Luz was having breakfast at the Owl House as she was getting ready for another day at Hexside, and Eda and King were there with her as they hung out together before she left.
Eda: “So kiddo, how are you finding Willard's class?”
Luz: ”It's going pretty great so far. Today Willard is having a special guest in class while we all break into teams.”
Eda: ” I think I know who you'll pick for your teammate Luz.” (ended with a grin)
Luz: “Of course!”
King: “So Luz, how do you like this Willard guy?
Luz: He's great King. I'm glad he's loved by the students and the staff at the school, because I heard he's not very well respected by the coven system for the most part, since they see him as someone who sympathizes with wild witches.
Eda: Lucky for him he's a very law abiding citizen, and his family name is enough to make the majority of the population trust him. If Belos thought of putting him in the Conformatorium, a lot of the population would get upset. He's seen as a hero by almost everyone, given how many he's saved and all the good he's done for the Isles. His family always did the same.
King: I'm honestly surprised you were hesitant to have him visit the Owl House when he wanted to come visit here.
Eda: (looking guilty) I'm not sure if he should be around me, given I fear if he was seen with me, it could help tarnish his reputation. I still don't want him or his family to have issues for associating with me.
Luz: It seems to be there's more to it than just that Eda.
Eda: We'll talk about this some other time kiddo. You should really finish your breakfast, and start getting ready for school.
Luz: You're right!
Luz finished up her breakfast, went upstairs to brush her teeth and freshen up fro school, and then she rushed back down as Eda, King, and Owlbert waited for her to fly her to school.
Hooty: Have a great day at school Luz.
Luz: Later Hooty!
Luz boarded Owlbert, and Eda flew her to school. Luz thought to ask Eda more about Willard, but didn't want to stir any sad emotions in Eda given all she's been going through since losing her magic, and how Eda's been having a more difficult time since then. She was at least happy with her Harpy Eda form, but was still plagued by her curse. They arrived at Hexside, and Amity, Willow, and Gus were there waiting to greet Luz as she got off Owlbert.
Luz: Hey everyone!
Amity: (overjoyed) Luz! (hugs Luz who returns the hug)
Luz: Hey there ermosa.
Amity: Hey Eda!
Eda: Morning Boots! Morning Willow and Goops!
Willow: Hey Eda!
Gus: Morning! (to himself) I wish she'd just call me by my real name.
Eda: Have a good day at school Luz.
King: Later!
Luz: Bye you two! I'll see you after school.
Eda: (smiles) Have a great day kiddo. (flies off)
Amity: So, are you ready for first period Luz?
Luz: I sure am. Let's go guys.
They all headed inside the school, put away some of their belongings in their lockers, got their items for first period, and walked into first period to be greeted by some of their other friends.
Issac: Morning amigos!
Gus: Hey Issac!
Viney: Morning Willow! Morning Gus! Are we still on for flyer derby practice after school?
Willow: We sure are Viney. It's just a shame we're one teammate down.
Viney: Any luck finding someone to replace... “Caleb”?
Willow: Not yet. But hopefully I will soon.
Willard: Good morning class!
Everyone: Good morning Mr. Willard!
Willard: I hope you are all prepared for class today students. Today we will be doing a group exercise where we will pair into groups of two, and we will also have a special guest today. I know he will be exciting for you all. I know you'll love him Viney.
Viney: I look forward to it sir.
Willard: Now then....
Before Willard could finish, Principal Bump started to make an announcement to the school.
Principal Bump: Good morning students! My apologies for the sudden interruption, but could Amity Blight please come to my office? That is all.
Amity: May I be excused Mr. Willard?
Willard: Of course you may Ms. Blight. Students! With one classmate out for now, I will have to postpone today's planned assignment.
Amity: Sorry everyone!
Willow: It's not your fault Amity.
Willard: On the positive side class, we have someone new joining first period, and she will be arriving right now.
Skara: (comes inside) Morning everyone!
Willow: (happy) Skara!
