when he locked himself in his castle and tried to create the most beautiful flower. After many attempts he finally did it. He made the flower. One of the most beautiful flowers made just for Hoseok.
"Smeraldo." The man said. He wrote on a piece of paper what the flower was gonna be called. He made sure that everything was written on the piece of paper so he could remember it and continue making more flowers like it. Smeraldo stands for emerald in Italian. It also stands for 'Sincerity that could not be delivered'
The smeraldo did not yet exist in the world. He was excited to see the reaction of Hoseok when he comes and takes the flower.
That night, Yoongi waited and waited. Watching from his window to see if the boy comes again. He continued waiting for him to arrive but Hoseok never did.
Yoongi wondered where he could have been. But he decided to keep positive thoughts and wait for him every day.
No sign of him.
Where could he be?
The boy never returned to his garden.
Yoongi sighed and decided to go look for him. He put on his mask and left his castle to go to the village where Hoseok lived. He walked around the village looking for him but no sign of him. He decided to go to where he always sold flowers but he was nowhere to be seen. Yoongi heard a cry and decided to follow the crying which led to a family crying to a grave.
The man was confused and tried to take a sneak peek at who they were crying for. When he came closer he looked at the name that was carved in a thin wood before his eyes widen in shock.
Jung Hoseok
1494 - 1513
Yoongi couldn't believe it. He couldn't believe that the boy he fell in love with has died. He could feel his heart shatter.
Why didn't he confess to him earlier?
Why?
He went back to his castle and locked himself from the world again. Yoongi was heartbroken. Maybe if he only had the courage and showed up to him, would everything be different?
He took off his mask and threw it to the ground which broke into pieces. The man then broke down into tears that ran down his cheeks nonstop. He cried and cried all day and night. He didn't wanna believe that Hoseok was gone.
Hoseok never got to see the beautiful flower that Yoongi grew for him that resembles him.
Ever since Hoseok's death, Yoongi kept himself locked in his castle, away from the world. The flowers that he grew have all died even the smeraldo flowers, except for one. Only one smeraldo flower was alive that just stood there all beautiful and precious.
Years passed by, 1546, the whole village found out that the masked man has died due to an unexpected reason. Nobody knew how he died. Ever since his death nobody went to his castle or trespassed.

It was the year 2013 and a woman decided to trespass and investigate the castle where a man has died years ago. When she went in, everything was gone. No furniture, no man, just nothing. She walked out of the castle and decided to go to the garden where the man usually grew flowers at. That's when she spotted the most beautiful flower that she'd never seen before. She wondered how the flower was there until she noticed something bright from under the dirt that was shining because of the sun.
The woman decided to carefully dig the flower out with the roots and put it in a cup that she found in her bag. Then she dug out whatever was in the dirt.
When she dug it out, it was a small chest noticed that the lock was broken before slowly opening it. Inside it was old piles of paper and a bag of seeds.
Her first thought was that it was probably from the man who passed away in the castle. She began to read the paper and noticed that the name of the flower was smeraldo. She never heard of a flower called like that. But she knew that the flower would be one expensive flower that no one has seen before.
The woman continued reading it and then read the bottom of the paper. "Sincerity that could not be delivered?" She realized that it was the meaning of the flower. The rest of the papers was a story. "Wow, I got to show this to everyone" she grabbed the stuff and the smeraldo flower before running off to the city.
There, the smeraldo flower was then discovered on June 12 of 2013.

"Jin, Jimin, V, and Jungkook! Is time for you guys to get on stage!" A staff member said as the vocal line rushed to the stage to sing their song 'The Truth Untold' inspired by an old story called 'Legend Of The Smeraldo Flower'
Fans love the song and its meaning of it. Even the story since it's a heartbreaking story of a man who fell in love with a poor boy during the 16th century.
When the vocal line started to sing, Hoseok watched them from backstage. Hoseok loved the song very much, even the story. Ever since he read the story, he wanted to buy the smeraldo flower but he never found any of them. It was a hard task for him because the flower was expensive but also beautiful.
Yoongi approached Hoseok from behind as he was holding something in his hand behind his back. "Hoba?" He said and Hoseok turned around to face him.
"Yes, Yoonie?" Hoseok smiled and looked at him as the other also looked at him.
"I got something for you"
"What is it?"
Yoongi took out his hand from his back and revealed a smeraldo flower. Hoseok gasped and looked at the flower before back at his boyfriend. "Where did you get it?"
Yoongi chuckled "I have my ways" He gave the flower to Hoseok who held it and smiled before hugging him.
"Thank you, Yoon, I love it!" Hoseok then felt a pair of arms wrap around his waist.
"You're welcome, Hoba" the male smiled before Hoseok looked at him and kissed his lips gently. Yoongi kissed him back gently but also passionately, pulling him closer by the waist while Hoseok held the smeraldo flower.
After a bit, they broke the kiss and looked at each other. "I love you, Hoseok" Yoongi said with courage, and a smile formed on his lips.
"I love you too, Yoongi" Hoseok showed his beautiful heart smile that the other adore so much.
After years, he finally had the courage to confess his love for the other. He wasn't scared to tell him since Hoseok was never scared of him. Yoongi loved him so much that someday he wants to marry him. Only when the other is ready.
