"Do you have everything with you, Shinonome-kun?" Rui inquired as he packed the essentials for their vacation. Well, holiday isn't the right word because it was really just a one week school trip to a luxury beach resort in Okinawa with Miyamasuzaka Girls' Academy, a reward for both schools for winning the biggest highschool play collaboration in Osaka, seriously it was a huge event and people loved it, so Akito is hoping for another event like that next year round.
"Yep, just need my headphones and charger– speaking of which, where are they anyways…" Akito looked at the mountain of mess he created while packing for his belongings and essentials for the trip, and at the room itself, which was actually quite messy due to his roommate's robot scraps. "Should really clean this room up," Akito said while making his way to the mountain of well, his stuff that he trashed around and began searching through it while also cleaning it up. "Okay, got all that I need."
"You're done?" The taller boy asked while dragging his suitcase from the bathroom, what was Rui even searching in the bathroom anyways…
"Oya, you cleaned up your mess already?"
"Yep, since we won’t be here for a week you should also clean up those metal scraps of yours. Don't want cockroaches living here and making our lives worse." Rui only chuckled and went to clean up his own mess; seriously, if they were a bit more organized the room wouldn't even be a mess everyday without a doubt.
"What the hell are you guys taking so long for?"
The voice that belongs to none other Shiraishi An came from the door of his dorm, oh great, someone he doesn't need to see at whatever time it is currently. "The bus is leaving in like 6 minutes and you guys are still cleaning your room? I've told you already that you guys should've done that the night before!"
Honestly if there was a mute button Akito would've spam pressed it to shut one of the members of the committee up. "Yea yea, quit your blabbering it's only gonna get us to nowhere."
"I'm not sure about you, Shinonome-kun, but I'm done." Rui dragged his suitcase to the hallway of their dorm building, and Akito only stared at him before following suit and putting his own suitcase beside Rui's and checking their room again to make sure nothing had been forgotten. Thankfully, nothing appeared to have been left behind, and they proceeded to the school's main entrance, only to discover that there were only two buses left.
“What happened to the other buses? Shouldn’t there be more?”
An only sighed at the two and walked towards the bus she was assigned with. Not wanting to be left by his own bus, Rui quickly made his way towards his, therefore leaving Akito by himself trying to figure out why there were only two buses left. “Oi, otouto-kun! Are you gonna join us or what?” Akito stepped into the bus, his suitcase had already been loaded off into the bus trunk so he only had to bring his backpack with him. "Well, well look who finally decided to join us."
"Shut it, Akiyama, It's 6 in the morning. I don't need you teasing me right now."
Mizuki only giggled and ushered Akito to take a seat all the way at the back of the bus. Holy fucking shit, no way he was going to spend the rest of his time alone, at the back of the bus, without anyone bothering him. Not that he was complaining since he has space for himself, but it was really only to get them to the airport. Right, their school wasn’t the brightest.
He just hopes that an eighteen minute nap is alright for his body since waiting for the plane would definitely be a pain in the ass. The boy got himself comfortable then closed his eyes, he just hopes that he'll sit next to someone quiet in the plane, though he could only hope.
"Otouto-kun, if you don't mind being left alone in this bus you don't have to wake up!" has eighteen minutes passed just like that? The last thing Akito wanted to do was to get up from his very very comfortable world he had built for himself. He willed himself to actually wake up and get up so he could stretch before getting off of the bus. “Finally! Do you know how painful it is to wait for you?”
The taller of the two didn't say a word, only staring at them with false malice hid behind his stoicness. "You know well it's harder to wake Ena up, I'm basically a light sleeper." Mizuki scoffed at that, both of them were not light sleepers, such lies should not be spoken from the idiot's mouth.
