Work Text:
“Alex?”
“Yeah?”
“You said before that we're characters in a story.” Morgan stated.
“Yeah. What about it.”
“What kind of a story is it?”
“What?”
“Like, it’s kind of hard to see what kind of story it is when you’re in it, so, what kind of story are we living?”
“Uh…” Alex suddenly felt themself blush and tried, and failed, to suppress it, “Just a story of two villains, us, being friends.”
Morgan stared at them, then blinked, “You do realize you are the worst liar, right?”
“Uh, I mean, I’m not lying, it is.”
“There’s more to it isn’t there?”
‘Uh…” Alex scratched the back of their head nervously, “I mean, there’s Hawk, and Barnaby, and Ohio,” Alex started to ramble.
“I mean, if you don’t want to tell me, fine. Don’t try to think you’re fooling me.” Morgan said, getting up and walked towards the kitchen.
Alex let out breath, “It’s just about my obvious feelings for you,” they said under their breath.
“Again, you’re insulting my intelligence if you think I didn’t know.” Morgan said. Alex looked up and saw them leaning against the doorframe casually, with a smirk on their face, shaking their head.
“What?” Alex asked with wide eyes.
“You’re such an idiot,” Morgan then turned and walked down the hall towards their room then called back, “I love you too, you idiot.”
