All for Love | Anakin Skywalker

Summary:

Darth Sidious had promised you that he held the power to save Anakin Skywalker. Just as he made the very same promise to him. Neither of you was aware of his manipulation and only to realize it once it’s too late.

Work Text:

The room was spinning as you tried to control and contain yourself. Your thoughts were scattered around. Palpatine had taken notice of your weakened state.

All of this was too perfect, Anakin Skywalker had turned to the dark side. Now with you along, the power he held was unstoppable. You were a great asset to keep.

To be used against Anakin Skywalker but also to install fear. Everyone across the galaxy knew how powerful as a duo you were.

"Good, good job." Palpatine stepped down. He leaned over smiling at you as he gave your arm a gentle squeeze.

You stood there like a deer stuck in headlights. This was wrong, what you had done was unforgivable but it was too late. The blood was already on your hands.

The Jedi wouldn't accept you. Not after working for a Sith lord.

You had to remind yourself who you were doing this all for. This was for Anakin, Palpatine was the only person who could help.

He promised if you listened and did his dirty work then he'd teach you how to save Anakin.

While on the other side of the city, Anakin had already begun. He was headed over towards the temple where the younglings were. In an attempt to save you as well.

His visions showed you being murdered in battle. While yours had shown him being burned alive in Mustafar. Neither of you had any clue when or what else they could've meant.

All you knew was that his fate wouldn't end so cruelly as long as you were still alive. Palpatine had played you both like a fiddle.

It made him laugh at how weak one of the Jedi’s strongest duo was. All because you loved someone.

"Why the long face?" Palpatine circled you. He worried that you were coming to your senses. Based on your stance alone you were conflicted.

You stood there in the center of the room staring at the thick liquid on your hands. It stained your cuticles red as it dried. Your hands felt disgusting, both because of what you had done and the way they stuck to your skin.

"I just killed a Master." You couldn't look over in Mace Windu's direction.

"Yes, yes you did amazing." Palpatine stepped towards you.

Guiding your face he held your cheeks to force you to meet his eye. You didn't pull away.

"I didn't want to kill him." You mumbled.

"But you did." Palpatine moved his hands away from your face. You dropped your head back down.

"What have I done?" Your voice shakes. It finally registered. The blood on your hands was Mace Windu's. You drove the killing blow through his body.

"You were given no other choice. My dear, if you want to save Anakin Skywalker you must complete Order 66." Palpatine said.

You looked up at him, meeting his eyes finally.

Palpatine could feel it, he was starting to lose you. This wasn't good, had he not planted enough seeds? Were the visions he was sending not enough? Was Anakin Skywalkers' life not of importance?

That couldn't be true. Anakin Skywalker was the most important person in the galaxy at least to you.

"Promise?" You said lowly. Even he didn't hear you.

"If I do this, you'll save Anakin's life." You needed him to say it. Promise that he would help you once this was over.

"Yes, of course. Lord Azrael," Palpatine placed his hand gently onto your shoulder. You waited patiently for his next instructions but what he wanted was for you to address him differently.

The name he had given to you meant angel of death, it was the new beginning. At least for you, you'll become his soldier. Carrying out the destruction of anyone who dared him.

You were no longer a Jedi Knight but a Sith Lord. "Yes, master." You addressed him the way he had wanted.

Palpatine wanted nothing more than to smile. This was too easy, you and Anakin were fools. Blinded by love, a weakness he couldn't imagine having.

"Go to the Jedi temple, kill the remaining Jedi before they leave. Free the prisoners while you're at it." By now Anakin should be done with the younglings. The clones would be gone and following behind him.

It was a simple task with the Jedi Temple in shambles the last line of defense would be weak. The more that he could gain on his side the better.

"Yes, master." You repeated.

"Good, good. Now hurry." He ushered for you to leave. You did as told, running out of the building and into your speeder.

Artoo was still outside waiting for you like you had told him to. He beeped before spinning around, excited to see you.

It was lonely waiting for you. "Hurry, get in." You told the droid. Artoo wasted no time not wanting to risk being left alone again.

