Forever chained to this earthly plain
Searching for something more
Drifting through lives
Through thoughts
Through minds
Desperately wanting to be remembered
To be cared for
To be loved
Then came the light
A beacon of hope
Banishing the loneliness of the morning
He too had been touched by the darkness
Felt it’s grip on his life
They shared in the feeling of hopeless
The feeling of desperation
The feeling of despair
The girl made of stars let go of the light
Taking the hand of darkness
Finally finding something more
