Lover or business partner?

Summary:

Basically Clownpierce wondering why he is so ‘intrigued’ by his new business partner

This is my first fic, so constructive criticism is always appreciated!!

Work Text:

Clownpierce didn’t know why he had such sudden interest in his new business partner.

He had never been so intrigued by someone this much on the server as a whole. Everyone had their perks that made them stand out in a crowd, so why was he so different? Why did it feel like there was a magnetic field pulling Clown closer to the man? Maybe it was his honesty, there wasn’t a lot of truly honest people on this server. Everyone always had their own little something they wanted to hide from the rest of the world, either it being a personal weakness or a upcoming trap. But he just said everything he thought of, wether it be something as insignificant as what he had that morning, or something as important as redstone leaking the walls of spawn’s tunnels. He was also easy to read, though it was clear he knew that as well. Clown could easily tell when he was nervous because of his shaky body language or his unprepared voice that sounded like he was seconds away from running for his life. Most of the time when he ran he got away, wether that be setting a trap days before hand or just pure luck. It was probably the latter.

He wondered if he knew that Clown noticed how he looked awkwardly towards the exit like he was about to run(even though he wouldn’t dare to do so), or when he was staring starstruck at the blood spread across Clown’s mask, or when there was a certain spark in his eyes that he knew all too well yet was a total stranger to. He wondered if he knew how Clown would stare at him in the same way when he wasn’t looking.

But that didn’t matter now.

“Hey Clown!” Branzy yelled as he walked into the casino. “Hello, Branzy” Clown said with a caring undertone to his usual monotone voice.

He wondered if he picked up on how Clown’s voice changed when he was around, he wondered if could tell he was smiling under his mask.