Once he was settled into his spot you turned on the speeder and took off. The Jedi Temple wasn't far from where you were but it was hard with all the panic.

If no one had known the Jedi were being attacked then everyone did now. The sky was frantic as people flew in all directions. Even up high you could hear their screams, they were all confused having no one to trust.

You landed safely at the Temple. Artoo was ready to follow you but you couldn't have that. "Stay behind with the ship. I'll be back." You told him sternly.

Artoo beeped sadly and whirled back to the ship. You left him behind not bothering to look back at the droid.

It was exceptionally quiet, not that it normally wasn't but this was different. You entered inside expecting to see someone but there was no one at the front.

Which was weird, you continued your way inside. Still, no one came out, either no one was left inside or they were good at hiding.

You continued to walk straight that was until you slipped. Nearly falling because of something on the floor.

There was no way it was your shoes, you had worn them plenty of times without falling. You looked down at your feet to see what the culprit was.

Instead of it being something like water or maybe spilled soup from the cafeteria it wasn't. The liquid staining the floor was blood.

There was so much you wondered how you hadn't smelled it. The floor was covered in it, the usual white marble was dirtied. You looked down at your hands looking at the dried blood and then back at the floor.

Too late to care anymore. You continued to step through the blood, each step caused it to splash. The ends of your cloak were going to be dirty by the time you were done.

You began scanning around the halls trying to look for any signs of life. Just when you were ready to give up the search you noticed footprints on the floor.

They led to a room. You walked over handing hovering over the knob. There was someone inside just standing by the door you could feel it.

Yanking the door open you entered the room. The faces of the three padawans huddled in the corner softened. They were safe. Finally, they were rescued.

They walked away from the corner calling out your name. The three of them expected you to smile, reassure them, and rush them out. But you did none of that.

You stood there still and it worried them. The girl with the short hair called out your name again. Nothing happened, you didn't move.

That voice that happened to belong to Palpatine called out. It muttered horrible things, encouraging you to do the job.

You had to do this you told yourself. He was right, complete the task. It was such an easy one, you had killed before but not like this.

The voice was growing louder and you were done fighting. You gave in.

The boy looked over to his friends, it was a look of doom. You weren't there to save them.

They watched in horror as your lightsaber turned on. The humming followed by the bright color of green lit up the room. Even if they wanted to run or hide it was no use. You were far stronger than they were.

"Please," The girl begged as tears leaked from her eyes. You stalked over ignoring her screams.

Raising the saber you struck the three padawans across their bodies. The bottom halves fall first followed by the rest of their bodies.

Their blood splattered at your feet. You didn't want to waste another second staring at them. Turning away you left the room.

Continuing your journey through the hall. You repeated what you had already done. Killing anyone who was left. By the time you had reached the end, there was a path of bodies behind you.

Not once did you bother to look back. You couldn't even if you wanted. With each time you drove your lightsaber into their bodies you reminded yourself.

This was for Anakin, you were doing this all for him.

The last thing left to do was free the prisoners. You walked down the stairs leading towards the prison.

No one seemed to check up on them considering what was happening upstairs. Convincing them to join Darth Sidious's plan shouldn't be hard.

You forced the door open, entering the large room. Inside were cells that were lined up while in the dead center was a long hallway.

Your presence didn't go unnoticed. Everyone in their cells rushed towards their doors to get a peak.

They had heard the commotion upstairs and wondered what was happening.

"Your savior has arrived." You announced yourself dramatically.

As a collective, they all cheered at the news. "Thank me later but for now you must lend your hands. Help us, help Darth Sidious in executing Order 66." You paused before continuing.

"Failure to do so will result in your death. If not by me then Sidious himself." You walked over to each cell unlocking it.

There was a man in one of the cells, he looked into your eyes for just a second. That was all he needed to see your eyes flicker to yellow. The yellow only the Sith had.

No one dared to rush out, they were terrified of you. They had seen you before and you were nothing like you were now. Not only did you look different but you were stained with blood that was not yours.

You were a Jedi and suddenly now you worked for the Sith Lord?

