"This is the time."
At the moment, Tsubaki was making up her mind to approach Rinku who was asleep in her room. In her hand was a string that she held very tightly. She tried to regulate her breathing which was getting more and more uncontrollable; trying not to wake her target.
"Calm down Aoyagi Tsubaki, this is something you must do for your future," she said trying to calm herself down.
Arriving in front of her target, she sat on the edge of the bed. Stroking her head, and then kissed her left hand. She took the string she had brought before and used it to measure Rinku's ring finger.
Before leaving, she said a few words to her.
"Rinku, since I met you, my life has become more colorful. Every day won't be boring if I'm with you. And it's also only with you that I can do things that I wasn't sure I could do at first. You really make me the happiest person in the world. Thank you Rinku,"
A few weeks later, the ring Tsubaki had ordered was in her hands, and she knew there was one thing she had to do.
"Rinku, do you have a minute?"
Rinku, who was reading a book, put down her book and focused on Tsubaki. "Of course. What's wrong Tsubaki-chan,"
'Come on Tsubaki, do it, she's already right in front of you. All you have to do is give it to her and propose.'
"Oh Tsubaki-chan, just say it, you don't have to be shy,"
"Umm, I think I am not ready yet, maybe next time,"
Stupid, stupid, stupid. Now you lost the chance to give it.
However, before she left the room, she was surprised by what Rinku said.
"Was it about the ring you bought?"
"Eh? How did you know?"
"Hehe, you think I didn't notice when you measured my finger. I just pretended not to know until you gave it to me yourself."
Tsubaki was now covering her face with both hands, clearly embarrassed by the revelation.
"So, Tsubaki-chan, are you going to give it to me or not?"
"Ugh, fine. Let me prepare myself."
She composed herself, then faced Rinku once more, kneeling before her as she opened the ring box she had been carrying.
"Aimoto Rinku-san, will you marry me?"
With tears of joy, she accepted the proposal.
