In the Morning:
Sunlight soaked through the stained windows of his room. It glittered off the chandelier and onto your closed eyelids. You turned and shifted in the cool sheets so your sleepy eyes could seek refuge in the purple plum of the silk pillows.
An arm snaked around your middle and turned you over again, using gentle strength to pull you back to where you were. You hid your face in Vil's chest, blocking out the light as much as possible. You groaned when the gentle fingers tracing your spine under your shirt made your brain rise from its morning mellow.
"Good morning, my love. I take it you slept well? It's already 10:00" Vil sounded like he only just woke up himself. Your ears could recognize the low tone of his voice
"I'm surprised you let me sleep that long" your voice was muffled as you were still hiding from the sun. Vil sighed and untangled his legs from yours. You turned on your front face down and groaned as he left.
The velvety curtains closed to block out the enemy rays, and your eyelids finally lifted. Vil looked at you ungracefully sprawled on the bed. He crossed his arms, "Well you're not staying in bed for much longer."
You failed to point out his hair was unruly because he immediately sat by his mirror and brushed it out. Despite clearly seeing you still in bed, he didn't pester you. Vil then left to brush his teeth. With the thick curtains blocking the sun, you started to drift to sleep again.
When Vil came back, he forcefully threw the blankets off you. You jolted due to the sudden temperature change.
"Up. Now. Brush your teeth and change, you'll be joining me for some light yoga." Vil said. He was not kidding. He didn't return the warm blankets either.
You woefully got up and went to do as you were instructed. You got your toothbrush and picked a pair of clothes from the drawer in his room that was dedicated to your things. Vil waved to you as you left.
-
Two yoga mats were placed when you came back. Vil still stood there waiting. When you were close enough, he dipped his head down to give you a proper good morning. He kissed you thrice, mumbled good morning against your lips, and kissed you once more.
Noon:
After showering, you did your skincare routine, and went to a small but classy café for brunch on the island. It was by the seaside, and Vil always reserved a table for the two of you. Vil favored it because of how natural the menu it was. The owner was a former herbalist, and even sold home-grown herbs and tinctures. It was a small store connected to the café. You've bought salves and dried hibiscus multiple times with Vil.
You were distracted looking at the sea. The sun you so hated in the morning now mesmerized you with how it sparkled and bounced elegantly off the water. Vil knew this was your favourite spot. The café patio was small with only three tables placed, so it was private for the two of you to enjoy. It was by the sea which you loved to watch when the waves crashed against the rocks below.
Out of the three, Vil always reserved the farthest one. It was sunny, but also provided shade. Instead of sitting by the window where people could gawk at him, the table was by the jasmine covered wall. You loved the smell of jasmine. Vil once gifted you a jasmine perfume and it was your favourite one.
You shared rose hip and apple muesli for brunch with lemongrass tea. It paired well with it.
"Do we still need to get elderflower salve? I remember you saying something about it" you asked and sipped your tea
"Yes, I was wondering why your skin was slightly irritated. Only a little bit, but now I realize you probably didn't use the cream I gave you," Vil knew he was right when you took another guilty sip of your tea. he sighed, "Did you forget, dear?"
"...Yes..."
"And why would that be?"
"..I was helping deuce fix his blast cycle, and it took way longer then I thought. And then there was that assignment to collect those magic berries for Crewel's class. There was none left in the garden so I had to scavenge for them myself...I, well, it was dark okay? And don't be mad," you paused and Vil arched his shaped brow, waiting for you to continue "but I may have tripped and it hurt, so I forgot."
"I wouldn't be mad at you for that, but please tell me immediately when these things happen. Is it a scrape or bruise?" he asked
"Both..." Vil winced slightly.
"Alright then. Maybe we need the salve after all. And probably arnica tincture." He called for the bill before standing up and helping you out of your seat like the gentleman he is.
In the Afternoon: (1:30 PM)
Vil took a stylish shirt from the rack and held it against you. It was white like the jasmine flowers. He seemed to be debating on it.