Was this a trap? While others moved to leave some stood behind in their cell. You left them not caring enough to follow after. What they did next was the least of your concern. They weren't stupid enough to disobey, at least not yet.

Your task was done but you weren't. There was no way you'd leave the temple dirty. You headed over towards your room not caring enough about everything around.

Once inside you stripped yourself down, and you tossed the dirty clothes aside. There wasn't time for a shower but you could wash off the blood. You stood over the sink scrubbing at your arms.

Digging deep into your cuticles you cleaned it all off. You reached over grabbing a towel to dry your arms.

Wasting no time you slipped into clean clothes, your Jedi robes. Grabbing your lightsaber you attached it back to your belt.

As if nothing had happened you walked around the blood not wanting to dirty yourself again. You could finally leave and not worry about returning.

There was nothing here for you anyways, you didn't live in your room anymore. After what you had done there was no doubt you'd ever be welcomed past the main gate. That was if there were even Jedi left.

You felt incredibly sick. It was hard to make out if it was the metallic smell getting to you or not. All that you knew was that you needed to get away from here.

Any longer and you'd collapse to the floor. Your head was spinning along with nausea creeping up your throat.

You spotted Artoo ahead still waiting. "Hey," You spilled down at the droid. Artoo didn't respond, he rolled back to his spot. You frowned at his quietness, it was unlike him.

"We're going home buddy," You reassured Artoo.

Still silent you sighed before hopping into your speeder. You hadn't realized how quickly you zoned out while flying home. It didn't register until you landed. Your body had gone into autopilot.

"I nearly killed us." You joked as you climbed out. Artoo beeped before rushing ahead inside leaving you in the dust.

There was another speeder that was far too familiar parked which meant Anakin was home. That explained why Artoo was in such a rush.

You ran inside excited to see him.

He was standing there with his back turned towards you looking out at Coruscant. Anakin sensed your presence but he didn't move.

"Did you hear what happened at the Temple?" He asked you. You furrowed your eyebrows.

"Yeah, I was worried about you." You walked up to his side. Anakin turned to face you. His eyes softened as he stared down at you.

Reaching up his gloved hand caressed your cheek. You smiled as you leaned into his touch.

"I'm glad you're alright." You smiled. "Me too, I don't know what I'd do without you." Anakin choked.

You leaned up pulling him down, you wrapped your arms around his neck. He held you tightly as he placed his flesh hand against the back of your head in hopes of bringing you closer.

Closing your eyes you took in his familiar scent. You missed this, you missed him. All this war was exhausting you barely had time to be with each other anymore.

"I missed you," You mumbled into his cloak.

"I know," He kissed the side of your head. You pulled away from him slowly. Anakin wasn't done, he still hadn't finished.

All that was left was to murder the Separatists on Mustafar but he couldn't bring himself to leave. He had just gotten you back but at least once this was all over you would be safe. Then you wouldn't have to worry about being apart ever again.

The two of you would be free, free to rule the galaxy just the way things were supposed to be.

"Anakin, I love you." You mumbled. He frowned not liking the tone of your voice.

"Why does that sound like a goodbye?" He asked.

"It isn't, I just wanted you to know there's nothing I wouldn't do for you." You meant that full-heartedly.

He worried that you were still stuck in his nightmares. The ones he shared with you about your death. He wanted you to know everything was going well.

"Have faith my love soon things will be set alright." He looked at you lovingly. Your heart ached. You wanted to correct him and tell him things will be fine because of you. All the sacrifices you've made but you couldn't.

You had never told Anakin about yours. They didn't make sense how they came before his. It was a strange coincidence you never looked far into.

Not once did it occur that Palpatine was the one responsible.

"I have to go." He dropped the bomb. Your heart fell. Why was he saying goodbye?

"I'll be back before you know it." He reassured you.

You wanted to ask him what this was about but you couldn't. The words wouldn't form despite them sitting at the tip of your tongue.

Anakin pulled away from you. Where his skin once touched yours had gone cold. You frowned as you watched him walk away. He didn't bother to look back.