Willard: Skara will be joining first period, and only arrived a little late because she had to clear it with the Bard Professor that she'll now be spending first period here.
Skara: I'm so happy to be with my flyer derby teammates.
Gus: We're happy to have you too Skara.
Willard: You may head to Principal Bump's office now Amity.
Amity: I'll try to not take too long sir.
Willard: No worries! Take your time Amity.
With that, Amity left Willard's class, and headed over to Bump's office. She opened the door, and headed inside.
Principal Bump: Good morning Ms. Blight!
Amity: Good morning sir!
Principal Bump: Please take a seat Amity.
Amity: Thank you sir!
Principal Bump: I just called you in here since I know I can trust you with an important favor.
Amity: You certainly can sir. How may I be of service to you today?
Principal Bump: We will be having a new student joining our school soon, and I was hoping you could spend the day giving him a tour of the school, since this is his first time ever attending a school. You may come in now.
Inside walked a young witchling with red hair, purple eyes, and wearing a plain Hexside outfit since he still did not have his track colors.
Principal Bump: Amity, this is Trent Boggs. He may be young, but he is a very skilled witchling. He gave a very impressive performance on the placement exam, and despite only being ten years old, I have decided to place him in the more advanced classes.
Trent: Thank you sir.
Principal Bump: Trent! This is Amity Blight. She is one of our most gifted and hard working students, and she will serve as your tour guide for today.
Amity: Hello Trent! You certainly are a very handsome little boy. It's very nice to meet you.
Trent: (looking worried) Sir! I....
Principal Bump: No need to worry Trent. You'll be in good hands. Thank you so much Amity.
Amity: I wont let you down sir.
Principal Bump: Enjoy your tour Trent. If you've decided which coven track you'd like to be placed in at the end of the day, I will give you your track colors. Now then, have a splendid day you two.
Amity and Trent walked out of Bump's office, and Trent was looking worried as he stood there with Amity who was about to give him his tour.
Amity: (smiles) Okay Trent! Let's get started then. (notices Trent looking worried) No need to feel afraid Trent. You'll feel happy to attend such a prestigious school.
Trent: I'm not worried about the school. Well it's..... I'm afraid it's you.
Amity: (confused) Me? What about me?
Trent: I heard that you weren't a very nice person.
Amity: I can assure you Trent that I am not a mean person. (extends her hand) If you give me a chance, I'll show you who I truly am.
Trent: (hesitant) Okay! (takes Amity's hand)
Amity: (smiles) Great! Now then, let's get started with your tour. I know you'll be happy here, and I can tell you'll make a great new addition to our school.
Trent: Thank you!
The two went off, and Amity began to show Trent around the school. She brought him over to the Abomination homeroom.
Amity: Of course you know that you pick a coven track to join at school. Mine is the Abomination track which you can tell by my pink sleeves and pant legs. One of the benefits of Abomination magic is that you can help make new friends.
Trent: I knew that, since that's the track my older brother was in when he came here. I also have some relatives who are Abomination witches.
Amity: That's interesting to note. What kinds of magic are you most interested in Trent?
Trent: The two I love the most are Beast Keeping and Plant magic.
Amity: (smiles) Then I'll take you to the Beast Keeping homeroom next. (they both head over to the Beast Keeping homeroom) Beast Keeping is also a great form of magic for making new friends, since you can tame and befriend many types of animals.
Trent: I know! I've befriended many animals in the woods and at the Bonesborough Beast Shelter.
Amity: That's great!
Trent: Principal Bump thought so too.
Amity: Here we are. (they had arrived at the Beast Keeping homeroom)
Trent: This place looks awesome.
Viney: Hey Amity!
Amity: Hey Viney! Sorry I had to duck out of first period. I'm giving this new student a tour of the school.
Viney: Not a problem Amity. (notices Trent) You like gryphons kid?
Trent: I sure do. Can I pet her?
Viney: (smiles) Sure! Puddles is a good girl, and she's very friendly.
Trent: Hello Puddles! It's nice to meet you. (pets Puddles as she licks Trent's face)
Viney: So, what are your favorite animals kid?