"Whatever, now come on we don't wanna miss the plane!" The shorter one grabbed Akito's hand and pulled the boy with them (they both almost left the redhead's backpack) towards the exit of the bus. They thanked the bus driver for his service and for the fact that he already took out Akito and Mizuki's suitcases. "If you weren't so sleepy all the time we could've gone along with our group, instead we are being escorted to where everyone is waiting–"
Unfortunately for Mizuki, Akito wasn't listening to any of the words they were saying. It felt like a blur for the boy because now out of nowhere they're waiting with their friends, did he dissociate while walking there?
"You're up in the clouds, it seems, Shinonome-kun." Kohane –An's partner and one of his groupmate that he made to surpass RAD WEEKEND, he had to note something was missing– told him while smiling, said boy only scratches his neck as if it was itchy. Just lately he had been daydreaming about particularly nothing, a few weird scenes there and then but Akito can't really remember what they were.
That's a clear lie but hey, no one knows about it anyways. But, a pretty man? woman? Whatever their gender was, has (had) a beautiful smile, kind eyes that shone everytime they told him some weird stories, and their long blonde hair with pink (in Akito's opinion it was orange) fades. Truly a sight out of this world…
"...nome Akito? Are you there?" Ena waved her hands in front of her younger sibling's face, annoyed that her scoldings went unheard. "Ugh, whatever. You kids have fun dealing with his stupid ass!"
Rui only chuckled at his friends' behavior, going back to talk to Mizuki, An, and the others. Not like Akito cares since he had his mind somewhere else, more like someone not somewhere, and that someone probably doesn't even exist and they only exist in Akito's mind. One can only wish.
Which he doesn't! Because what the fuck is up with him, why is he thinking about this at 7 in the morning, the only thing he should be thinking was the fact that he's about to spend his time in a luxury beach resort with his friends.
"Get a grip, Shinonome, you shouldn't be thinking about this stuff anyways," he rubs his eyes tiredly, finally tuning into Ena shaking Mizuki for something, seriously why are they so loud this early.
"You're gonna get us all kicked out of the airport! Are you fucking insane?!" the pinkhead (?) only laughed at Ena's suffering, the others were also laughing with Mizuki. Yea he wants to get out, and preferably not kicked out from the airport because Ena was screaming her lungs off at this point.
She should stop, and he should stop her.
"Shut up, Ena. You're gonna get us all kicked out,"
"Sleep with one eye open, Amia!" damn he really cannot deal with all of this, the boy can't wait that this whole week is just gonna be him getting dragged into everything by his friends and sister. Just great, it's what he needs, really.
"Sometimes I don't understand why I have to be with you guys all the time…" Kohane giggled at his pessimistic words, giving him a supporting pat on the back. At least someone is nice enough to not scream at all times.
"Alright kids! Time for us to head towards our airplane gates!" with the teacher ushering everyone to follow them all, his group relatively went quiet since they're all busy telling their family that they're gonna board the plane soon.
And if Akito gets a sit with someone other than Nene or Rui, he's gonna lose his mind. Seriously, he can't take anymore of their screamings and laughing.
He ended up sitting in the middle of Ena and Rui.
Wow, that's just crazy! Really, just insane!
Akito couldn't find it in himself to even get angry, the best thing he could do was just situate himself in his seat and tried his best to sleep the whole flight off, which worked for an hour since Ena kept on trying to get him to wake up.
"I need you to get me a cup of coffee." what are these requests even? It's like she knows that the flight attendant won't get here until a couple of minutes later or whenever they'll even pass his seat, plus he's sitting in the middle seat.
"I'm not getting it for you, I'm squished between you and Rui, and there's no way I'm gonna go up to the flight attendant just for your coffee."
"Akito be a dear and get me that damn cup of coffee," the younger Shinonome only looked at his sister with annoyance written on his face. The boy sitting besides Akito was so lucky that he had headphones on so he can blissfully ignore everything that's happening.
"Ena, we only have an hour left, you can live without coffee." the girl only rolled her eyes going back to whatever was on her phone. Once again he can finally sleep his problems off, even if it was just for an hour, he can't wait for whatever would happen when they all got to Okinawa.