Leaving you alone you wondered what was next. How much longer did you have to wait for Darth Sidious's response?

You saw Artoo zoom past you but you paid no mind. Threepio came out of your room.

"Master Skywalker, are you alright?" He noticed your fatigued look.

"I told you don't call me that."

Threepio ignored you, he walked up to your side. Before he could offer his help you turned away. He was the only one besides Artoo and Padme Amidala that knew about your relationship with Anakin.

You didn't consider the droids as actual people but they were around enough to be considered. They might've been droids but you cared deeply about them.

"You don't look so good." Threepio pointed out.

"Genius observation." You muttered sarcastically. Artoo shrieked at your attitude and you just shook your head.

"Have a seat," He wasn't going to give up. You also could've used a moment to rest.

Listening to his orders you sat down on the chair. Moments later you jumped up from the seat. You rushed over to the bathroom, lifting the seat you released the contents from your stomach into the toilet.

Artoo stood outside the door worried about your condition.

Once you started throwing up it felt impossible to stop. It didn't help how sick you were feeling for the past week.

Luckily you hadn't thrown up but that meant you were no longer lucky. "Should I comm Master Skywalker?" Threepio asked.

You lifted your head off the toilet and yelled at the droid. He was horrified so he rushed away leaving you alone. Artoo was too stubborn, he couldn't leave you just yet.

"I'm fine, Artoo." You pushed yourself up.

Heading over to the sink you cleaned your face followed by your mouth.

You wiped your face dry so you could sit back down but lucky you. The door chimed signaling someone was outside. You groaned as you walked over.

Throwing up helped a little but not enough. Outside stood Obi-wan with his arms crossed across his chest.

"What are you doing here?" You asked the man.

"Eager to see me as always." He sighed. You stepped aside to let him in.

Despite just finding out about your betrayal of the Republic you looked exceptionally fine. If he hadn't seen the footage then he wouldn't have guessed it.

Either you were amazing at this or you had managed to block out everything. Whether it was either one of those options he needed to know why.

Why did Anakin Skywalker fall to the dark side with you?

"Now isn't a good time." You said awkwardly.

He took a look at your appearance, you looked a little sick but nothing insanely serious.

"How so?" Obi-wan looked around the apartment. Everything looked normal. "Wait, why are you here?" It registered how weird it was for him to be there.

You adored Obi-wan, he was like family but an unprompted visit like this was strange. Obi-wan went to respond but you weren't focused.

It must've been a bug you contracted but that didn't make sense.

His mouth was moving but you couldn't understand him. It was like he was speaking gibberish. He caught on and frowned.

"Sorry," You apologized.

"I saw what you did at the Temple." He blurted.

Those words registered. Everything else was unintelligible. You looked up at him with furrowed eyebrows as you played your part. "What are you talking about?" You asked him.

"Yodi showed me the hologram of you and the Sith Lord. You freed prisoners and slaughtered Padawans along with Jedi." He wasn't going to beat around the bush.

"I don't know what you're talking about." You shook your head.

"Lord Azrael." He blurted. Your body went rigid and you couldn't help it.

You were expecting him to take his saber and strike it through you but he couldn't. He cared too much about you.

At the very least he wanted to try to speak to you. See if you were still there inside and it seemed like you were.

You pushed away from the table, you felt sick again. This time it was a different kind of sick.

It was like you could hear Palpatine's cruel voice echoing inside your head. The voice was yelling at you to do the first move against Obi-wan. Strike him down. It kept on going and going but you couldn't do that.

Obi-wan took a step towards you but you yelled at him, your eyes flashed yellow. He stood there frozen, not sure what to do.

You held a hand over your stomach as you tried to breathe. Obi-wan looked down at your hand. He furrowed his eyebrows.

"Are you?" He couldn't finish the sentence. You were confused.

"What?" You spat out harshly. Obi-wan motioned toward your stomach. You pulled away your hand.

"No, of course not. That's impossible."

Defensive. Obi-wan was going to take your response as a yes.

Even if you weren't sure yourself. You expected to ask who the father might've been but he knew. The baby would be Anakin's no doubt of that.

