Yesterday, before going to bed
they had moved the bed over to the window
so they had a better look over the Mediterranean Sea.
This morning, Nicky woke when the first sunbeam hit his face.
Nicky smiled, enjoying feeling so safe in Joe's arms
while looking out at the rising sun.
Behind Nicky, Joe also woke when a sunbeam hit his face.
Joe smiled, enjoying having the man he loved in his arms
while he also looked out at the rising sun.
Joe:
"What are you thinking about, Habibi?"
Nicky:
"That I don't want to do anything else today
but lay here in the sunlight with you looking out over the Mediterranean Sea."
Joe pulled Nicky closer to him before wrapping his arms around the man
he loves with his entire heart.
Nicky let Joe do it without any resistance
and showed Joe it by running his fingers up and down Joe's arm.
Joe:
"Sounds like a perfect day to me."
They stay in bed like this the entire day.
