AITA for not wanting to pray before sex?
My (1000+M) lover (1000+M, older) , used to be wonderful. Feisty, always up for sex, sometimes even more than I could handle. We got along really well (really, we did!!!), but one day he went on a self-discovery journey to get stronger.
He wrote me letters during that time, but I have no idea what happened - he came back extremely religious. My lover was never all that interested in religion, but now that's all he can talk about.
How his deity spoke to him, how he had visions of the future, how the deity was everything he could ask for. I'll admit it, I got jealous. I tried to accept it at first, but it became unbearable.
I reached my breaking point when the other day, I tried to initiate sex (we haven't done it in quite a while), and he stopped me and said "Let's pray first, so that [deity] can bless our union."
I had enough, I ended up snapping at him and saying some hurtful things about his religion. Now he refuses to talk to me until I apologize to the deity.
AITA?