He had always known just never mentioned it. Obi-wan knew his former Padawan brought you joy and you did for him.

If his turning a blind eye meant ignoring it then so be it. He wasn't lying to the Council if he never got verbal confirmation.

"Shut up." You yelled and the things on the table went flying. They flew off the table and into the wall. The glass shattered and everything smacked to the ground. He furrowed his eyebrows. Obi-wan didn't say a word. You weren't yelling at him.

Obi-wan said your name gently. He was hoping to guide you from whatever was pulling you under.

"You don't have to do this. Whoever is forcing you to do these things, you must tell me." He said carefully.

Looking up at him you laughed. Too late for that, Anakin's life was on the line. You had already slaughtered innocents, killed a Jedi Master, and freed criminals before sending them off to kill more.

"Anakin, he's fallen to the dark side." Obi-wan's new method seemed to work. You snapped your head in his direction, bringing your hand up to your stomach unconsciously.

"He hasn't." You were in denial. It made perfect sense that he did.

"He killed the younglings in the temple." He explained.

That meant all the blood was from Anakin. You suddenly felt sick. Anakin killed children and you were potentially carrying one.

He killed kids and so did you. Tears were brimming in your eyes. Obi-wan softened as he watched you choke up.

You brought your shaky hands up to your head. He wanted to comfort you but he couldn't do that.

"What have I done?" You were unstable.

Obi-wan needed to calm you down. Your emotions were everywhere, they were giving him a headache. Normally you were extremely well at concealing, hiding your signature through the force.

He worried that you would explode. You didn't care enough about any of that.

You repeated yourself over and over like a broken record. With your hands still over your head you paced.

"You can still fix things," Obi-wan said softly. That was a lie. It was far too late to even attempt to fix things. You wondered what this meant now.

The baby would be taken away from you. No doubt a child by Anakin Skywalker would be force sensitive. You wouldn't even get the pleasure of holding the child after birth.

"I can't fix anything." You laughed bitterly.

"Yes you can, help bring Anakin back. I'll do everything in my power to keep you and your child safe." Obi-wan said sincerely.

"You're lying to me." You didn't believe him. The promise wouldn't be hard to uphold considering there was no Council anymore. They were all dead and he had Darth Sidious, Anakin, and you to thank.

"I'm not, I promise." Obi-wan held his hand out. You stared down at it. Taking it meant accepting the deal, if you didn't then you'd be selfish. This wasn't just you anymore but if you accepted it then Anakin would be gone.

The deal with Sidious would be up. "Whatever Sidious has on you, let it go. We'll figure it out." Obi-wan was so close.

He could feel you reaching out to him. The last thing he wanted was to scare you off.

"You can't."

"Why not?" He asked you.

"Anakin dies if I do." You told him. He was confused now. Was this all for Anakin?

"Chancellor Palpatine promised me he'd save his life if I obeyed him." You chewed at the inside of your cheeks.

"That can't be true." He shook his head. "How so?" You tilted your head, confused at what he meant.

"He's using you, he can't make a promise like that. It's impossible." That was the wrong move. Obi-wan nearly flinches as the last word leaves his mouth. He can see you become hostile for just a moment.

"Chancellor Palpatine does not have the power to control death. Not even as a Sith Lord like he is. If you come, we can guarantee nothing happens to him." He paused.

"Just as much as you do, I can't imagine a world without Anakin Skywalker. He's far too stubborn and hotheaded." Obi-wan smiled softly. He held his hand out again.

You stared at it before taking a step, you grab his hand. Obi-wan smiles at you, he wastes no time pulling you in. He wrapped his arms around you gently, hugging you.

Obi-wan knows you need it. You never hugged him before and it makes you wish you had sooner.

"We have to hurry." He pulled apart from you.

"Of course." You nodded your head. Artoo beeped and you turned. "Of course, you can come." You responded.

Obi-wan is already at the entrance, you rush over with Artoo on your trail. You board the ship, Obi-wan is piloting and you don't protest.

