"Binghe. Didn't I tell you to stop bothering your Shibo? He's getting tired of your antics."
"Yes, Shizunnn..." Luo Binghe and Shen Qingqiu walked down Cang Qiong Mountain. "He's always tired of me though."
Shen Yuan sighed and looked ahead. Ning Yingying and Ming Fan were unable to accompany him as they were already gone with the other disciples of Cang Qiong Mountain. It was just those two, but he was getting bored of laying in bed all day.
The two reached the village after their extremely short conversation. It had been the same village that the two first completed their first mission together after Shen Yuan's transmigration. They walked around with only a few coins, looking for something, anything, to do. Luo Binghe stopped at a road-side shop, looking at the mantou.
"Shizun! You love mantou, right?"
Shen Yuan's face grimaced as he thought of his previous life. "Yes, buy one and bring it over."
Luo Binghe immediately bounced over to the street vendor and bought a red bean bun. "Shiiizunnn!" He held the bun in two hands and fed his Shizun. "Is it good?"
"Mnn."
In his excitement, he thrusted the bun back into Shen Qingqiu's mouth. "Luo-cugh!" Shen Yuan's life flashed before his eyes.
A fit of violent coughs erupted from Shen Qingqiu. Luo Binghe quickly rubbed his back to help clear his throat. "..You! Idiot!"
Luo Binghe's face sank as his Shizun scolded him over and over again. Just as expected, his eyes began to fill with tears. Just because Shen Yuan had expected it, doesn't mean it wasn't just as heart-wrenching. "Shizun...Binghe is an idiot..."
Son of a bitch, wasn't he doing this on purpose? They both had tears in their eyes, one for a good purpose, the other just to poke fun!
"Shizun...there was something over there. Should we...go check it out...?"
Shen Qingqiu threw a bone-chilling glare at Luo Binghe. "Should we?" Luo Binghe's eyes began to brim with tears again but to be shed because of Shen Qingqiu looking at him oddly. "Hurry up."
He began to speed towards Shen Qingqiu while dramatically wiping his eyes, deliberately for his Shizun to see. He was just the greatest actor, wasn't he??
The sounds of footsteps slowed, turning into a slow paced search. Luo Binghe listened closer for anything.
Jingle.
Wasn't this the sound of bells? Shen Qingqiu had heard it as well.
"Hah! You seriously think your brute named demon soldiers can beat my Shizun?"
"You wretched bitch!" That was followed by the sound of something being splashed against another person.
"Is this how you act towards someone? Really, unbelievable!"
Why, wasn't that Ning Yingying's voice?! Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe shared the same look and rushed towards the sound.
"Ning Yingying!" Shen Qingqiu called out for the girl soaked in lukewarm tea.
Her head whipped in the direction of Luo Binghe and Shen Qingqiu in the doorway. It was sight to behold, really. Ning Yingying's usually well-kept hair was splattering tea on the floor, Ming Fan desperately trying to dry her off. Not to mention Sha Hualing, standing haughtily, as if she had done nothing wrong.
"Ning Yingying, you silly girl! Why go around purposefully aggravating those of the demon race..." Shen Qingqiu quickly rushed to her side and glared at Sha Hualing. She continued to grin, oblivious to the mess she made.
"Shizun.."
"Oh shut up, Binghe. You know I didn't mean you," Shen Qingqiu's exasperated sigh echoed throughout the room.
Luo Binghe slowly picked up his feet and waddled over to Sha Hualing, whom he picked up by the collar. "Shizun, I'll be back."
Shen Qingqiu merely nodded and Luo Binghe left dejectedly.
"Shizun?"
"Yingying-er, what you said was childish."
"I apologize, Shizun. But I was just-!"
Shen Qingqiu's eyes landed firmly on hers. "Come now. We'll go back to Cang Qiong Mountain and get you a change of clothes. With recent weather, you may just get sick."
"Yes, Shizun..." Ning Yingying replied.
"Shizun, I seriously tried to stop them!"
"Yes, yes. I applaud you for that but, Ming Fan, please, go take a shower when we get back. Yingying-er doesn't stink half as much as you do, even with tea over her body."
"Yes, Shizun!"
Shen Qingqiu settled in the bed nestled next to the wall. As his head lay to rest, he turned to his side to see an obediently sitting Luo Binghe.
"Shit! Luo Binghe! Stop scaring me like that!"
"Hiii Shizunn..." his sappy way of greeting Shen Qingqiu left him with no reason for anger.
"Take off your shoes and come here, Binghe."
He listened and took off his shoes. "Shizun, I found this down there when I was putting Sha Hualing to her dungeon."
He pulled out a crystallized red butterfly. Shen Qingqiu immediately took it into his hands. "It's beautiful, Binghe. Where exactly was this?"
"...It was displayed in Zhuzhi-lang's old room."
"BINGHE! Do you feel no shame stealing from a deceased man?"
"He's dead anyway...what's he gonna do..." Luo Binghe's face pouted as he looked away. "I took it for you Shizun. I thought you liked butterflies. You always smiled when I was playing with them when I was younger."
"Hahhh...that was because I saw you with them."
As soon as Shen Qingqiu finished saying that, a huge grin appeared Luo Binghe's face.
"Shizun! I love you too!"
"You...whatever. Get into bed and go to sleep. I'm exhausted."
"You're not going to reward me...?"
"For what? You didn't do anything."
"Not even a kiss..?"
A sigh followed Shen Qingqiu's breath. He lay down on the bed as Luo Binghe stayed seated by the edge of the bed. He heard Luo Binghe set his face down on the bed and could already imagine the pout on his face.
He quickly turned around and kissed him quickly on the cheek. "Are you coming to sleep anytime soon? If not, you can leave to your own quarters."
"SHIZUNNN!"
