Chapter Text

Rocket engines began to crackle as plums of smoke launched out of them. This signaled that it was time. Time for a countdown to start. “10, 9, 8, 7..” The countdown rang out from all areas of the location. Inside the ship about to be launched was a young woman of 26 years of age sitting in her seat breathing in and out. As she did though her pink hair visible from the visor of her helmet was shown. She had cut it long ago in a more appropriate style, one that she’d need to take her mission. Still she wondered if she would like it. The woman sighed.

“Not now Hikaru, not now..” She said as she focused on her controls. All the buttons, switches, and other devices in front of her fortnightly were still mapped out in her brain. It seemed after years of struggling a bit with school, she finally got her memory structured to know what did what and how to work each button. It was as easy to her as drawing constellations in her sketchbook. Still she had to be focussed, she wouldn’t let her first chance to go to space in years be ruined. Not with all she had been riding on. Soon though the countdown resurfaced in her head.

“6, 5, 4..” She heard as she thought it was odd. She could almost hear the voices of all the people ringing out. Be it Elena or Madoka on the ground watching their friend. Her family cheered in the stands. The voices of all the classmates and friends she made over her whole life. And even a part of her could hear all her non earth based friends countdown. Although how she wouldn't know and she couldn’t care. All that matter was their love, their support, all fueling her to be ready as the big three numbers counted down.

“3, 2, 1…” They sounded as Hikaru spoke up. “And Liftoff!” She cheered as the rocket soon propelled higher and higher before reaching into the sky. The weight of it has nothing to do with Hikaru's drive and desire to break through the sky. Once she did that it was her desire to break through the atmosphere and once that occurred she did it. She did it..after so many years she had..she had finally gotten back into the space she loved so dear. The space that might allow her to see her friends again.

“Fuwa..Prunce..Yuni…and.” The girl said as tears came to her eyes from the momentous launch. “Lala..I’m coming.” Hikaru said as her ship soared in the vacuum of space as the sunlight touched the ship and through the window Hikaru was blinded with white light.

BEEP BEEP BEEP! Hikaru heard as her eyes opened once again. Except instead of the rocket she had been in now..she was in a room. With her arms and legs in a rather unnatural position for such a room looking as if she were a dog playing dead. Once gravity caught up with her through her arms and legs fell as the girl sat up. “Hikaru! It’s time to wake up!” Her mother called Hikaru blink a few times before sighing. “Aww..it was just a dream.” Hikaru says with a pout as she stands from her bed and sleepily walks to the bathroom. Once in there she begins to fix up her hair with a comb as she smiles.

“Well at least my hair still looks good.” She says as she smiles at the long and puffy hair she wore her whole life so far. It had been a shock to her although one she should have known of that, she’d have to cut her hair when going into space. So fortunately she still had a long time before she would have to do that. Still she brushed her hair with care like she always did when she brushed Fuwas. Although at that thought Hikaru frowned at the mirror before shaking her head.

No she shouldn’t be sad thinking of her. Fuwa was alive! She was living and happy! It was just she wasn’t here right now..but she would see her again some day! That’s why she was studying about becoming an astronaut. So she could be a bridge for humanity to meet with aliens again. All so she and others could see how twincool all Aliens are and how twincool Earth is as well! And with that thought the frown soon vanished from Hikaru’s face as a bright happy smile emerged in the young shooting star. With this she soon left the bathroom and enjoyed a quick breakfast before changing her outfit and leaving the house happily.

As she did, she ran to a familiar snack stand to collect a good amount of Star Donuts all for the special day she had planned. She skipped across town happily till she made it to her favorite spot. It was a calm area of the forest covered in trees but with a beautiful clearing with a fun big room to sit on nearby as well as nice grassy hills to sit on for a picnic. As she got there though Hikaru smiled that she was not alone. Two others had arrived before her and set out a picnic blanket. However as she came across them she soon quieted herself as she snuck around before being seen. Mostly because of the scene before her being too cute to interrupt.

Her one friend with blonde hair and darker skin smiled at her other friend with long purple hair and fair skin. The two smiled at one another as they discussed stuff going on. As they did, Hikaru got close enough to hear. “Yep so then he played this incredibly sweet song to my mom. It was really passionate, especially with his guitar playing and I think she really enjoyed it. I was just glad to watch it with my siblings.” Elena says as Madoka giggles. “I can see why. It must be fun to have that kinda family dynamic. With mine, I could never see my father play guitar for my mother. Although apparently he played her a song on the piano for their anniversary before I was born. My mother said he did rather well.” Madoka says.

“Hehe sounds like even your dad has a bit more of a fun side to him than I thought.” Elena says as Madoka giggles. “I suppose so.” She says as Elena smirks. “So what should I do for our anniversary then?” Elena questions as Madoka blushes a bit. “Oh..well umm I would not want you to go too far with anything. Afterall we have only been official for a year as of right now.” Madoka says as Elena giggles. “I guess but I would wanna do something special for you. Since you're the first person I ever dated.” Elena says as Madoka smiles. “Honestly, all I desire from you now is to just see your radiant smile. That is all that I need to keep me going.” Madoka says as Elena smiles. “Sure thing Madoka. But I expect the same from you. After all, you're the moon to my sun.” Elena jokes as Madoka giggles.

Listening to this though Hikaru is jittery and full of joy. Madoka and Elena began to go out around the time of their final battle so it always filled her with joy listening in on this. Unfortunately, the two tended to be a bit more reserved when around her. Possibly to avoid Hikaru being the third wheel in their relationship but still she was happy to hear such things. Unfortunately, her jitteriness soon gave her away as a certain blonde's hands dragged her head into view as a Madoka blushed. “Hikaru! Were you listening in on us..again.” Elena says with both annoyance as Hikaru giggled nervously.

“Um..yes..but I can’t help myself! You two are so twincute together!” She punned as Elena sighed but still chuckled a bit. “Well did you at least bring the donuts for today?” Elena questions as Hikaru nods. “Yep! Tada!” She says holding out a bag almost as big as her torso causing Madoka to look a bit alarmed. “Um Hikaru. You do remember that there are only three of us eating these right? Also how did you afford that many?” Madoka questions as Hikaru smiles. “Oh it was donut day today, remember! They have all the star donuts half off! Besides, today is our special day so why not splurge a little for some extras!” Hikaru says as Elena sighs. “I suppose that’s fair. Still I would probably be worrying about our waistlines after eating these.” Elena says jokingly patting her stomach as Hikaru smiles.

