He's stuck in a slump. Of course he is, he's akaashi. Wait, he's akaashi. Why is he in a slump? Yeah. Why is the great mighty akaashi stuck in a slump?
He ruffled his hair and plopped his head down on the desk in defeat.
The daylight’s starting to turn into dusk. The orange hues shine onto his dejected face through the window blinds. He sighs, the orange blending perfectly with the volleyball figure on his writing desk. The words on the computer seems to spiral into a circle, making his head spin. He shuts his eyes, trying to regain what’s left of his spinning world.
10 seconds.
30 seconds.
1 minute.
5 minutes.
He finally lifts his head up. Taking a deep breath, Akaashi places his fingers on to the keyboard tentatively, and starts typing. Maybe it was the deep breathings, or maybe it was that fact that he got a break. Whatever the reason is, Akaashi is glad that he passed the writer’s block. After all, this is his career. He has to do this, atleast to keep a roof above this head of this.
He’s finally writing something. The golden haze dies down gradually, replacing itself with a twilight dusk. The trees outside his flat finally start swaying, a sign that it’s getting late. The only thing that our main character doesn’t realise is that from the corner of his window, a key finally unlocks the empty flat next to his.
