Another boring ball, filled with pretentious pricks trying to flirt with me. Being the princess isn't so easy who could've tell huh, sure all the riches and luxury but what good are them if I can't really enjoy it at all. And here am I listening to some boring guy from a rich family being overly friendly with me and all I could wish for is being a normal girl.As the well dressed man is in the middle of his talk about something I'm sure it's very important, a very well known knight comes to my rescue cutting him off.
"Excuse me sir." The pink haired knight makes a slight bow with their head. "The princess is needed on the meetings hall, she's expected by the king's adivsor to discuss impending matters." They look at me giving a tiny smirk as I quickly understand what this is about.
"Oh right! I totally forgot, I really need to go Sir. I'm so sorry!" I bow before him as he starts to blush. "No please don't mind me, please go attend your matters and keep in mind what we talked about. We should pick this up once we meet again Princess Shiraishi" He took my hands to his, pulling it upwards trying to give it a slight kiss.But the knight cutted him off once again. "Cough Cough" they faked it "Sir we really need to go." They pick my other hand pushing me away from his grasp.
"Oh I'm so-sorry.." the man's face goes red by this gesture and so does mine.
Soon we were out of that stupid pretentious noble dancing hall, away from the unattended expectations other royal members as we alk through those exorbitant halls. Doors so tall you could fit a carriage pass us by as we walk, with their hand on mine they led the way lightly pushing me. I could feel my face ever so slightly red from their hard fingers, troubled by the never ending sword training that is expected from a Royal Knight such as Mizuki. Eventually I decided to break this awkward silence. "So where is this adivsor? I need to resolve ' impending matters ' don't I?" I said with joy on my voice, laughing it off a bit already predicting what they would say next.
"Oh right this way princess. We must not keep him waiting, we don't want any trouble now do we?~" They looked back at me, giving a warm smirk, making my heart fluster even more as I appreciated how beautiful they were. "I think this room should be vacant." The pink haired opened the door as to peak into it slightly. After confirming no one's about, they led me in, still hand on hand.
We arrived in another of those large noble rooms that I've never been to. You'd imagine living here for so long would mean I know the place well, but that couldn't be further from the through as I constantly felt like a stranger on my own house sometimes. With those judgmental eyes watching me everyday and watching every move from those people who'd serve my father, or sometimes even from my closest family. Who would've guessed the 18 year old princess who didn't have a fiancé would not be the best for the public image of the royal family.
"Hey Princess?~ You there?" Seeing how suddenly shut I became Mizuki taps my face in a playful way. "I'm here sorry! Back to the world of the living with Miss An Shiraishi." They let out a cute giggle beside me. "Also stop calling me Princess. You know that when is just us you can call me An." I walked slowly along the walls of the room, looking at the decorations, golden statues and paintings as far as the eye could see. "What is this room anyway?"
"I know An relax I'm just teasing you hehe~. As for the room, I'm not sure, I guess it was going to be an art exposition of some kind that your father would promote but never quiet got the time to do so. No one should bother us here." They walked right behind me slowly following my footsteps looking at all the incalculable pieces beside us.
Suddenly I stopped on my way, turning around fast as to surprise them helding their shirt firmly. "Bringing the gullible and ingenious Princess to a lonely art museum. How bold of you Knight what if others see us here?" Surprised with my gesture and words they instinctly took a step backwards.
"A-An! You shouldn't do stuff like that. I know I said no one would bother us here but I could always be wrong and-" I pushed them on a wall beside us, in between two art pieces I pinned them on place with my arm, getting closer.
"And what if someone'd come here and see us? You'd protect me wouldn't you? Isn't that why you became a knight in the first place for?" Getting closer to them, seeing their face going red not sure how to act was priceless to me. "Mi-zu-ki." I whispered their name on their ear softly. Their discofort was now clear on their face, as the pink knight didn't know what to say.
"Pri-Princess if you keep doing stuff like this I might get the wrong ideia you know." They tried to escape my gaze unsuccessfully as I kept staring into those sweet warm eyes.
"Oh please Mizuki. Take a hint already would you." I closed the gap between us pulling them closer by the shirt. Locking our lips on a tender but quick kiss, feeling their face so close to mine felt like heaven as I appreciated just how beautiful they were.
We broke the kiss soon after. Their face was priceless, filled with confusion but with also happiness as if they've been waiting this for a long time.
"Oh Princess An... You're so beautiful." They caressed my face softly.
As soon as I let go of their shirt, they came closer yet again for this time a longer kiss as I got lost in their arms. I felt so happy after such a long time finally being able to muster up courage felt so good and being loved back like this, there was no better feeling in the world I was sure.
After sometime our kiss broke up as we were just there, staring at each other speechless "This could be our little secret Mizuki you know. I really love you and I won't let some stupid noble get in between us, but I think for the time this would be for the better for the time being." They kindly stroked my hair as we were still in each other's embrace. "I agree Princess.. For as painful as holding this feelings back for a bit longer may be, for now I agree is for the best."
"Oh I'm sure strong Knight Mizuki will be able to hold back a bit won't them?" I teased them yet again. "Or I'll have to be strong for the both of us."
"Oh Princess An... I'm afraid that might be the case." They closed the gap between us yet again, meeting my lips for one last time.