“Don’t worry! My grandpa says I have a stomach like a black hole! So I can eat a lot without worrying about gaining weight.” Hikaru says as Madoka giggles. “I suppose he has a point. Although I feel that his meaning was a bit more offensive than complimentary.” Madoka says as Elena sighs. “Who cares as long as she is happy.” Elena says as Hikaru happily opens up the bag and takes out a donut to begin eating. At that Madoka nods as the trio sit down and eat some donuts together.

As they did though Elena smiled. “Can’t believe it’s been a year since we last fought as Pretty Cures.” Elena says as Hikaru and Madoka smiled. “Yeah..it’s been nice to not have to fight any more bad guys. Although I hope that Kapard San and his group have found a new home together.” Hikaru says as Madoka nods. “I agree. But I am sure all of them are good wherever they end up.” Madoka says. “My hope is that Yuni and her people are doing well after Aiwarn helps to free them.” Elena says as the two nod as well. “Still hard to believe it’s been a year since we saw Yuni..and even more so Lala.” Hikaru says as the two girls look at her. “It’s funny. Himeojo San and Karube San both ask about her and if I know anything. I think they and everyone in class miss Lala.” Hikaru says as her smile grows a bit sadder.

“Hikaru.” Elena says as Hikaru looks at her. “I am sure we’ll see her again. I know she’s probably trying everything to see us again. So don’t worry, okay.” Elena says with her motherly warmth as Hikaru looks and nods. “Yeah..guess I got a bit too worried there. Umm anyway Elena, Madoka, how has your new school been?” Hikaru questions as the two smile seeing their shooting star friend’s perky energy return. Before they can answer though. “Hikaru!” The girls hear as they stand in surprise. “Huh, who said that?” Hikaru questions as she and the others look around but no one is in sight. “Elena! Madoka!” The voice perks up again as HIkaru and the others look for a person but still see no such person. Although the voice causes Hikaru’s eyes to open wide.

“Fuwa..” She says before suddenly a bright flash of white envelopes her and the others as a cute unicorn with a rainbow mane appears before Hikaru. “HIKARU!” She calls out as she dive bombs the pink girl in a hug as she smiles warm and affectionately. “I missed you so much!” She says as the white void is replaced the normal park setting only now with Fuwa in Hikaru’s loving embrace. “Elena! Madoka!” She calls out as she soon flys and hugs both girls as she is brimming with energy.

“Fuwa..but how are you here? I thought you couldn’t teleport anymore since you used up your powers?” Madoka questions as Fuwa smiles. “Well I don’t understand it much myself. I was just with the others when I started to cry cause I missed you and now I am here!” Fuwa says as Hikaru looks confused. “The others?” She questions before the girls hear the roar of a familiar engine as two ships emerge from the sky. One a multi colored rocket and the other strangely enough was a dog shaped police craft. Seeing both made Hikaru smile brightly. Especially as the ship landed and a door opened up. Inside the doorway were three figures. A blue squid like alien, a blue haired girl with orange eyes wearing a blue and white outfit, and finally a shorter aqua haired maiden that Hikaru made a be ling for.

“Lala!” Hikaru called out hugging with enough love to cause the aqua girl to blush but soon she returned the hug and called out her own name. “Hikaru..” She says with warmth. As they finished their hug though Hikaru smiles at her friends. “Yuni..Prunce..Lala. Welcome Back!” Hikaru says with a smile as they equally smile back. As she does so the other craft opens up. “That was a bumpy ride.” A girl says as she exits the car as Yuni scoffs. “I told you that police training was nothing compared to what we have been through.” Yuni says as the girl, now revealed as a dog alien, frowns. “Yuni, don’t be so mean!” The girl yells as Hikaru looks confused. “Isn’t that the police girl? What is she doing here?” Hikaru questions as Yuni sighs. “Allow me to explain-nya” Yuni says as the group sits down on the picnic blanket.

“After Aiwarn and I managed to revive my planet and its people, a few days later this girl showed up.” Yuni says as the girl frowns. “I have a name Yuni.” She says annoyed as Yuni sighs. “My mistake, it was a few days later when Super Investigator and Officer Marry Ann arrived on the planet.” Yuni says with a smirk as Ann blushes. “My regular name would have sufficed.” She says as Yuni continues her story. “Naturally she scared me and Aiwarn into thinking she was here to apprehend us or something but in truth she gave me this nifty medal.” Yuni says, revealing a medal hidden under her shirt.

“And she also came to help with the Planet.” Yuni says as Ann smiles. “Yes you see I was put in charge of being the liaison to the planet due to my great record of assignments and desire to help out the planet. Also due to my run-ins with you all back during the incident with Don Octo and with those space criminals.” Ann explains as Yuni smirks. “Also so she can keep a close eye on us in case we wanna steal or commit any crimes-nya.” Yuni says as Ann tears up.

“Hey that’s not true! I mean yeah I thought you two were bad originally but that has changed! Especially since I got to know you Yuni. Although, Aiwarn is still a bit of a jerk to me.” Ann says as Yuni frowns seeing her tear up and sighs. “Look sorry I didn’t mean nothing from it. It was a joke, okay. Nothing to start crying about.” She says as Ann stops tearing up and nods.

“Umm right and I was not crying! I am an officer and we never cry no matter what!” Ann says her normal peppiness returns as the others giggle a bit. “With that out of the way I guess we should thank Fuwa for this. Especially since we can now communicate with you again.” Elena says as she smiles at the fairy before everyone pauses.

“Hey wait..that’s right why can we understand you guys again?” Hikaru questions as Yuni smirks. “Well I guess we're back to being Pretty Cures.” She says as she shows off something beneath her medal which was her star color pendant which it seemed the others also had now. “TWINCOOL! This means we can finally go to those Pretty Cure parties with the other teams!” Hikaru says as Lala smiles. “That would be wonderful-lun!” Lala says as Hikaru looks at the girl smiling. “Good to see your still happy Lala.” Hikaru says as Lala smiles. “Of course Lun! I mean after all I have been reunited with you.” Lala says as Hikaru and her blush a bit as Elena and Madoka giggle while Yuni gags.

