Work Text:
Blood splattered on the ground with the beautiful color of the petals of blue roses.
Alexis hated and loved them at the same time.
Just like how the cause of the flowers treated him.
Michael Kaiser. The one who caused this stupid disease to him.
Alexis can't blame him.
He loves Kaiser more than his own life.
He follows Kaiser more than his own seniors.
He breathes Kaiser.
He's obsessed with Kaiser.
He couldn't bear it when he found out that Kaiser was more interested in Yoichi instead of him.
The disease didn't start there. It started way back at the past, but it seemed to get worst when Yoichi entered the picture.
He was a mess. Everything about his life is a mess.
His condition, his mental state, his mind, his heart and his physical state was all messy. It all went down hill because of Yoichi.
Yes. He'll blame Yoichi for everything.
It's impossible for Kaiser to do anything wrong, right?
Of course.
Kaiser never does horrible things.
Yet, he can't help but feel his heart and lungs ache whenever he saw Kaiser.
When Kaiser talks to him, he feels like throwing up.
He feels like coughing blood.
He feels like coughing the petals out.
But he can't.
Not infront of him. Not infront of Kaiser.
It happened today though.
"What the hell Ness?" Kaiser exclaimed in disgust when Alexis suddenly coughed out blood.... and petals.
Kaiser's face scrunched up in disgust and a pinch of curiosity when he caught a glimpse of the petals that Alexis quickly gripped in his hands.
Alexis smiled, but it was strained. He didn't even notice the left blood on the side of his pink lips.
"Kaiser?" Confusion surged to his face as Kaiser approached him with a disapproval look.
A surprised face replaced his former expression as he studies Kaiser wiping off the blood off of his lips using his favorite (?) handkerchief.
"When?"
Alexis already knew what Kaiser was gonna ask and there was no point to deny him, "A year ago? I think? The doctor said that it's a disease called–"
"Hanahaki. I know what it is Ness."
Ah.
"I thought that it was only a fairy tale. It seemingly isn't because of what i've witnessed just now."
How embarrassing...
"Who? Is it–"
"I promise it's no one important, Micha." Kaiser raised an eyebrow at the sudden change of names.
"It is an important matter. This disease of yours will get in our way." Kaiser's eyebrows furrowed upsettingly.
"I'll take care of it soon." He presented Kaiser a smile that seemed to convince him.
Yet, the latter didn't reply to him. Staring at him with a fury burning in his eyes that Alexis couldn't identify.
How odd...
How out of character.