Trent: I love dragons, gryphons, various birds and reptiles, and so many more. I love nature so much, and it's not just animals, but plants and flowers as well. (looks around and sees an unhappy skin badger) Hey there little fella. Are you okay? (the skin badger looked sad)
Viney: That little guy has been pretty depressed, but I've been busy with other things in this class, and the other students don't know what to do for him.
Trent: I may have an idea.
Trent makes a spell circle, and with that, he uses a Beast Keeping spell that shines a bright orange aura around the skin badger, and the skin badger starts to feel happy, and then goes to Trent and cuddles against his hand.
Viney: That's impressive!
Amity: It sure is. I can see why Principal Bump was so impressed during your placement exam.
Trent: Thanks! I've been studying Beast Keeping magic for most of my childhood, and I've grown a connection with many animals.
Viney: That's cool! Do you have any pets at home?
Trent: Only one! I really want a dragon, but my parents feel I'm still too young to tame and keep one as a pet, so I only have my pet horned raven Jub Jub.
Viney: You have a pet horned raven?
Trent: I sure do.
Viney: That's very cool.
As Trent was with Viney, Amity saw he took well to her, and it sort of made her feel sad that Trent was comfortable and happy around Viney, but hesitant around her. Before too long, Trent noticed he had been in the Beast Keeping Homeroom for a while, and figured he should continue with his tour.
Trent: I should get back to my tour, but it was great to meet you Viney.
Viney: You too Trent. (they shake hands) I know you'll make a great addition to this school.
Trent: (smiles) Thanks! (heads out with Amity)
Amity: Now then, I guess you'd like to...
Before Amity could finish her sentence, some of the baby class students ran into the hall, and they were happy yo see her.
Baby Class Student #1: Hey Amity!
Amity: (smiles) Hey there little ones.
Baby Class Student #2: Are we still on for story time at the library this Friday?
Amity: Of course! (rubs the kid's head) I wouldn't miss it.
Baby Class Teacher: Now now children, let's let Ms. Blight be for now.
Amity: It's not a problem ma'am.
Baby Class Teacher: Nonetheless, children, let's allow Amity to continue giving the new student his tour.
Baby Class Student #1: Story time on Friday.
Amity: (to Trent) I work with these kids at the library, and they really like me.
Trent: I'm surprised to see such little kids happy around you, given that you're the same person I saw crush that little demon's cupcake at the last covention.
Amity: (surprised) How do you know about that?
Trent: I saw it from across the room. You crushed the cupcake while also being nasty to the human girl.
Amity: (worried) Listen Trent, I wasn't always the nicest person, but that's not who I am, please trust me.
Trent: It's really hard. Remember how I mentioned that my brother once went here? He told me you often made fun of him, and that when he finally graduated, he was glad that he didn't have to put up with you anymore.
Amity: I remember him now, but please believe me Trent. That's not who I am anymore. I've changed, and I really just want to make you feel welcome and happy.
Trent: (uncertain) Well, you've been nice to me so far, and I haven't seen any reason to not trust you. Okay Amity! I'll really try to give you a chance.
Amity: Thank you Trent! Now then! To make you happy, how about we visit the Plant homeroom?
Trent: I'd love that very much.
Before too long, they had arrived at the Plant homeroom, and Willow was in there working on he latest assignment. Willow saw them come in, and noticed Trent.
Willow: Hey Amity!
Amity: Hey Willow!
Willow: You must be the new student. Viney told me about you.
Trent: (overjoyed) You're Willow Park! It's such an honor to meet you. You're the greatest Plant witch at this school.
Willow: (blushes) Ah! Thanks kid! Viney told me you love Plant magic, so would you like to show me what you can do?
Trent: I'd be happy too.
Trent made spell circles with both his hands, and before long, he had produced a display of flowers in front of Willow and Amity.
Willow: That's very beautiful.
Trent: Now watch this.
Trent made a large spell circle with both his hands, and he produced some large vines, and as they came out, they grew larger. Afterwards, Trent showed them a plant creature.