“Jeez I knew they were gonna be smoochy when we came back but this is ridiculous-nya.” Yuni says as Ann smiles. “I don’t know, I think it’s cute Yuni.” Ann says as Yuni sighs. “Whatever, just don’t try any of that stuff with me.” Yuni says with a snicker as Ann blushes. “What! I have you know I don’t..I never liked you..urrr don’t think this means you win Blue Cat!” Ann yells as Yuni smirks more to her as Madoka and Elena giggle at the situation.

“Oh that’s right, Yuni!” Hikaru exclaims as Yuni looks at her. “Yes?” She questions. “The others did ask about you but I had no idea how to get them to find you. Apparently Setsuna’s teleport thing is different when it comes to planets or something but they had a hard time finding you or Aiwarn.” Hikaru says as Yuni looks confused. “Find us for what?” She questions.

“Oh well..since you were one of our enemies and she was especially an enemy to us they wanted to see if you guys wanted to join their Redemptives Group.” Hikaru says as Yuni looks confused. “Redemptives?” She questions. “It’s a group which some of the former enemies of the Pretty Cures are in. It’s a group made to help them adjust to life or to simply learn to deal with what they did in the past.” Madoka explains. “Oh right..well I pass.” She says as Hikaru looks shocked.

“Really but what about all the trauma of being, Blue Cat and stealing?” Hikaru questions as Yuni sighs. “To be honest I have more lectures on that by this girl than I could ever handle, so I think I am good.” Yuni says as Ann frowns. “I was just telling you what the crimes you committed would have gotten you if you didn’t save the universe.” She says as Yuni nods. “So honestly I am fine. And probably Aiwarn as well. Can’t really see her working with a group much less about her past. She really only talks to me a few times a day. Every other time she’s busy fixing up the planet’s technology to be more high tech.” Yuni says as Hikaru smiles.

“Oh okay. Just thought I'd say that since they are always asking around. But I am glad you found your own redemption Yuni!” Hikaru says as Yuni smiles. “Thanks Hikaru.” Yuni says kindly as the group sits in silence as they enjoy their donuts. However, this silence doesn’t last long as soon a call rings out, “NOTTOREI!!” The voice calls out as the group looks to see a Nottorei in the clearing nearby. “Oh no, someone must’ve found a Nottorei Mask-Lun!” Lala cries out as the girls look worried. “Well then I guess we gotta go fight it. Like old times girls.” Hikaru says, taking out her star pen as the others smile and nod. “Sounds like it. Although Ann you should be careful while we fight. This might be too much for an ordinary officer.” Yuni says as Ann growls.

“Hey I can fight! Besides I gave you backup before. I can do it again!” Ann says as Yuni smirks. “Okay then. But maybe also protect Fuwa and Prunce.” She says as Ann nods while Yuni takes out her pen. “I wonder if I can sing this, I am kinda rusty with it.” Elena comments as Madoka smiles. “I am sure it would be good practice for singing with your father later on.” Madoka says as Elena smiles. “Alright girls here we go!” Hikaru says as they nod.

“Star Color Pendant! Color Charge!” The girl says as they place their pens into the device before a melody begins from them. “With the power of the sparkling stars, I will draw the me that I long to be!” The girls sing as they each begin to transform. As they do they chant another part of their song. “Twinkle, Twinkle Pretty Cure!.” They chant multiple times as they begin to finish off their forms before the final note is sung. “Star Twinkle! Star Twinkle Pretty Cure!!” They finish their song as they place their star pens into their pouches and pose. “The twinkling star that shines throughout the universe! Cure Star!” Hikaru chants happily. “The milky way stretching across the heavens! Cure Milky!” Lala chants happily. “Light up the sky! With sparkling heat! Cure Soleil!” Elena chants happily. “Light up the night sky! With the secretive moonlight! Cure Selene!” Madoka chants happily. “The rainbow spectrum lighting up the galaxy! Cure Cosmo!” Yuni chants happily as the group all pose together. “Star Twinkle Pretty Cure!” They say as they all take their first steps together as a team in a long time and jump high into the sky. As they do, Hikaru looks at her team and smiles. It's good to have all of your guys back. I hope we can be friends forever. Hikaru thinks as her life continues in a way she never thought it would. Hopefully this would a dream that could last forever!

Chapter Text

It was a nice Spring afternoon as a certain house, namely the bedroom was a bit livelier than normal. Said bedroom belonged to a girl who a few months before would not have been so full of energy. A girl who was bedridden in a hospital for much of her childhood. As such the parents of said girl could only smile hearing such joyful sounds coming from her room. Although most came admittedly from one of the girl's close friends.

“Nozomichi! Tanomichi!” Hinata says happily as the girl and her three friends watch their computer screen light up with video of two familiar faces. Both girls had magenta hair, similar facial shapes, and magenta eyes. However, in terms of their hair one had it in slight pigtails with yellow hair pins in them. The other had her hair flowing down below her neck with a pair of two hairpins both in the shape of roses with magenta and purple highlights at the sides of her hair.

The two girls also had different fashion as the one with her hair in buns wore a pink and magenta shirt with blue pants with a silver colored pendant around her neck. While the other girl wore a black t-shirt with red highlights and a magenta skirt. As Hinata yelled her happy hello, one of the girls perked up equally so. “Hey Hinata Chan! How are you?” Nozomi questions as Hinata smirks. “Doing good! How about you? And you to Tanomichi?” Hinata questions as the other girl spoke up. “I am doing fine, Hinata San.” Tanomi says sweetly as Nozomi nods. “Yep I am doing good too! But especially after hearing you guys finally beat those Byogens once and for all!!” Nozomi says cheerfully as the others in the room smile at that.

“Yes, it was quite the interesting experience we went through these last few days.” Chiyu said as another girl nodded. “Quite so but we managed to work things out.” Asumi said. “With some help by our other friends of course.” Nodoka says as the three smaller Healin Good fairies and the one older dog based fairy smile with pride at the compliment. “Well good job! I know it must’ve been hard on you but now that you did it you can rest easily.” Tanomi says. “Well I mean after we have our party for you guys!” Nozomi says happily. “Ohh that’s right! I’m so excited about that!” Hinata says.