Sitting there buckled in you can't help but think of Anakin. You think of every good moment you've spent with him. Even the ones that consisted of you hiding in the shadows with him.

They seemed so distant now. Like they were lifetimes ago and in a way they were. It had been so long since he held you.

Your heart ached to think about it. If things don't go as planned then that was all you had left of him. You hated yourself for being so negative but it wasn't just you now.

Unlike before you couldn't blindly throw yourself into death's arms. You had someone else to worry about.

"We're here," Obi-wan announced. You unbuckled yourself, you hadn't even realized you landed.

"I'll stay with the ship, if you need me I'll be there." Obi-wan has now unbuckled himself. He presses the button that opens the hatch.

You give his shoulder a good squeeze. Artoo is quick to follow but you tell him to stay. "Stay with the ship." You're stern. He knows you mean business so he doesn't test your already thin patience.

Walking off the ramp you hadn't expected to see him so soon. Anakin calls out your name and your smile. You rush to him.

He wraps his arms around you before lifting you momentarily. You hold him tightly as if the moment he lets go he'll evaporate.

"What are you doing here?" He questioned you.

"To get you." You breathed out. "Why? Why would you do that?" He's confused still.

"We don't need to kill anymore. I'm safe, you're safe. As long as we get far away from here." You reached up.

Your hands are playing with the hairs at the nape of his neck. Anakin closed his eyes for a moment before opening them back up.

"You don't get it. If I don't do this, you'll die. I won't let that happen." He is serious about this.

"Anakin, I had those visions too. I killed people because of what the Chancellor promised but now that I look back at them." You paused to look up at him.

"They're not real. He's using us, he's using you. Please don't let him continue." You fear he's not getting it. You're not getting through.

It's too late, it's too late for Anakin.

"Anakin, I'm pregnant." You breathed out.  If you couldn't get through to him then this should work. Dropping the bomb like this was your last line of defense.

He looks taken aback. Anakin blinks rapidly as he tries to comprehend what you said.

Once he understands he's smiling. Anakin Skywalker is going to be a father. He's excited and overwhelmed.

"That's great." He leaned down pressing a soft kiss against your lips. For that moment you've been transported away from Mustafar. It feels nice, you're reminded of the simplicity of the past.

He pulled away too quickly, you've pulled away from your dreams, and are now back on Mustafar.

"We can raise our baby somewhere safe, we won't have to worry about night terrors or Palpatine." You try again.

Anakin frowned and your heart sank. "Please," You said softly.

"Don't you see?" He's smiling now. You're begging for him to stop but he doesn't.

"We don't need to run away. With my new powers we can rule the galaxy, the way it's meant." His words crush you.

You're too late for him. Palpatine's claws are too deep in him. He's gone so far that not even you can drag him out.

"Anakin, don't do this." You're tearing up and you feel weak for doing so.

"Don't cry." His voice is soft and you almost fall for it.

"Anakin, you're breaking my heart." You choked out, on the verge of sobbing. Obi-wan can feel things going south just from sitting there. He can't take the chance.

"You're with him." Anakin spat out venomously. You turned to see who he was talking about. Obi-wan steps down from the ship.

"You turned her against me." He took a few steps in his direction.

"You only have yourself to blame." Obi-wan walked over. You can't give up yet not so soon.

"This is what Palpatine wants, Anakin think of our child." You're panicking now. Anakin doesn't seem to notice.

He paused, which struck a nerve in him. Anakin's thinking for a moment and that's good.

"He's trying to turn you against us. When have we ever not helped each other?" You want him to think back on all the good. Remind him there's still hope.

It doesn't last long and before you know it, Anakin's force choking you. You're clawing at your throat, trying to pry his invisible hands away.

Obi-wan yelled at him, he releases you and you fell to the floor. You're gasping trying to get the oxygen back into your lungs.

"What are you doing?" Obi-wan never expected him to hurt you, not like that. He's at your side checking that you're okay.

You're horrified at what Darth Sidious has done to Anakin. This wasn't the boy you had fallen in love with. He wasn't the one who protected you as children back in Tatooine and pleaded for you to come along.

