Jimin receives the news a day before it's made public. Hoseok was discussing it with him a few days back though, very vaguely, but he didn't know that he would do this so early.
A very unfamiliar ache spread through his heart.
So much, that within a few hours, he was laying his head down on his favourite hyung's lap.
"Jiminie? What's up? Anything wrong?" Hoseok tried to calm the situation, because he knew exactly what was wrong. And he also knew that his heart wasn't so strong to witness what was to happen next.
Hoseok heart skipped a beat as his thighs trembled. Once. Twice. Hoseok bent down and placed a kiss on Jimin's forehead. Words stuck up in his throat, and though he tried to calm him by words, he couldn't.
"How will I live without you hyung?"
Now Hoseok felt it meaningless to hold back his tears.
"Jiminie, don't say like this. Days will pass quickly, you'll see. Just as Jin hyung went. It's been 3 months already." He knew he was trying to explain himself how would he be away from his Jiminie, his love, his happiness, but showed it otherwise. Faking a big smile as Jimin still hadn't seen his hyung crying, Hoseok wipes away the younger's tears.
"The sooner I go, the sooner I'll come back.Think about that. And shortly after, you all will also go. We'll meet each other, you'll see."
Jimin kept quiet. He didn't have to say anything more to make Hoseok understand how he was breaking inside. From 15th of May, 2012 till that day, never a time had come when he had to be separated from Hoseok. Maybe at times they stayed at different places, but the timespan was short. Which is too long this time. Two years can't be too long, right?
Mind numb from pain, Jimin looked up at Hoseok. "Promise me you'll come back soon? I'll be waiting for you wherever I will be."
"Promise baby. I'll come back soon."
"Then kiss me now?"
Hoseok smiled. He would miss his kisses too. He scooped Jimin's neck in his arms and pulled him up and pressed his lips to his.
Feeling the wetness on Jimin's cheeks flow down more, Hoseok whispered, "I love you Jiminie. I'll come back soon, I promise."