Trent: These plant creatures are one of my own creations. My parents love them, and they impress anyone I show them too.
Willow: I can see why. You're very talented.
Trent: Thanks Willow! That means a lot coming from you.
Willow: (blushes again) You're quite the gentlemen. (they hear the school bell shriek)
Amity: Time for lunch.
Trent: Cool! I could use something to eat.
Amity: We'll continue our tour after lunch.
Trent: Okay then!
They headed to the cafeteria, and while Trent seemed to be warming up to Amity, she was still worried how Trent seemed afraid of her. They walked down the hall, and before too long, they had arrived at the cafeteria, and Amity was waiting for her friends before going to sit at their usual table.
Luz: (hugs Amity) Hey ermosa! (kisses Amity's cheek)
Amity: (hugs Luz back and also kisses her cheek) Hey Luz! Hey Willow!
Willow: Hey Amity! Hello Trent!
Trent: Hey Willow!
Luz: Hello! You must be the new student I heard about.
Trent: Yes! It's cool to meet the human girl that survived standing up to Belos.
Luz: That's very flattering! (they shake hands) It's nice to meet you. Your name is Trent, right?
Trent: Yes! It's also nice to meet you too Luz.
Viney: Hey Trent!
Trent: Hey Viney!
Luz: Looks like you're already starting to make connections, isn't it?
Gus: Hey everyone!
Luz: Hey Gus!
Gus: (notices Trent) Hello! You must be the new student. It's cool to meet you. (shakes Trent's hand)
Trent: It's cool to meet you too.
Willow: This is Gus. He's a good friend of ours.
Viney: We haven't told you this yet, but me, Willow, and Gus are part of this school's flyer derby team.
Trent: That's cool that this school has a flyer derby team. I've seen some flyer derby matches with my older brother before, and they're pretty fun to watch. I wouldn't call myself a big fan, but it's still fun.
Luz: Would you like to sit with us Trent?
Trent: Yes I would.
Amity: Did you bring a lunch Trent? If you didn't, I can give you some money to buy some food from the cafeteria.
Trent: My dad gave me some, but thank you Amity. I'll go get my food. Be back in a bit you guys.
Luz: He seems like a really cool kid.
Willow: He sure does.
Amity: (sounding somewhat saddened) Agreed!
Willow: Are you okay Amity?
Amity: I'm just worried that Trent doesn't like me very much?
Luz: (surprised) What? How can someone not like someone as awesome as you?
Amity: Someone who know the fake me that my mom made me into before I met you.
Luz: Oh! That's no good.
Willow: But haven't you told him you've changed?
Amity: I have, but I'm not sure if he trusts me.
Gus: I'm sure he'll come around.
Viney: Yeah! You're giving him a good tour, and I can see you're being very kind to him.
Amity: He does seem to be warming up to me, but I'm just worried it's possible he could still end up not liking me very much.
Luz: He'll see the truth ermosa..
Willow: We know he will.
Trent had gotten his lunch, and before too long, he joined the others at their usual table, and Viney was also sitting with them.
Trent: I'm back!
Amity: Welcome back Trent.
Viney: So, are you liking this school?
Trent: It seems cool. Once my tour is over, I'll talk with Principal Bump about what tracks I want to be in, and then I'll be all set up to start my first official day.
Willow: That's great!
Trent: It looks like I'll have some cool schoolmates, and even some who can help me to feel at home.
Gus: We'll all make you feel welcome.
Luz: We're just impressed that a child was able to be placed in the higher classes.
Willow: That's really impressive.
Gus: That hasn't happened since I got promoted to the more advanced classes.
Trent: I know for a fact I'll be in good company. With all of you.
Those words made Amity feel happy. Amity started to believe that Trent might start to like her, and she was hopeful that she and Trent would become friends. Amity was hoping she and Trent would become friends as she really started to like him the more she got to know him.
Luz: So, you feel you'll be friends with all of us?
Trent: Yes I do.
