“You do realise this doesn’t happen often, right? Back on Earth, at least.”
“Yes.” Seven tucks the thermal blanket closer around both her and Raffi’s legs. She turns her head to the sky, watching snow drift onto the sand. The ocean laps at the translucent dusting, taking it away into the water.
“Then again, many things wouldn’t have happened if we stayed on Earth.”
“I wouldn’t have met you,” Raffi agrees.
“We wouldn’t be… us . In a way.” Seven shivers as the wind picks up.
“Funny what you find in space, huh?”
“Weird and somehow beautiful at the same time.”
