The Saint finds themselves at the end of Rubicon, looking up towards the pipe that would lead them to their freedom.
Cycles upon cycles had passed since they started their mission. Countless iterators had been ascended by them.
And now they had ascended the final one.
The Saint followed an all too familiar path towards the Void Sea, as they had gone numerous times before. Through Subterranean, through the Filtration System, through Rubicon…
.
.
…and now the Void Sea.
They swim up and up, past all of the Void Worms and towards the emptiness above. Eventually, they stop, expecting a Void Worm to approach them.
It doesn’t.
Rather, a ghostly figure appears nearby. It looks like the max karma symbol, but…wrong. They stare at each other for a few seconds until Saint activates their ability, hovering over the strange figure.
Upon ascension, a bright light comes from it, encompassing Saint.
Without warning, the slugcats from the past, present, and future are all whisked away to a world unknown.