They all continued to eat their lunch, and Amity was feeling relived that Trent seemed to start to like her. As they had their lunch, we notice that some random student was using his magic to make a bucket fly overhead, and it was coming close to Trent.
Trent: I'm going to get another apple blood. I'll be right back.
Trent got up to get another drink, but as he was starting to walk away from the table, the bucket was poured onto Trent, and he became covered in melted chocolate.
Student: Take that you little twerp. (starts to laugh)
Trent was really embarrassed to have this happen to him, and he ran out of the cafeteria, believing he'll be laughed at by everyone for this embarrassing prank.
Student: What a little loser. (continued to laugh as Amity approaches him looking angry) I gotta go.
Amity: On no you don't.
Amity makes a spell circle, and she used a wall of Abomination goop to prevent the student from being able to run away.
Amity: That was really immature and cruel. We help to make new students feel welcome here, not make them feel unwelcome. Do something like this again, and I'll report you to Principal Bump.
Student: (scared) Got it!
Amity: Good! (makes the Abomination goop go away) I better find Trent.
Luz: You want us to come with you Amity?
Amity: It's fine Luz.
Amity went to look for Trent, and we see that Trent was running to the restroom to get himself cleaned up. He was hoping to not be seen until he got cleaned, and because he had melted chocolate constantly pouring over his eyes, he had a hard time being able to fully see in front of him, and he accidentally bumped into Boscha.
Trent: Oh, I am so sorry. I didn't meant to do that.
Boscha: Watch it you little dork.
Trent: I swear I didn't mean to do that. I couldn't see with all this covering my face.
Boscha: That and you're probably a clumsy little twerp.
Trent: I said I was sorry.
Boscha: (in a condescending tone) Oh, pardon me. It was just an accident. By the way, would you like to see my new potion I made for my Potions class?
Trent: What is it.
Boscha: Just look closer.
Boscha put the potion closer to Trent, and it exploded in his face, and Trent got some green colored liquid covered all over his face.
Boscha: Now you look like a mud creature covered in mucus. (laughs)
Trent: (saddened) Maybe trying to come to school was a bad idea. Maybe I'd be better off just going back to being home schooled.
Boscha: Good! We don't need some little dork cramping up the style of this school. (flicks Trent's nose and continued to laugh)
Amity: Boscha! Step away from him.
Boscha: Look who's here.
Amity: I'm responsible for Trent's well being, and if you should continue, it would be too bad for you if Principal Bump were to find out.
Boscha: (upset) You wouldn't!
Amity: I would! Because unlike you, I grew up.
Boscha: I'm not done with you, you weak link. (angrily walks away)
Amity: ( to Trent) Are you okay Trent?
Trent: Thanks to you I am Amity. Thank you!
Amity: You're welcome! I promised Principal Bump I'd look after you, and I am going to keep that promise.
Trent: Thank you for today Amity. You've been a great host, and I feel bad I was skeptical of you when we first met earlier today. I was wrong about you.
Amity: You weren't entirely wrong Trent. I used to not be the nicest witch before I met Luz. Luz helped bring out the person I really am, and I am forever grateful to her, Willow, Gus, and the other group of friends we have now. You shouldn't feel bad Trent.
Trent: Still! I'm sorry Amity.
Amity: No need to worry Trent. You were just scared that's all. Not to mention we can now get to know each other better.
Trent: Thank you Amity.
Amity: We should get you cleaned up.
Trent: I'm ready to get back to my tour.
Amity: Of course! We'll finish lunch, and then get back to our tour.
Amity helps to get Trent cleaned up, and then they head back to the cafeteria so Trent and Amity can finish their lunch.
Willow: Welcome back you two.
Gus: Are you okay Trent?
Trent: Yes I am. As long as someone like Amity is watching over me, I feel safe here.
Luz: (happy) AAHHHH! You two are friends now?
Trent: We sure are.
Amity: Once you finish up your lunch, we can finish up your tour.
Trent: Cool!
They all continue to eat their lunch, and before too long they hear the school bell shriek.
