Work Text:
There’s nothing like waking up on a soft, fluffy bed sheet, feeling your limbs comfortably numb, and knowing the person you love the most is there to take care of you.
Shouto’s head lolls to the side. He smiles at the sight of Katsuki fixing his tie. “Good morning.”
Katsuki pauses his battle with the crumpled tie to spare him a glance. His gaze softens. It’s not much, but years of being this man’s side has shaped Shouto into an expert of everything Katsuki-related—slightest changes of his expression included.
“You’re awake early,” Katsuki notes.
“What time is it?”
“Half past six. We’ll check up with your doctor later tonight. There's still plenty of time to rest, Shortcake. Go back to sleep.”
“But I can’t,” Shouto replies petulantly.
Katsuki seems to fail to catch the drift. His eyes widening in concern. “How are you feeling? How’s your fever? God, tell me you didn’t forget to drink the med—”
“It’s not that,” Shouto interrupts fondly. “You’re just distracting. It’s you.”
“It’s me?”
“You’re pretty distracting.”
Katsuki visibly relaxes at that. “You’re such a little shit, Shortcake. You know that?”
“Mhm.” Shouto resists the urge to smirk. “But I’m yours though?”
“Fucking mine. Only mine.”
Katsuki knocks his knuckle to Shouto’s head gently.
And Shouto—
He thinks maybe getting bedridden is not too bad.
