“Hey, Yun-Yun!” Xingqiu ran towards Chongyun who has his headphone on. “Yun-Yun!” He removes Chongyun’s headphones.
“What now Xingqiu?” Chongyun tries to grab his headphones back from Xingqiu who just pulls them away from him, he is happy that even him being busy listening to music. Xingqiu is there beside him.
“C’mon! Let’s go to the concert that you always wanted to go to!” Xingqiu shows two tickets in front of Chongyun’s face.
Chongyun’s face lit up and grab the two tickets. “How??” He asks and demands an explanation of how Xingqiu got these expensive tickets. “How did you get the tickets for DZKC??” He hugs his best friend for that.
“Yun did you forget something??” Xingqiu points to himself. “My brother has these extra tickets that he was supposed to give from his other friends who already have tickets to the concert. Of course, with a lot of begging, I have tickets for us and also for Hu Tao, Xiangling, and Yanfei.” He grabs one of the tickets.
“Thank you! Aunt Shenhe will forbid me from using my headphones but this is worth it!” Chongyun squeals hug Xingqui tightly and smile at the ticket.
Xingqiu looks at the screen, ‘Oh Yun-Yun…’ he watches Chongyun playing the drum from the band that he has formed along the way. He smiles at that his best friend full filling his dream of being in a band like the old idol group DZKC who unfortunately retired as they wanted to focus on their personal life. ‘Good to see you…’ he still hasn’t per-sue what he wanted because of college that he needed to finish along with Albedo who is a bartender while he is a waiter to gives out food and drinks.
“Zhenyu! Pick up this order and give it to table five!” Albedo calls Xingqiu as he puts the drinks and food on the counter ready to pick up.
Xingqiu nodded and grab the food and drinks to put in the tray. “Alright Calx, and please be ready for the food and drinks for table ten either it is me or Kazuha will pick it up.” He went away and serve the food and drinks to his friends who are sitting at table five.
“Hey, Xing!” Xiangling greeted as Xingqiu walks over to the table. She is with Hu Tao, and Yanfei, and with two people that Yanfei is in the same class.
“Xingqiu this is Kamisato Ayaka and Kuki Shinobu from my class. And also Heizou, but since you are working with him I guess there’s no need for his introduction.” Yanfei introduces Ayaka and Shinobu who just nod their head.
“Greetings to you two. Anyways I should better get going and-“
“Stare at the TV and watch your Yun-Yun?”
Xingqiu rolls his eyes at Hu Tao’s remark who laughs at it with Xiangling. He walks to the counter once again and grabs the other orders.
The TV plays a replay of Chongyun’s band playing, and Xingqiu knows about Chongyun’s schedule. Even though he may be busy with college and trying to get his degree while Chongyun is around the world with his band performing.
“Don’t worry Zhenyu, I’ll take this to the table. You and Albedo go to the back while the others get ready for their shift.” Kazuha grabs Xingqiu’s tray that he is holding.
“Thank you Kazuha,” Xingqiu went behind the counter just finishing up on the last order before going to the back rooms. He sat down on the provided chairs and table that their boss made for them.
Funny enough, the bar is owned by Diluc Ragnvindr who is formerly part of the DZKC idol group that split apart. Shame though, that the idol group ended fifteen years ago. Diluc came inside the room with Kaeya, who is part of the former idol group.
“Alright, here’s your payment.”
Xingqiu is now walking back to the dorms along with his friends and co-workers. He pulls out his phone and grabs the headphones that Chongyun last gifted him. ‘Hope you are safe…’ he wore the headphones and went to the playlist that Chongyun and he used to play when they were together.
He is walking inside the halls, saying good nights to the others as they go inside their room. “Should we finish that book for the contest?” Albedo asks Xingqiu who nodded.
“I’ll send you the Google Docs for that, I’ll see you tomorrow at the cafe Albedo. Good night.” Xingqiu unlocks his door.
“Good night Xingqiu.” Albedo went ahead to his dorm which is at the end of the hallway.
Xingqiu went inside and lock his door, he went to his room that is beside his roommate's dorm, Bennett. “Hey! You’re here early!” Bennett is sitting on the couch eating ramen that is a leftover from yesterday only to be reheated.
“Yeah! Boss let us go early today because of something.” Xingqiu went inside his room. His phone dinged and he grab it maybe it was from Albedo or someone. He smiles and opens the messaging app.

Chongyun: hey Xingqiu, it’s been a while.
Xingqiu: hey Yun-Yun!
Xingqiu: yeah! It’s been a while, but it’s alright! Glad that you are messaging me again!
Chongyun: yeah, the touring is hectic mostly from moving from the city to another city to where I am right now. It’s annoying that many places here don’t have any data or Wi-Fi to keep up with this day’s technology.
Xingqiu: HAHAHAHAH😂🤣
Xingqiu: what a pity!
Xingqiu: anyways- any news for me?
Chongyun: not that much since you mostly can see my life on any platform live streams or the concert. What about you? I haven’t heard anything from you in a while and I heard from Xiangling that you are a worker at a bar.
Xingqiu: part-time job! And you wouldn’t guess who my boss is!
Xingqiu: Diluc Ragnvindr
Chongyun: REALLY???
Chongyun: PLEASE TELL ME YOU NOT JOKING!!!
Xingqiu: surprise! I am not Yun-Yun~
Xingqiu: I work there with a few college students who need cash.
The two of them talked longer until they both video-chatted with each other.
