"Wu Xie, how come after a few days of being left alone you already have a new scar?"
Oh no, he sounds really indifferent, which is bad.
The best puppy look and deary eyes I can muster when I say "Oh, hi Xiaoge" are those. Many said it worked, but they were mistaken; it doesn't. He appears enraged.
You know, it happens frequently in the industry we work in, the usual folks wanting to kill me.
He is now staring at me as though I said the worst thing imaginable. Think quickly on how to turn things around because Wu Xie is meant to be the group's brain.

I hear a sigh; oh I am spared and then he looks at me and yup I am not. The lecture or more importantly the two black orbs are going to stare at me and make me reflect my mistakes. I feel like a kid again.
“No, wait this isn’t my fault, you left me alone and I had to find answers related to …”
Xiao ge just flinches and deflates.
No wait that wasn’t supposed to happen, okay be angry instead, anything but that face.
Salvage the situation, I envelop him in a hug.
“Xiao ge, I am okay. Alright. Don’t worry about me. You know it will be just another collection of the scars I have.” He just goes very still in my hands.
“Wu xie, promise me” he pulls back and looks at me in the eye. “Whatever happens, just don’t do anything that will hurt you.”
My heart swells and beats for this man. He had been so worried recently because of my condition but now I am cured and he seen a new scar that could have taken my life.
“Xiaoge, I can’t promise you this.” I can see him trying to voice his thoughts out but I need to say my words to him carefully.
“I will look after myself, but you know I am prone for dangerous situation to land at myself even if I am just standing here.”
“I will protect you.” These words he always delivers so selflessly to me. Sometimes I don’t think I deserve his undoubtable trust in me, or his life.
“Xiao ge, listen to me. I will be here with you, like your with me but I can’t promise you something that I can’t fulfill it would be lying to you. I don’t want our relationship to be ever like that but I will be careful”
“Wu xie, promise me.”
“Of course, I will Xiao ge.” And lean closer and kiss his forehead. We just remain like that for a few seconds just knowing we both here in the present together.
“Come on, Xiao ge. Let’s go. Li Cu will have our heads if we are late, damn that kid is so like me. Was I that annoying to when I was young.”
But Xiao ge looks at me and then starts to leave.
“Wait Xiao ge, I wasn’t that stubborn was I. XIAO GE”
Whatever happens in this moment, we are together and that’s all I wanted.