The Jedi were so focused on him, he was the chosen one. They couldn't concern themselves with a girl who happened to be force sensitive.

There were plenty of other force-sensitive children, you weren't a chosen one. Anakin couldn't leave you behind to suffer. He pleaded with them and tried to make them see how beneficial it was for them.

That Anakin would've moved the planets for you and this one wouldn't.

You're still bent down on the floor afraid to move.

"You will not take her from me." He threatened Obi-wan. Anakin's circling him now.

"Your anger and your lust for power have already done that." Obi-wan moved away from you. He doesn't want you in the way if Anakin loses control.

"You have allowed this Dark Lord to twist your mind. Until now, you have become the very thing you swore to destroy." Obi-wan now understands how deep this goes. Palpatine has had these plans for Anakin since he arrived.

This was always the plan and he wishes he could've noticed sooner. Even if he did could he have changed the outcome?

"Don't lecture me, Obi-Wan. I see through the lies of the Jedi. I don't fear the Dark Side as you do." He sounds strange to you. So cold and distant.

"I have brought peace, freedom, justice, and security to my new Empire." Anakin's words are chilling.

Obi-wan still can't believe what he's hearing. "You're new Empire?" He doesn't want to believe his ears.

"Don't make me kill you." He muttered venomously.

You're up on your feet again and he glances at you before focusing back on Obi-wan.

Darth Vader watched as your hand hovered over your saber. He didn't like where this was going.

He's the first to make a move. With two against him, it has to be that way. Instead of charging Obi-wan, he's headed toward you.

There was barely anytime to grab your lightsaber to block his hit. The teal sparks light up your face as he pushed down.

Obi-wan uses force to pull him away. You're pregnant and this isn't safe in the slightest.

"What are you doing?" Obi-wan yelled at his former padawan. Vader doesn't answer, at least not with words. He yelled as he went over to charge Obi-wan.

His movements aren't the way they normally were. Darth Vader's head isn't focused, he acting purely on emotion. That's an advantage and both a disadvantage.

You went to follow them as they climbed up the platform.

This fight wasn't going to last long by the looks of it. Darth Vader has Obi-wan pinned to the ground. You rushed over using force you throw him off. Vader goes tumbling across the room.

He got up quickly before trying to make his way over to you. There's anger bubbling up deep inside him now, you can feel it.

Vader goes to swing his lightsaber but you're too quick. He's stronger than you but not faster, he never has been.

That was your advantage and you had to use it. Obi-wan uses his moment of confusion to get a strike but he's blocked. They had fought side by side for years they knew every attack. It was like fighting yourself in a sense.

With Darth Vader's back turned to you, you wanted to take the chance to bring him down. The platform underneath you shook, and you almost fell over.

He turned around to face you, and without hesitating, he grabbed your throat. Holding you up in the air as he choked you. You brought your legs back before kicking him in the chest.

Vader let you go and the both of you went tumbling. Before you could get up the platform began tilting.

The platform was melting, and the three of you looked at each other. Either you were too strict with each other down or focus on getting off safely.

You chose the best option and that was getting off the melting platform. The landing was rough but you made it carefully. Obi-wan followed right after you. Unlike Vader who waited too late.

The platform was too far, he wouldn't make a jump like that. His only option was to land on a broken piece of platform floating in the lava.

You were still recovering from the fall and Obi-wan took note of that. The decline in your health was worrisome. It was much more than just sickness.

Once this was over he needed to rush you to the Medical bay. Obi-wan helped you stand and you muttered a thank you.

Palpatine had landed on Mustafar without warning. You were too focused on the fight unfolding in front of you. There's not much you can do. His movements are sloppy and erratic.

"Don't," You shouted at him once you noticed his plan. There wasn't much you could do.

"It's over, Anakin! I have the high ground." Obi-wan said.

"You underestimate my power." He took a step toward the edge of the small floating platform.

Getting between them would result in your death. "Don't try it." You yelled out and watched in horror as Darth Vader jumped off.

Obi-wan had the high ground, there was no way he'd make it. His overconfidence had convinced him otherwise.

