Work Text:
Starring at himself in the mirror of the bathroom of his family's home.
No one but him was there at the moment his parents were out on patrol for The Night Terrors, a group of villain the roam the cities at night and break into houses when the families have gone to sleep leaving them all defenseless, some of those families get murdered in their sleep, some have their children kidnapped and others get robbed of their valuables. But that's what the Proheros are there for which meant Kerrisuki's parents.
Kerrisuki's sister Sumire, someone he was once all for having her around. He was happy to have as a sibling, he had always wanted a sibling as a small child but after a few months of her being around he noticed his parents seeming to have less and less time for him and become more and more absent minded about him even though he was a pretty loud child. Once he turned 13, he realized that Sumire was grabbing their all parents' attention and he hated it, he decided that he hated her. 'It's her fault. She is the reason they forget about me.' All throughout Middle school Kerrisuki would never do his homework or most of his school, making fights with other students in during classes and outside, often come home late, from hangout at the park with friends after school and even when his friends went home he wouldn't leave until an hour after it got dark, always turning off his mobile so his parents would call him to come home. This led him to be getting in trouble and getting the attention he wanted. Although it was the wrong kind of attention needed for a positive home life.
When High School come around, with wanting to be a hero for his own reasons different to just wanting to because his parents are, Kerrisuki strives to turn around and do well in this next step in his life and do everything to be successful which in his head would get his parents attention again 2nd in the physical entrance exam and 5th in the written exam he made it in with flying colours.
The day he got his letter of acceptance and hearing the good news the both were even too busy to listen, going back to his bedroom that day he packed to leave for school earlier then he would in middle school. Throughout the first half of the year he seemed to be one of the top 5 students in his class, made some great friends and one seemingly annoying Dormmate.
The UA Sports festival come around really pushing everyone to their limits he did more than his best ultimately wining the event. Not even a pat on the head as congratulations from mama or to show he was for his son had won it like he had.
Even though he was doing well in class and won The UA Sports Festival, not once was he acknowledged for his efforts. So here he is. Decided to do something that would truly get their attention. Starring at the mirror blankly with tears running down his face in hand an electrical shaver. "If this doesn't get their attention, then..." For a moment he thought, was this really worth it. Shaking his head raised the shaver to his hair and began to shave it all off every last bit of it off.
By the end of shaving off his hair, Kerrisuki looked up in the mirror again thinking what he should do now. In his refection he could see a ghostly figure staring at him in the corner for a moment he as startled, when he realized it was just an illusion of his grandma Mitsuki.
She was shaking her head at him in disappointment of his actions. 'I am sorry Grandma Suki.' He thought as he reached in his shirt pulling out the dog tags his parents had gotten him for his birthday a few years ago.
He always held on to it as a symbol of their love and that he knew they still loved him despite being forgotten about all the time. But now this dog tags placed next to the sink lost their hope from him. "This is where it belongs now. The only one I keep close to my heart is Tayuga now." He says aloud to himself as he seen that Mitsuki had now disappeared from his view in the mirror. After starring at himself a little more in the mirror, he had a thought.
"Tayuga." The thought of the boy made him blush. "I kissed him in front of millions of people." Thinking back to the UA sports Festival it was the time he had confessed his feeling towards his best friend. Now that he had that thought he decided to go to him. "I'll ask Tayuga to come with me." He looked up to the ceiling nodding his head to his thoughts. Rushing quietly out of the bathroom he went around his bedroom to the closet on the other side, moving around searching for a bag throwing in cloths and essentials.
As he rushed around thinking he was just done. He thought if he should leave a note to tell his parents that he was safe where he was going. But decided against it. Who knows why they would care. "Sumire is all they care about now." He spoke to himself as he zippered the bag, leaving room with a locked door behind him.
Then going down stairs and out the front door without another thought running through the streets of which he lived. Careful to stay in the shadows of the backstreets so he wouldn't run into some of the hero's stationed around the neighborhood on lookout for Villains at this time of the night. Surprisingly he was able get closer to the city before the sound of something quizzing by startled him stopping for a second to realize someone flue by him. By then they were gone, but just as he run faster through the streets another body went pass him, the world around him slowed down as the body noticed him for a second the two making eye contact.
His eyes may have been deceiving him, but Kerrisuki thought he had seen that mysterious body going by on watch was his Papa. Kerrisuki didn't get much of a good look at them but a bit of red sure did convince him that it was indeed his Papa Eijirou. That thought sent a shiver down his back if it wasn't also for the fact the wind gushing by his exposed body, his The amber street lights bright and rushed right by his figures as he was ran thought the street and the other body by him had gone.
In the direction of his parents' house, which only gave him more the fear that his parents were on their ways home to find a destroyed room from his earlier anger fit and a bathroom with his hair everywhere. That wasn't his concerns the thoughts of his family away his mind stride to Tayuga again. Taking a turn down one of the streets, it began to get dimmer as the glow from the moon was the only source of light that was left. Not stopping for a minute as he looked back after the silence was disturbed by a mysterious patter then rustle. His mind buzzed as his heart beat also began to increase thinking to himself. 'What was that noise? There can't be anyone following me right? That can't be there is no one out in the streets at this time.'
Kerrisuki's heart began to thump louder in his chest, that rise and fall as his breath varied the faster he ran. Now not feeling the ground shock with each and every heaving step.
Later then his wanted he arrive to the streets of where his best friend Tayuga had lived. The release of his of pressure and fear as he was close to the boy, rushed thought out his body. Still a little on edge Kerrisuki didn't waste time on being relieved, he just ran down the street until his friends house had come into sight. Speeding up Kerrisuki took a run jump to the veranda, just outside a window he recognized as the window to Tayuga's bedroom.
After jumping up his hands caught the edge of the low hanging platform, he used all of his upper body strength to pull himself up and made his way over the railing. Out of breath he stood peering into the window looking in the see the boy at his desk, the sight of his crush made the corner of his mouth curl up. Kerrisuki, stumbled over to the window, legs shaking from the surge of adrenaline still running through him.
As he got to the window he fell to the wall beside it. Holding himself up using the wall as a form of support, as he felt he was going to collapse from the energy had been drained from his body. Kerrisuki reached out his fist to gently know on the glass. A small startled squeak from the other side notified him that the other male in the room had heard the knock from where he sat. Poking his head out from behind the wall he gave a small wave to Tayuga as he waddled over to the window undoing the lock from the inside and letting it swing open to meet face to face with the other.
"Kerrisuki?"