“Yep, it's the first party I will attend in a long time so I am excited!” Nodoka says as Hinata smiles. “Yep can’t wait to see everyone from the Pretty Cures. Especially, since I wanted to let your team, Hikaru’s team and Hana’s team know about me and Nodokacchi.” Hinata says as she smiles happily at Nodoka as she blushes a little. “Aww Hinata.” Nodoka says as Hinata smiles brightly at her. “Huh? OH wow!” Nozomi says as she clues into it as Tanomi equally smiles. “You two are going out?!” Nozomi questions as Nodoka blushes a bit as Hinata smirks with pride. “Of course. Me and Nodokacchi confessed a few days ago after we went on a date to the park.” Hinata says as Nadoka smiles. “

Yes..Hinata really helped me when I was struggling a lot and she made me so happy I couldn't help but like her. So when she confessed to me I was so happy.” Nodoka says as Hinata smiles. “Yep, I felt the same with Nodokacchi. She’s so cute and hardworking and just the sweetest person ever!” Hinata says hugging Nodoka as the girl blushes a bit but smiles. Both other people in the room equally smile seeing the two happy together as Nozomi and Tanomi do the same.

“Well congratulations to you two. I know this must be bringing you incredible happiness.” Tanomi says as Nozomi nods. “Yep! You guys are so cute together! I bet everyone will be happy to hear you two are together.” Nozomi says as Nodoka blushes. “It is rather daunting to think of doing so in front of everyone. Although speaking of that, how many Pretty Cures are there currently?” Nodoka questions as Nozomi smiles. “Well we have..um..there were 5 and the others were 14 so umm but wait what number are you guys hmm..” Nozomi says as Tanomi smiles.

“I believe we have around 68 counting you guys and the rest of us.” Tanomi says as Nozomi smiles. “Oh yeah what Tanomi says!” Nozomi says as Chiyu slightly sighs at the pink but smiles. “I see that is quite a lot.” Chiyu says as Nozomi soon gaps. “Wait, there are also the Redemptives as well!” Nozomi says as Tanomi also gasps. “Oh right then I suppose the number would go up to 13 more so around 81 people at the party if everyone chooses to come.” Tanomi says as the group looks confused.

“The Redemptives?” Nodoka questions as Tanomi nods. “Oh my mistake. The Redemptives is a group I am in. While I might be a Pretty Cure currently, I was also once an enemy to Nozomi and her team. But Nozomi helped to save me and thanks to her I was able to live a happy life. But afterwards I joined a group of others who did what I did.” Tanomi explains as the group looks shocked. “But your Nozomi San’s sister, Tanomi San. How could you have fought your own sister?” Asumi questions as Nozomi speaks up.

“Well it’s complicated but Tanomi isn’t really my sister at least before we used the power of the prism stones to make her that way. She was kinda a dark copy of me but now she is my sister!” Nozomi says as the others were just shocked at this as Chiyu speaks up. “And there are around 13 of these Redemptives?” Chiyu questions as Tanomi shakes her head. “Actually there are more. Those numbers are only for non cures. If you added me and the other cure based ones there are around 20 as of right now. Although we haven’t added to our numbers in a while. There are also the adult ones that Mr. Bunbee San and Papple San are a part of." Tanomi says as Nozomi speaks up.

"Yeah, I believe they actually got Gashuin San actually join their group after her incident with Ego Ego. Mr. Bunbee San was in the area at the time so it only made sense for them to ask. She’s actually currently helping out with some of the funding of Papple’s group as well as working with Dr. Traum San on some inventions with her IT company, Dream Tech. If what Mr. Bunbee says it is true at least.” Nozomi says as Nodoka smiles. “Wow, glad to see Gashuin San is still working with her technology even after the Ego Ego incident.” Asumi says as the others nod.

“Although speaking of that I suppose I should ask if you had anyone similar to that? From the villains you faced or any of you from a former role?” Tanomi questions as Hinata frowns. “No way none of us did anything wrong in the past. And as for our villains, nope they were all jerks and not worth saving especially one jerk I know.” Hinata says with a growl as Nadoka looks at her before looking down. “Oh that’s understandable. The previous team that joined us didn’t have any either. Although Yuni and Awarn were offered roles to join if they wanted to.” Tanomi says as Chiyu speaks up.

“Is this really something common to your group?” Chiyu questions as Tanomi nods. “Yep it started mainly with Kiriya San, Setsuna San, Michiru San and Kaoru San but it’s expanded a lot since then. Almost every group of Pretty Cures has at least one redemptive alley it seems.” Tanomi says. “Yep! I guess a lot of us just can’t help but save some of our bad guys and help them to be better!” Nozomi says cheerfully as they exchange a sibling hug. But seeing this and hearing what she says Nodoka looks down with clear guilt and pain in her eyes but no one notices, too distracted by the warm sibling moment in front of them.

“Well then with that out of the way it seems 81 is the number for the party. I will send out the location once Erika San and Hime San inform me. May I send it to you Chiyu San?” Tanomi questions as Chiyu nods. “Sure thing.” Chiyu says. “Very well, I hope you look forward to it.” Tanomi says. “Yep, it's gonna be super fun! I can’t wait to celebrate with you guys!” Nozomi says as Hinata nods. “Of course! It’s gonna be nice to see you guys again!” Hinata says.

“Well then I suppose we should get going Nozomi.” Tanomi says as Nozomi nods, ending the call with another round of goodbyes even from Nadoka who gives a half hearted smile. As the call ends though Hinata lays down on Nodoka's bed. “Ahh well with that done now we can focus on the rest of the night!” Hinata says as the others cheer. “Tonight is gonna be a fun slumber party, correct Hinata?” Asumi questions as the brunette nods. “Of course! We have a lot planned so I hope you guys are excited.” Hinata says as Chiyu smiles.

“It should be enjoyable but may I have my laptop back, Hinata. I need to make a video call with someone before we get things started.” Chiyu says as Hinata smirks. “Oh okay I gotcha Chiyuchi. Have fun talking with your girlfriend.” Hianta says, winking as Chiyu blushes. “What..I have no idea who you are referring to.” Chiyu says flustered as Hinata smirks. “Really because I thought you and her were definitely going out. You have a little love rivalry going on right.” Hinata winks as Chiyu blushes more. “Wait, are you and Tsubasa San in a relationship, Chiyu San?” Asumi questions as Chiyu explodes into a blush.

“Right on the money Asumi Chi! I figured they were but it was only when she sent her that letter that I figured out they might have a thing for each other.” Hinata says as Chiyu goes red in the face. “Tsubasa San and I have not been dating. We do not like each other that way. She is just my friend and my rival but nothing more.” Chiyu says as Hinata giggles. “Yeah sure, what do you think of it, Nadokacchi?” Hinata questions as the girl was silent as Hinata and the others looked to find Nodoka looking down. Seeing this Hinata frowned. “Nodokacchi?” Hinata questions as Nadoka soon looks up in surprise.