Luz: We all better get back to class.
Willow: We'll see you two after school.
Gus: Later you two.
Viney: Have fun with the rest of your tour Trent.
Trent: I will.
They all headed out of the cafeteria, and as the others headed to their lockers to get ready for their next classes, Amity and Trent continued with their tour.
Amity: So Trent, where should we go to next?
Trent: Well, I've seen the Abomination, Beast Keeping, Plant, and Healing homerooms. How about we see the Bard homeroom next? My mom is a Bard witch, and I'd love to see the classroom she used to study in. After that I'd like to see the Potions homeroom, since my dad is a Potions witch.
Amity: Boscha's in the Potions track, but I know after lunch she has history class, so she wont be there when I take you to see it.
Trent: Okay! Maybe we should see the Potions homeroom first then.
Amity: I gotcha!
They headed to the Potions homeroom, and they looked around as Trent saw the classroom that his father used to study in.
Trent: This is cool.
Potions Professor: Is this the student you're giving a tour too Ms. Blight.
Amity: Yes he is. This is Trent.
Potions Professor: Trent Boggs?
Trent: Yes!
Potions Professor: I know your father. He was the top student in the Potions class when he graduated years ago.
Amity: That's very cool.
Potions Professor: He was such a great student, and while he did get the award for the highest ranking Potions student at graduation, he was technically tied with Lilith at the time of graduation, but it was given to Trent's father due to Lilith joining the Emperor's Coven, and him continuing to be a student who was focused on one type of magic.
Trent: I remember my dad told me that.
Potions Professor: It's an honor to meet you Trent. Your father has told me so much about you, and how you're a very talented young witchling.
Trent: Thanks! That's very flattering.
Potions Professor: Enjoy the rest of your tour.
Trent: I will!
Amity continues to give Trent his tour, and she takes him to the Bard homeroom, which he loves to see, and noticed some neat looking bard magic that makes him think of what his mother at home normally does. She took him to the outdoor sports arena, and they look around as they see some students practicing various sports. Before too long, the school day had come to an end, and it was time for Amity and Trent to report back to Principal Bump for Trent to tell him about his tour.
Trent: Thank you so much for today Amity. I know I'll he happy coming to Hexside.
Amity: (smiles) You're very welcome Trent. I'm happy that you'll be joining us, and we'll both be in the advanced classes together.
Trent: I am happy to be one of your schoolmates Amity.
Principal Bump: Ah! Good afternoon you two.
Amity and Trent: Good afternoon sir.
Principal Bump: How was Trent's tour?
Trent: It went really well sir. I cannot wait to come to this school.
Principal Bump: I am glad to hear that. Have you decided what track or tracks you'd like to be a part of.
Trent: Yes I have sir. I wish to be in the Beast Keeping and Plant tracks.
Principal Bump: Done!
Principal Bump uses his magic, and Trent goes from wearing a plain Hexside uniform with his new colors as his sleeves become orange and his pant legs become green.
Trent: Thank you sir.
Principal Bump: You're welcome Trent. I am honored that a gifted young witchling such as yourself will be joining our school. You start tomorrow, and I hope you like your first official day.
Trent: I will sir.
Principal Bump: Have a wonderful rest of your day you two.
Amity and Trent: Thank you sir.
Shortly after Principal Bump left, Luz, Willow, and Gus arrived at the front entrance, and they greeted their friends.
Luz: (surprised) Whoa! You have your track colors Trent.
Amity: That's right! He's officially a Hexside student.
Willow: I know you'll love being here.
Willard: Good afternoon children.
Everyone: Good afternoon Mr. Willard.
Willard: Hello Trent!
Trent: Hello Mr. Willard! It's nice to see you sir.
Willard: I'm friends with his parents, so he already knows me. I just wanted to let you know that you'll be in my first period class tomorrow Trent.
Gus: That's awesome! You'll be in class with us at the start of each day.
Trent: (happy) I cannot wait.
Willard: I look forward to having you in class Trent. I know you'll be great for the group assignment we'll do in class tomorrow. I'll see all of you tomorrow.
