Jimin soared through the sky, arms pressed closely to his side. He hated flying at night, but according to the intermediate angels, it was easier to spot your human at night. He scanned the houses below him. His sharp eyes saw a slight golden glow emanating from a house a few miles away. Changing the angle of his wings he landed safely in his human's yard. Going through the walls, he found himself right in the baby's room.
A large smile grew on his face when seeing his human. He was gorgeous, adorable plump cheeks and plump lips slightly opened. Jimin squealed and congratulated himself on getting such a cute child. He pulled out his cellphone from the pocket of his jeans, pulling up the file sent to him from the company.
Name: Jung Jungkook

"Who the fuck are you?" Jimin tore his eyes away from his human to face another guardian angel. The angel had soft looking platinum blonde hair, and pretty pink lips set into a scowl. He stood around the same height as Jimin, but the slight purple glow he had identified him as a veteran angel.
"I'm Jimin." Jimin said, somewhat put off by the other's tone.
"Don't play smart with me, amateur," Jimin winced when he realized that his baby blue glow gave him up as a amateur angel. "I want to know what you're doing to my kid."
"Your kid?" Jimin's eyebrows furrowed. "I'm sorry, but-"
"Yeah, you should be. Newbies that get their kid wrong are frowned upon you know." The other said.
"But," Jimin stressed his but, reminding himself to be respectful to his superior. "I'm pretty sure this is my kid."
The other angel scoffed and pulled out his own cellphone, pressing numbers with unnecessary force.
"Yeah, it's Yoongi. Uh huh. No some kid showed up saying that my kid is his. Yeah, Jungkook. Uh huh. What? Hoseok you incompetent fuck. What do you mean it's Namjoon's fault, leave the guy alone." The other angel hangs up with another scowl.
"So apparently, they fucked up, and we're assigned the same kid." The angel ran his fingers through his hair. "So I guess we'll just have to deal with each other. My name's Yoongi."
"Jimin."
"I know."
Jimin wondered if waiting six months for this was really worth it.

"Watch our kid, Jimin." Yoongi said, pointing to the black haired boy who was tossing a ball up in the air.
"I'm not complaining, but I just don't get why when you have perfectly functioning wings yourself." Jimin grumbled.
"Because I'm a veteran, meaning I've taken care of more kids than you have fingers." Jimin scoffed before hovering above Jungkook.
The boy threw his ball up in the air a few times more, awkwardly catching the large ball in his small hands. Jimin started to get bored. He didn't understand the simple workings of the young child's mind. His eyes wandered to Yoongi. Yoongi and his blonde-as-the-sun-hair. Yoongi and his pink pink lips, Yoongi and his horrified expression, what?
Jimin turned to see Jungkook wandering into the streets, chasing after his ball. A car approached in the distance, and Jimin knew Jungkook wasn't tall enough to be seen. His mind raced. He couldn't exactly go in and swoop up Jungkook in his arms. He didn't realize what had happened until a gust of wind blew his bangs back. He looked to see Yoongi on the other side of the street, flapping his large wings. The gusts made Jungkook's ball roll in his direction. Jungkook picked up his ball, and went back into the safety of his lawn, seconds before the car zoomed past. Jimin let out a relieved sigh, trying to ignore the glare Yoongi sent him.
"What the fuck was that? Don't you have any brains? If I wasn't here Jungkook would've died." Yoongi was furious, and Jimin would've been too if he was in his shoes.
"I had a panic attack." Jimin tried to defend himself meekly.
"Panic attack or no panic attack, a guardian angel's job is to watch over his human and make sure he doesn't run into the fucking streets and gets hit by a car." Yoongi hissed. His wings opened and he flew to the top of the house, earphones firmly plugged in.

Jimin's heart broke at the sight of the nine year old. Fresh blood dripped down his calf, and hot tears dripped onto his thigh. Jungkook had fallen off his bike and was now crying on the steps of his house.
"Get his parents." Yoongi ordered. Jimin quickly ran through the door, and knocked loudly on the window from the inside.
"I swear if it's those darn kids again, Jungkook?" Jungkook's mother's eyes widened as she rushed out the door.
"Mommy it hurts when I touch it and owww!" Jungkook's howls pierced through the air.
"Don't touch it sweetie." Jungkook's mother said, picking up Jungkook with noted difficulty. Yoongi and Jimin trailed behind the two.
"Ouch, that looks like it hurts." Jimin winced when Jungkook's mother put a cotton swab over the wound, cleaning it. Jungkook's howls and cries just grew louder and louder.
"I've seen worse." Yoongi shrugged, and Jimin wondered how he managed to deal with him for the past nine years.