“What oh sorry guys I was spacing out. The umm..number of Pretty Cures and people at the party tomorrow feels a bit overwhelming.” Nodoka says as Hinata nods. “Yeah I feel that way too but if you need someone to hold onto tomorrow when you get overwhelmed then I am here for you.” Hinata says holding Nodoka's hand gently as Nodoka smiles. “Thank you Hinata.” Nodoka says with a genuine smile as the brown haired girl smiles back at her. “Hey, anything for my girlfriend!” Hinata says winking happily as Nodoka nods with the others giggling a bit but once the laughing started Nadoka once again looked down a bit.

Nighttime soon fell as Nodoka and the others of the group had finished their fun night of activities from uno cards, to watching cute videos on youtube, to even having a tasty meal created by the group. As such with nighttime around them the girls had soon all fallen asleep to rest up for the party in the morning.

But in the slumber of one girl, her dreams were not all too pleasant. She was in a familiar walkway with trees casting their shadows around her as the breeze picked up with her Cure outfit flowing around her. As for what was in front of her it was a gruesome sight. A boy with a damaged red coat and outfit standing at a slanted angle with himself breathing hard and heavy.

As he looked up he showed his eyes were full of anger and pain. “Cure Grace..you let me die.” He says as Nodoka freezes but gives the boy a confident look. “Daruzen..I would never have helped you after all you’ve done. To my town, my family, my friends, and..to myself.” Nodoka says as the boys growls. “And you call yourself a Pretty Cure..” He says before another voice speaks up causing Nadoka to freeze.

“Shameful indeed.” She heard as she turned to see a familiar face. “Tanomi San?” Nodoka questions as Tanomi and Nozomi appear before her. “This poor boy wants your help and yet you choose to deny him.” Tanomi says. “Yeah! Why do you have to be so mean! That’s not what being a Pretty Cure is all about Nadoka San!” Nozomi says angered as Nodoka looks on in shock. “But he…” Nodoka starts to say before more people appear. “But nothing! You're so cruel Nodoka San!” Hana says as she and her group arrive. “Yeah! You're so horrible!” Hikaru says as she and her group arrive as well. “You don’t deserve to be a cure if that’s what you're gonna say to someone who needs help!” Nozomi says as she grabs her healing stick and causes her to detransform as a result.

“Wha..what.” Nodoka says pained as Nozomi, Hana, Hikaru and the other Pretty Cures glare at her as more and more arrive. Ones she had no idea of and ones she heard of thanks to the past teams she met. All soon chant different things at her. “Monster!” “Jerk!” “Evil!” “DEMON!” They all shout till even Asumi appears along with Chiyu and Hinata. “No everyone, what Nadoka is, is that of a disgrace. A disgrace to our group's name..and one who we don’t ever wanna be associated with again.” Asumi says as the other two nod with Hinata even looking back and glaring hatefully at Nadoka before she and the others all vanish with only her left in a void. “No..everyone..please come back. I am not a disgrace! Please listen to me!! PLEASE!!” Nadoka yells as tears begin to fall from her face. “Please..come back..” Nodoka says sadly as she falls to the ground. “Maybe if you were like the other Pretty Cures you would have saved me. But no..you were selfish, horrible and nothing but a cruel monster.” Dazuen’s voice echoes in the void as Nodoka flinches hearing his voice as it continues to taunt her over and over and over..

“NO!” Nodoka shouts as she picks herself up from her bed. As she yells though everyone in the room awakens and sits up. “ Nodoka?” The group says as they all look at her, seeing her breathing heavily and shaking a bit. “Oh gosh Nodoka Chi!” Hinata says as she rushes to her friend's side and puts a hand on her shoulder. “Nodoka what’s wrong?” Asumi and Chiyu question as Nodoka looks at them sadly but doesn't say a word. “ Nodoka did you have a nightmare again, Rabi?” Nodoka hears as a floating bunny flies near her face.

“Rabirin..girls..I..did have a nightmare.” Nodoka says as her heartbeat starts to slow back down as the girls look worried. “What happened? You know you can tell us anything right?” Hinata says comfortingly as she places a hand on Nodoka's. As she does both Asumi, Chiyu, and Rabirin all give her the same expression along with Ratte and the other fairies. “Well..I dreamt of being in the woods with Daruzen.” Nodoka says as Hinata growls. “That jerk, what did he want?” She questions angrily as Nodoka continues.

“He said I let him die. I told him I wouldn’t help him after all he did just like I did before but then..Nozomi San and Tanomi San appeared. They told me that I was wrong for not helping him. Then Hikaru San and Hana San. And then all the Pretty Cures appeared. Everyone said I was wrong. Then they started to chant cruel things to me..and even worse they took away my healing stick. They said I shouldn’t be a Pretty Cure anymore because of what I did.” Nodoka says as tears begin to fall once more. Hinata and the others look outraged. “What! Those jerks!” Hinata says as Chiyu sighs.

“Hinata it was a dream they were not actually saying that.” Chiyu says. “Yeah..but then..you guys appeared and Asumi told me that I was a..disgrace. Then you all left me..as Daruzen's voice taunted me.” Nodoka says as Hinata looks at her girlfriend. Nodoka was still tearing up as Hinata removed her hand from Nodoka's and soon hugged the girl with all her might, shocking her. “Hinata.” Nodoka says before Hinata cuts her off.

“You're not a disgrace, Nodokacchi. You're one of the kindest, most loving and caring people I know.” She says as Nodoka looks at her. “You didn’t let Daruzen live because he was a monster. He hurt your family, he hurt your friends, he hurt us, but most importantly he hurt you.” Hinata says. “I agree with Hinata. He used you. Forced you to live in a hospital for most of your childhood and even worse he tried to do it again. All so he and another of his kind could form to wreak havoc on the world.” Chiyu says.

“He was a monster..all the Bogyans were. They and their king would do nothing but destroy the world we live in. So you deciding not to save him would never be a disgrace no matter how you look at it.” Asumi says. “Yeah! What they say! Nodoka it was your choice and no one should have had a say in it besides you, rabi.” Rabirin says as Nodoka smiles at her friends. “And I am sure the other Pretty Cures won’t think you are a disgrace either, rabi.” Rabirin said as Chiyu nodded. “Yes, the others would understand if you told them what he did.” Chiyu says.