Everyone: Bye Mr. Willard.
Trent: Hey! I just thought of something.
Amity: What is it Trent?
Trent: My parents will be overjoyed to learn I already made some new friends today, and I wanted to ask if you four would want to come to my house?
Willow: I'd love to Trent, but me and Gus have flyer derby practice today.
Gus: Sorry little buddy.
Trent: It's okay! I know you'll come to my house sooner or later.
Willow: We sure will. Bye you three.
Amity, Luz, and Trent: Bye! (Willow and Gus fly off to the school outdoor sports arena)
Eda: Hey kiddo! You ready to head home?
Luz: Actually, I made a new friend today, and is it okay if I go to his house for dinner?
Eda: Hey, I know you. You're Morris and Lara's child.
Luz: You know his parents.
Eda: Sort of. We were in school together, but I didn't exactly talk to them much, but we've been on good terms, and they're both good people.
Trent: My parents have told me about you, and they don't think you deserve to be viewed so badly.
Eda: I know! It's very nice to meet you Trent. (shakes Trent's hand)
King: So Luz wont have dinner with us tonight?
Luz: I wont stay at Trent's overnight King. (pats King's head) I'll be home later tonight.
King: Okay! I just worry when you stay out too late nowadays.
Eda: We both do King, but Luz is safe with her friends, and I know she'll be safe with the Boggs. They're good people, and I know they'll happily accept Luz into their home.
Trent: They sure will, and I'll make certain that Luz is perfectly safe and happy at my home ma'am.
Eda: No need to be so formal kid.
Trent: I'm sorry about that curse that's effected you Ms. Eda.
Eda: It stinks, but I am at least happy I have loved ones around me that help to make my life happy with what I have.
Trent: That's nice to know.
King: Be sure to keep Luz safe kid. If anything happens to her, I'll come for you.
Eda: (stern) King! We don't raise our voice to children like that.
King: Sorry! I just worry for Luz.
Trent: I understand!
Eda: Anyway, have fun kiddo.
Luz: I'll stop by home first Eda.
Eda: (surprised) Really?
Luz: I just wanted to change before I head over there.
Amity: I also want to change into my normal clothes before I come by. I also need to take my books home.
Eda: I hope your folks wont be too upset. I know your parents were always rather snobby towards Trent's parents due to them being friends with Willard.
Amity: I'll just tell them I'll be over at a friend's house, and plus, my mom's not home right now. She's out of town at some business event, and it's just dad who's with us, since he's running things while mom's out of town
Eda: Okay then! Well, I'll see you guys later when I drop off Luz at the Boggs residence. Just hope on Luz, and we'll get you ready soon enough.
Luz: Of course Eda. (hops onboard Owlbert)
Eda: See you in a bit you two.
King: Later!
Luz: I can't wait to meet your parents Trent.
Trent: I can't wait for them to meet you too.
Eda, Luz, and King fly off on Owlbert, and just Amity and Trent were left at the front entrance as most other students had all departed for home, minus ones who were staying for sports or other after school activities.
Amity: I better get home. (pulls out Ghost)
Trent: Cool palisman Amity.
Amity: Thanks! Say hello Ghost.
Ghost rubbed against Trent's legs, as he petted her backside. Ghost then licked Trent's hand.
Amity: It looks like it's not just animals, but even palisman like you.
Trent: I try to be friendly to all living creatures that are born from nature, and that includes palisman. The two palisman that belong to my parents also really like me.
Amity: Okay then! I'll head home, change out of my school uniform, and then be at your house. Can you please give me directions to your house?
Trent: Of course!
Trent poofed out his scroll, and he sent Amity a text that gave her directions to his house.
Amity: Thanks Trent! I look forward to spending some time at your house.
Trent: I do too. I know you and I will be close friends (gives Amity a hug who returns it)
Amity: I think we'll be good friends too Trent.
Amity headed off to her house, and Trent walked home, as he was happy to have already made some friends, and was more than excited to officially start school.