Jimin thought nothing could hurt worse than psychical pain, but he was wrong. He watched his child cry, hot tears rolling down his cheeks, and a flower crumpled in his grasp. Jungkook had been rejected by a girl. She was a pretty girl named Ryu Soojung that Jungkook had had a crush on for two weeks prior to his confession. Soojung had rejected him and left Jungkook crying.
"It's a natural passage of life." Yoongi had shrugged. "And I would know."
Jimin still felt sorry for the kid, but brightened up when he saw another boy approach him. He had a head of shocking orange hair and a blank expression.
"Hey." He said in a squeaky kid voice.
"What?" Jungkook sniffled.
"Are you okay?"
"Do I look okay?"
"No, that's why I asked."
"What do you care?"
The boy seemed at a loss of words, choosing to draw small circles in the dirt with his shoe.
"Come on. Come on." Jimin egged him on, hoping that he would make Jungkook's day better. He ignored the weird stare Yoongi threw at him.
"I want to be your friend." The other boy shrugged. "My name is Taehyung."
Jungkook looked up slightly. "Jungkook." He muttered. Taehyung smiled widely, and Jimin found himself punching the air in joy. And he swore he saw a smile on Yoongi's face too.

Jimin found a proud smile and a tear rolling down his face when Jungkook finally had his first kiss. After being friends with Taehyung for the past four years, Taehyung had decided to be a man and tell Jungkook his feelings. Jungkook had avoided Taehyung for a month before finally coming to terms with the fact that he was gay. And now, as Jungkook pressed his lips against Taehyung's behind the school, Jimin couldn't help but whoop and holler.
"You look like a moron." Yoongi told him.
"I agree," Seokjin, Taehyung's guardian angel, said. Jimin ignored the two, he was allowed to be happy.

Jimin couldn't help but sob as Yoongi held him as Jungkook tossed his graduation cap into the air with a bright bunny-like smile. After many tears, stress, and nights spent on obscure websites when he should've been writing his essay, Jungkook had graduated. He had been accepted to the same school as Taehyung with a scholarship, and Jimin couldn't have been more proud. He even thought he saw a tear escape from Yoongi during Jungkook's valedictorian graduation speech. His effort was finally paying off, and on his birthday no doubt. Jimin watched as Jungkook was engulfed in hugs and kisses, and wished that he could smother him in affection as well. Jungkook was pushed into his mother's car and the blue car drove off.
Jimin spread his wings to follow the car. The thermals were absolutely lovely today, and he couldn't wait to fly.
"Jimin?"
"Tell me when we're in the air, Yoongi. Thermals are amazing today." Jimin smiled, then frowned when he caught glimpse of Yoongi's expression. "What's wrong?"
"It's over now. It's time to go back already."
"What do you mean? Jungkook's only eighteen."
"Yeah, he's eighteen. Which means that he no longer needs his guardian angels." Yoongi placed an arm on Jimin's shoulder. "Didn't they tell you this in school?"
"So, I'll never see Jungkook again?" Jimin's voice cracked and tears flowed from his eyes.
"You'll see him if your next kid has Jungkook in his life." Yoongi said. Jimin's heart broke at those words. Was this what being a guardian angel was? Raising a kid then having to leave them, only to start the cycle all over again?
Jimin spread his wings to fly. He was going to enjoy those damn thermals, at least those would cheer him up.

Jimin stared at the young boy who reminded him so much of Taehyung. He had been assigned Jimin in the middle of his life, due to his previous guardian angel passing away. The kid had it hard, growing up in an orphanage was tough, but-
"Who the fuck are you?" Jimin smiled when he saw the familiar head of blonde hair.
"No fucking way," Yoongi smiled, examining the green glow Jimin had, marking him as an intermediate. "Hoseok, you fucking moron."
"No, he's not. I was hoping I would see you again." Jimin smiled before pressing his lips against Yoongi's, smiling when Yoongi kissed him back with the same amount of tenderness. The door opened and a portly woman dragged Baekhyun downstairs. Yoongi and Jimin trailed behind, hands intertwined. Jimin felt his heart stop when he saw Jungkook. Jungkook looked older, and more handsome. He squatted to Baekhyun's eye level and spoke to him softly.
"He looks like you, Tae. He's absolutely perfect." Jimin smiled when Taehyung nodded cheerfully, hands slinking around Jungkook's waist. Jungkook smile was blinding when he, Taehyung, and Baekhyun left hand-in-hand, Jimin and Yoongi trailing behind.