“They would support you for all you did as a Pretty Cure and as a person.” Asumi says as Hinata faces Nodoka. “And if they don’t..well they would have to deal with me!” Hinata says with confidence as Nodoka looks at her girlfriend and friend as tears fall a bit faster. “Everyone..thank you so much!” Nodoka says as the others all nod. “Of course, anything for a friend.” Chiyu says. “We will support you no matter what.” Asumi says. “Bet on it!” Hinata says as Rabirin nods happily as Nodoka's frown turns to a smile as she shines it on all her friends as the room glows with its radiance and joy. “Thank you everyone!” Nodoka says as she hugs everyone in her team with renewed strength and passion as they smile seeing their friend return to her normal ways. “Anyway we should go back to sleep. We have a big day tomorrow.” Chiyu says ever the responsible one as Asumi and Nodoka nod.

“Yeah..” Nodoka says as she stares at her bed with a bit of worry still showing. “Nodokacchi.” Hinata says as Nodoka looks at her. “Yes?” She questions. “If you want I can sleep with you. So that if you still feel scared or have another nightmare you can hold onto me.” Hinata says as Nodoka looks at her and blushes a bit by how she phrased it although she soon nods. “Okay Hinata thank you.” Nodoka says as Hinata smiles. “Hey, anything for my..” Hinata says as Nodoka finishes it. “Girlfriend.” Nodoka says with a giggle as Hinata smirks. “Yep.” Hinata says as the couple soon lay in Nodoka's bed together with Hinata and her holding hands the rest of the night. Both girls with a serene and content look on their faces.

After the little discussion during the night, the girls had fallen back asleep with everyone seemingly having a much better sleep. That was until the dreaded alarm woke up the girls. Once it did, Nodoka and the others soon got dressed, ate breakfast, packed up their sleeping bags in the case of Hinata and Chiyu, and soon waited to be picked up by the Pretty Cure’s personal delivery boy Syrup. Soon enough they would see the bird creature as he landed in a clearing nearby the home to avoid Nodoka's parents seeing. Once they saw him land the girls trudged over to him soon shocked by a familiar face with them. “Hey you guys!” Nozomi calls as she gets off of Syrup.

“Nozomi San?” Chiyu questions as Nodoka tenses a little. “What are you doing here?” Asumi questions as the magenta haired girl giggles. “Oh sorry! Syrup was making his trip and well I kinda wanted to go with him to see you guys!” Nozomi says as Hinata smiles. “Well it’s good to see you too!” Hinata says as the two exchange a hug as Nozomi soon does so for everyone. Even a slightly tense Nodoka who still accepts it happily. “Nozomi we should get these guys going. They can’t be late for their party, Ropa” Syrup says as Nozomi nods. “Common guys let’s get moving!” Nozomi says as Chiyu and the others step up to board Syrup as Nodoka stays there for a few seconds before a hand interlocks with her own. Just by the warmth she could tell who it was but soon Hinata’s voice perked up. “It’s okay, remember. We are with you.” Hinata says as Nodoka looks and nods as the two walk onto Syrup together.

Soon the bird took off once more and before the girls knew it they were in Yokohama, the city the original Pretty Cure All Stars protected from the monster called Fusion. This site was one they were told every team had their, “Good job saving the world from your enemy party!”. With that said the decorations in this area were incredible and the food on display looked delectable to everyone including Nozomi which the Healin Good 4 soon noticed when she started salivating. As they landed through another group of familiar faces appeared. “Hey guys!” Hana yells loudly as Hikaru steps up.

“Glad you guys are here! You beat our time when we had our party!” Hikaru says as Yuni sighs. “That’s because you took too long to get ready-nya.” Yuni says as Hikaru blushes while everyone else giggles. “So you guys are the Healin Good Pretty Cures.” A voice speaks up as they see two girls, one with short orange hair and the other with long blue hair walk to Hana and the others. “Yes we are. Which team are you guys?” Hinata questions as the orange girl smiles. “Me, Honoka and Hikari are the Pretty Cure Max Heart. We were one of the first teams alongside Nozomi and Saki’s teams.” The orange haired girls say happily.

“Oh wow that makes you like the super senpai’s!” Hinata says as the girl looks at her with pride. “Ha guess we are eh Honoka.” The girl says, elbowing her friend as she rolls her eyes. “That means you guys are super old right?” Hinata questions as the orange girl falls to the ground. “You kinda walked into that one Nagisa.” Honoka comments as the girl sighs. “Arenai” She says mopy as the group giggles at Hinata’s comment even if Chiyu sighs at her disrespectfulness to a legendary Pretty Cure. “Anyway we hope you all enjoy the party. We have a few tables set up for you guys to chat with other Cures. Once we hit 12:00 we have some activities and stuff set up as well as lunch.” Honoka says as the girls all nod as Honoka takes away her despondent teammate.

As they do, Nodoka faces Nozomi. “Um Nozomi San.” Nodoka speaks as she and the others look at her. “Yes Nadoka San.” Nozomi says as Nodoka gives her a confident look. “I wanted to see your sister and her group if that’s okay.” Nodoka says as Nozomi smiles brightly. “Oh sure thing! They are over there near the table closest to the stage.” Nozomi says pointing as the four girls look to see Tanomi with a bunch of people just as Nozomi said. As Nodoka looks she flinches before nodding. “Okay..” Nodoka says as she starts to walk to them as the others follow. “Nodokacchi what are you doing!” Hinata says worriedly as Nodoka looks at Hinata. “Well..I wanna be honest with them. I want them to know what I did and that I do not regret it. That’s the best way to stop this guilt and worry.” Nodoka says as Hinata looks a bit worried as Chiyu nods. “Okay Nodoka.” Chiyu says as Hinata looks at her. “We have faith in you.” Asumi says as Hinata looks to her as well before turning back to Nodoka. “I..I agree with them. But just be careful.” Hinata says as Nadoka nods. “Of course I have you by my side don’t I?” Nodoka says as she grabs Hinata’s hand. As she does this Nodoka nods. “Of course!” She says enthusiastically as the group heads over.