"Mm, no." he put it back and looked for something else. Just as he found another item to compare 3 minutes later, you had drifted off. Vil had no choice but to follow you. "Did you find something you like?"
When you spun around to face him, Vil immediately looked down at the lantern sleeve cardigan you were holding. It was a light purple. He plucked it from your hands like a flower and inspected it with caution.
"It goes with your eyes," you said, looking directly at his eyes with a smile. Vil turned away with pink tinting his complexion.
"..I'll keep it for now. I want to find something for you though," he looked at the sweater again, "perhaps something to compliment?"
-
You took another three hours to visit different shops. Vil was stubborn to the last detail. At one point, you thought about getting a bracelet as you had seen too many influencing adds about them, and it took half an hour to decide. You were surprised when Vil got a matching one for himself, he expressed no interest before. Matching bracelets was the last item on your list, and you intertwined fingers as you left the store.
It was a 20 minute drive back to NRC, and Vil didn't let go of your hand. He put the radio on a low setting and turned the driving wheel with one hand (the one with the bracelet), and held yours in the other. He probably noticed you staring, but just let you without teasing.
"It's almost 5:00. The sunset is at 5:30 today. Do you want to go to the docks after dropping off our bags?" Vil gave you a lightning quick glance
"Sure."
"Good." he smiled, giving your hand a light squeeze. You've been together all day, but there was this specific spot on the beach hidden by large rocks that he liked to go to sometimes. It was north east where the beach started to narrow, completely private where Vil could be alone with you, away from NRC.
In the Evening:
Vil did not forget about the tincture when you arrived at Pomefiore. You put the bags down and he demanded to see your wound, scolding you for not telling him when it happened. Vil pulled out the chair from his desk for you to sit in, and pushed up your pant leg. He frowned when the saw the hideous purple bruise and sore scrapes corrupting your skin.
His brow furrowed even more when he saw you didn't even take care of it properly. Vil chastised you even more, showing you how to take care of these things properly.
"At least go to the infirmary..."
-
You put down a beach blanket and sat with your legs out. Vil was gracefully beside you, wrapping an arm around your shoulders and pulling you closer to kiss the crown of your head. When the sun started to go down, an arm around your shoulders wasn't enough.
Vil pushed you away momentarily to maneuver you into his lap. Now, he could kiss your cheeks to make them as red as the sky, your neck to make you squirm and laugh, your shoulder so you press into him more, and your hands. He could hold both your hands while being wrapped around you.
The sun bounced of the clouds in brilliant hues of red and orange with specks of ochre above. The yellow crept into the gentle serene blue that was painted above it, begging it stay away and let the warmer colours remain. The way the lasting light reflected in the quiet waters was charming. The sound of the rolling waves was lulling like freshly brewed lemon balm, and the sun setting atop it was something made of magic. This was an everyday occurrence, yet alluring every time.
You talked freely in each others arms until the gentle serene blue turned deep and navy, only a flicker of yellow left in the sky. Stars started to wake and watch over you as you packed your blanket and headed back to the dormitory.
Night Time:
You had a bath with lavender salts. It was proven to be soothing due to its aromatic properties and anxiety and stress relieving. It was great before bed.
Along with your skincare routine, Vil rubbed ginger and lavender oil on your bruise to help it heal. There was around an hour and a half before bed, so this was the perfect time to read.
The moon was snuggled in a blanket of stars, and you were snuggled with Vil on the plush, deep indigo bedroom bench by the foot of his bed. Empty teacups that were filled with holy basil tea were on the small table behind you by the window, the velvet curtains still closed. Vil didn't want to get into the habit of preparing holy basil tea, however. While it relaxed the nerves, was neuroprotective, and used for pain, it also had antifertility affects. That didn't go in accordance with his future plans.
When your eyes started to droop, now having a routine of going to bed earlier, you only had energy to take the cups down and come back up to sleep.
Vil was waiting for you yet again to get into bed. He turned the lights off and kissed you one last time before you drifted off. Hoping you'll have a peaceful sleep before returning to the stress of Crowley and other chaos.
"Goodnight, my heart."
