Notes:

Hi and thank you for coming to read this book. The prolouge is short but trust me the upcoming chapters will be much longer.

Though this is also just me writing a self Insert/oc story I hope you enjoy it!

Disclaimer:I am dyslexic so the grammar and spelling may be off sometimes. I try my best to go back and edit everything to perfection but some stuff slips through.

Now then let's get into this story.

Chapter 1: The snow is unforgiving to young travelers

Chapter Text

The wind howled as the winged wolf hybrid trudged through the snowy land. Ears pinned back and wings wrapped tightly around them trying to keep them warm in such a cold environment. Only wearing a tattered white shirt, that has turned slightly brown with age and wear and tear, and ripped brown pants. Their paws felt frozen and sore. The pads were worn and torn to the point they'd occasionally leave a trace of blood behind them in the footprints that would soon be covered by the falling snowflakes. Their small frame was shivering like the leaves of the occasional trees they'd pass by.

The snow is unkind to young travelers. Especially when they'd been raised in a plains village. But they couldn't go back there no matter how much they wanted. The hunters had found the hybrids and raided them. They were lucky to have escaped with their freedom and life. They hoped that their friends had escaped in the chaos but they knew their parents were gone. Either trapped or killed protecting them as they fled. They could still hear their shouting and attacking. Still see the blood on the ground when their father had been stabbed in his arm and screamed for them to run.

They hadn't even realized, being so tired and so deep in thought, as the tears that began to stream down and wet their fluffy cheeks Caused their fur to freeze and matte together in messy clumps. Feel the impact of the snow as they fell to the ground. See the cottage not even a half a mile away. Hear the shouts of people and the crunch of snow as they ran towards their small body that was quickly going unconscious. Feel the warmth of a body as they were picked up by a blonde male with wings as his three sons asked so many questions.

The snow really is unforgiving to young travelers.