Vader's suddenly in the air aiming to attack Obi-wan but he doesn't make it.

Obi-wan sliced through his legs and they come off clean. Darth Vader goes falling and you screamed. You run to him and pulled him away from the lava in fear of him burning. Obi-wan doesn't have it in him to move. He can't even pull you away. That was the brother he just harmed.

You couldn't stop yourself from crying as you sat there on rocks holding him tight. Vader's not gone but he surely wishes he was. The pain is excruciating, he feels it burn all through his body. It's much worse than when he lost his arm.

Even despite all he had done and how far he had gone you can't bring yourself to not care. You had done the unspeakable for Anakin and yet he was still dying.

This could've been avoided if neither of you had fallen for the bait.

Obi-wan opened his mouth ready to speak, to try and help you but he never does. You're confused and just as you turn around to face him. His body fell to the ground with a thud. Obi-wan is dead.

He's been shot by a blaster from a Clone. You screamed as you stared in horror at your dead friend. His body is by you, his mouth is gaped open.

His expression haunted you. You feel sick, you can feel the bile rising in the back of your throat. You could handle war but not this.

Vader who's weakly laying in your arms is even horrified. Just the moment he's back, Anakin Skywalker is lying in your arms as he realizes Palpatine was responsible.

"Such a disappointment." Darth Sidious removed the hood from his head. You catch a better look at his new face.

As if Sidious would even want Anakin anymore you still cling to him as he does. "I was promised grand things from you both. Yet you cling to your dying lover as he dies." Darth Sidious is disgusted by the pair in front of him.

Such a shame. You had true potential but you were too weak. He should've known but no he didn't want to doubt you. It was a risk worth taking.

He sighed as he thought of all the power he would've held. At least he had Darth Vader instead of nothing.

Darth Sidious began to walk downhill to where you sat.

You won't budge and he grew annoyed. It's pathetic to see, your vision is blurrily and blocked by the tears. Your entire body is weak, you're still sick and you had just watched someone you loved die. Even as you sit here another person you cared for is dying.

"Stop," Anakin croaked. It's the first time he has spoken since he was injured. His hands tightly gripped your arms, clenching the fabric of your robes.

He's trying to stop Palpatine from getting any closer, he doesn't trust him not anymore. "Anakin?" You furrowed your eyebrows.

Darth Sidious doesn't seem to care.

You knew you couldn't stop him, Darth Sidious was far too strong and he was accompanied by Clones. Anakin could barely move in his state.

"Take him away." He motioned for the Clone beside him. You're panicked as you screamed at him but you can't do much.

Anakin looked up at you. He's scared, he's so scared. You don't want to let him go.

"It's okay." You tell him. That's a lie and you both know it. "I'm sorry." His voice broke. Moments later he's being dragged across the rocks.

You go to lunge forward, make them stop as he cried out in pain but you can't. A Clone is holding you back.

His hands are digging into your shoulders. You can't do anything but watch as they dragged Anakin to their ship.

Darth Sidious is still there, he watching you carefully. He knows what he has to do. As long as you lived you'd still try to get Anakin back. You were a threat to his New Empire.

"Kill her," He instructed before turning away. Palpatine headed back to his ship to deal with Anakin Skywalker.

You don't even have time to process before you feel the blaster press into the back of your head. The Clone wasted no time in pulling the trigger. Your body slumped down at his feet before rolling down the hill.

Anakin Skywalker felt it. He felt the force around him weaken. He screamed and trashed around. The buckles holding him down bend.

This wasn't what he wanted. He didn't do this for you to die. Anakin Skywalker killed you.

Palpatine is smiling behind him. It might've not worked as he expected but it still did. He wanted to thank you, for making Darth Vader.

Had it not been for you, he was sure he would've never turned. He misplaced his trust to save someone he loves.

You were gone and everyone who knew Anakin Skywalker was too.

What Palpatine didn't know was that he knew you were to blame. He couldn't explain it and he couldn't show it.

Anakin knew when the moment came he was going to put an end to all of this. He would just have to wait patiently and he already had all the time in the world.