Although, Tanomi soon spots them first and waves. “Oh Nodoka San! Everyone!” Tanomi yells as the group walks to her as the others of this group stare. Although among them is Ruru who smiles at them. “Good to see you guys again.” Ruru says as Hinata looks confused. “Ruruchi? Your in the Redemptives?” Hinata questions as Ruru nods with Tanomi speaking up. “Oh my fault I didn’t mention Ruru San also being in this group yesterday.” Tanomi says as a girl in red speaks up. “Oh you already talked with them about it?” Setsuna questions as Tanomi smiles. “Yes, although they said none of their villains ended up with them.” Tanomi says as Setsuna nods.

“That’s understandable. Although it is sad. I was expecting some new members to join. It has been awhile.” Setsuna says as Nodoka looks fearful before swallowing her fear, stands tall and opens her mouth. “Actually..I have to confess something.” Nadoka says as Setsuna and Tanomi look at her confused along with the others. “Um go on Nodoka San.” Tanomi says as Nodoka feels a squeeze from Hinata as she begins to speak. “I..heard from Nozomi San about how she and other Pretty Cures have saved their villains and in that way allowed them to become Redemptives such as yourself. And I wished to explain..I could have saved one of my villains but I chose not to.” Nodoka says as Tanomi looks at Nadoka confused. “Oh and why did you do that?” Tanomi questions curiously as Nadoka looks down before sighing.

“He..his name was Daruzen. He was the first of the generals we fought. And I would soon learn that he was the one who caused me to be hospitalized when I was little.” Nodoka says as the group's eyes are raised, including Tanomi. “You mean he caused you to be hospitalized during your childhood?” Tanomi questions as Nodoka nods. “Yes..and to help save him when he asked me to, I would have to give up my body to him and allow him to potentially inflict the same thing he did to me before. And because of that I choose to not save him. On top of his numerous attacks on my town, my friends, and my family.” Nodoka said with her head down before a voice spoke up.

“That monster!” Nodoka heard as she looked up and saw many of the people in this group look on in disgust. “How could he do that to you!” A blonde haired girl yelled as Nadoka looked confused. “Good thing you didn’t save him then. Anyone who would do that isn’t worth redemption.” A girl with green hair says as Setsuna looks at both. “I wouldn't word it as such but I have to agree with you Regina and Bibury.” Setsuna said as the others all nodded as Nodoka looked at them.

“Wait..you aren’t mad at me for not saving him?” Nodoka looks as Tanomi smiles. “ Nodoka San..why would we be mad at you?” Tanomi questions. “Because..because I could have saved someone but I didn’t..isn’t that what a Pretty Cure should do?” Nodoka questions with tears coming down her face in confusion as Setsuna frowns. “ Nodoka San. A Pretty Cure should save people but I can tell you from experience sometimes you can’t.” Setsuna says. “We are all lucky. We wanted to be saved and were saved. But our friends choose to do that. Because we showed them our good nature hidden below our darkness and pride. But if this boy from what you said he did to you and everyone else in your life, then I doubt he had a hidden good part of him. Also I know it can hurt to not be able to save someone regardless.” Setsuna says as Nodoka looks at them.

“In my case..I was once a villain to the Pretty Cures but because of Love and the others I was saved. And because of that I tried to reach out to many of my former allies. Some saw the truth and broke free and others..chose to stubbornly not accept help till they died.” Setsuna says with her hands clenching as a blonde man and black haired man next to her did the same. “But even if he did have some part of him that might’ve been good, you had no obligation to save him.” Sestuna says. “He ruined your life in many ways and because of that you choose to not save him. You were the only one who could have chosen to forgive, and you shouldn’t feel guilty for that choice. I know everyone here would not fault you for it.” Setsuna says as Nodoka looks as the other redemptives all nod.

“Yeah! Good thing that creep is gone!” Regina says as Bibury nods with Tanomi and Ruru nodding. “Besides the fact that you are so torn up about it despite what he did to you, shows how kind and loving you are. I can think of no one better than that to be a Pretty Cure.” Tanomi says as Nodoka begins to tear up. “Everyone, thank you so much.” Nodoka cries as Hinata and the others give her hugs and pats on the back as the Redemptives all smile at the loving scene.

From that part of the day on, Nodoka and her friends enjoyed their time together with the other Pretty Cures. They played many games and went to meet several teams making new long lasting friendships. But at the end of it Nodoka sat happily near a field of flowers basking in their colors in the sunset. As she did, another girl arrived near her. “Nodokacchi.” Hinata says as Nodoka looks up. “How are you feeling?” Hinata questions as Nodoka smiles. “I am good..I am happy everyone accepts us and I am glad the Redemptive are not mad.” Nodoka says as Hinata smiles. “Of course who could be mad at you.” Hinata says as Nodoka blushes happily.

“Thank you Hinata. You, Chiyu, and Asumi as well as the others were the best people I could ask for today. You gave me the courage to speak and the support to stand strong with my choice.” Nodoka says as Hinata smiles. “Of course! Anything for my girlfriend!” Hinata says as Nodoka stands up. “Yeah.” She says as she moves closer to Hinata and gives her a kiss on the cheek. “I love you Hinata. Thank you for everything.” Nadoka says blushing as Hinata blushes but smiles. “Of course Nodokachi! I love you too!” Hinata says as the two teens soon relax in the field of flowers as Nodoka and her fall asleep on each other. Fortunately with Hinata and Nodoka's face it seemed like their dreams were happy and fun. Yes it seems these two were feelin good after all, especially Nodoka.

Chapter Text

A doorway opens to the throne room as a large mermaid looks on and smiles. In the doorway emerges five different haired girls as well as four different creatures of the sea. One a female purple sea cucumber, another a male blue hermit crab, and a female green haired shrimp. Finally was the only one that was different as it was a gold colored male seahorse who seemed damaged from a battle with his suit ripped a little. Another difference was that the green haired shrimp seemed to be pulling him by a rope he was bound to. As they approached the women on the throne smiled.

“It seems you have made it back to us in one piece girls.” The woman says warmly as one of the group, a girl with pink hair grins. “Of course your majesty. I told you we could handle it.” Laura says with confidence as the others slightly sighed at her attitude but a girl with auburn hair smiles. “Yep we did it! We managed to give the Witch Of Delay’s a super tropical shining ending!” Manatsu says as the queen nods. “I see. And what of them?” She questions pointing to the four sea creatures as three of them nod to the Queen.

“We wished to come and say our apologies.” The purple sea cucumber, Numeri says as the others bow. “Yeah we have kinda messed up a lot.” The hermit crab, Chongire says with a small sigh. “And we really wanted to say we are super dooper sorry for all we did to help the Witch.” The green haired shrimp girl, Elda says with a cute bow. “I see.” The queen says as Minatsu speaks up.

“If I may be your majesty, they are not all bad! They helped us fight off Butler and his minions when he betrayed them!” Manatsu says as the others on the team nod to this with the three looking a bit shocked but still smiling at the girl's kindness. “Well then I see no reason to see them as bad. Although what of the last of them?” The queen speaks as the girls and the trio look to the tied up butler named..Butler as they speak.

“Well we wanted to bring him to see if you wanted to put him away so he doesn't try to destroy the world again.” Chongire says as the woman looks and then nods. “Very well and what of you Butler. Do you have anything to say?” She questions as the creature sighs. “Do with me what you wish.” Butler says as Chongire sighs. “We gave you your motivation back, the least you could do is speak up.” Chongire says as the creature nods. “Very well but that is true. I am already without my job or my Witch so my life has no meaning. So throw me in whatever cell you choose. I won’t fight anymore..” Butler says with sadness as Minatsu and the others look onto their former enemy with pity.

“Well if your life has no meaning then allow me to give you that meaning. For all of you.” The queen says as the four sea creatures look to her in confusion along with the girls. “What do you mean your majesty?” They question. “You all have lost someone valuable to you. Someone who gave your lives purpose and now without her you have lost your job and home. So then I shall give you a new purpose if you wish for it. My kingdom has a need for workers of all kinds no matter what species. So if you need work then I could grant you that.” The Queen says as the trio and Butler look surprised.

“Really you guys need a maid?” Elda questioned. “A chief?” Chongire says. “And a nurse?” Numeri questions as the queen nods to all three. “Yes. Your skills would be invaluable to the kingdom.” She says as the three sparked up. “I mean work is always a bit of a drag but if it’s something to give us a home then I think we should do it.” Chongire says. “As long as we all can live together!” Elda says as Numeri nods. “Of course Elda Chan.” She says warmly as Chongire nods to the shrimp girl. “Then let’s do it!” She cheers.

“As for you Butler.” The queen begins as the sea creature faces her. “You have two choices. You can work to make up for what you did and find a sense of redemption or you can serve out your time in our prison. The choice is yours.” She says as the Butler looks at her. “If I can choose then I would prefer to work. As a butler I would want to work with anyone who needs me to and if this service would pay off my debut to you all then I choose that choice.” Butler says as the Queen nods.

“Very well then. But for now I wish for you to wait in the halls for more information on the type of jobs our kingdom offers. I need to discuss with the Pretty Cures something important.” The queen says as the trio and Butler nod as they shuffle off. As they do, Minatsu smiles at them. “I hope this will allow them to Tropical Shine someday.” Minatsu says as a purple haired girl smiles. “I am sure they will be Minatsu.” Sango says as Minatsu smiles at her friend as they look back at the queen.

“Firstly you must have my thanks for all you've done for our kingdom and your own world. You all have done well and lived up to the title of Legendary Pretty Cures. And for that I am proud of all of you including you Laura.” She says as Laura blushes. “Thank you, your majesty.” Laura says with joy as the others smile as well. “But on the topic of you Laura I must inform you..you will not be queen anytime soon.” She says as Laura and the others are shocked.

“What!” They yell. “But your majesty Laura risked her life to save the whole world with us!” the red haired girl, Asuka says. “Yes and she has grown so much since coming to our world! She would be a great queen!” The brown haired girl, Minori nods. “Yes she is a caring, compassionate person.” Sango says as Minatsu nods. “Yeah and besides she’s been training her whole life to do it!” Manatsu defends as Laura looks at the others with a smile. “Everyone.” Laura says happily as the queen smiles before continuing to speak.

“Please allow me to explain. Laura will not be queen anytime soon because I have decided to make a few changes to our kingdom.” She says as the group goes silent as she continues. “Firstly after learning the truth of the Witch of Delays and Cure Oasis, and seeing the effects of Laura and the others, I have chosen to disband our longstanding rule of the memory eraser.” She says as Laura looks shocked.

“Your majesty.” She says. “It’s something that has caused pain to those affected and has prevented our species from bonding with humans and others. As such it must be changed.” She says. “That’s incredible your majesty!” Manatsu says happily as the queen nods. “As for why this connects to your queenship I wish to delay it to allow you to be the best queen you can be. As such I wish for you to continue to live on the surface and grow. To meet with and learn more about humans and other species as a way to make your future role as queen better. So you can lead the kingdom to a brighter future than the reign of myself and those before you.” She says as Laura looks shocked.

“Although in the case of continuing to live with others I wish to ask for your own feelings on the matter. If you choose to stay here that is completely fine.” She says as Laura cuts her off. “I choose to be with Manatsu and the others..please, your majesty.” She says as the queen looks and nods. “Very well then. With that said that is all I have to say on the matter. I hope you can now relax Pretty Cures. You deserve it.” She says as the group nods and cheers happily.

Back on the surface that night the whole of the Tropical Club room happily celebrated. Food, decorations and other things were all brought to make the night special. As they did though, a few members talked separately. “Laura please don’t get a big head from it.” Minori says as Laura smirks. “Oh right I know. But I mean after all I have grown I feel you don’t have to worry.” Laura says as Minori sighs. “I regret making my comment now.” Minori says. “Oh common you said I would be a great queen! Of course I am flattered by it.” Laura says playfully as Minori blushes.

“Yeah Laura is gonna be a good queen!” Manatsu says as she hugs Laura as she smirks. “She will be a good queen but I do think having her with us for a while longer will be nice.” Sango says as Laura smirks. “Oh thank you Sango. I know my presence is something everyone will be thankful for.” Laura says as Asuka rolls her eyes. “Well that’s fantastic. Now she’s gone full Laura mood again.” Asuka says as Laura pouts. “Hey!” She yells as the group laughs. As they do though Laura smiles softly.

“I suppose to be a bit more serious. I was happy when you all defended me in front of the Queen. It made me really happy and..it kinda helped to soften the blow of learning I wouldn’t be queen anytime soon. But…” Laura says as she looks at the others with a sincere smile. “I am glad I get to have a few more years with you all. It makes me excited.” Laura says as the others all smile at this. “Of course Laura!
