The fight is part of being a Shadowhunter, they have fought for centuries.

And yet, when the battle lines of this war are drawn, and the sides had been taken, Jace is surprised by where he finds himself standing.

all this destruction and death, and the chaos that would be unleashed, could be traced back to him, his father, his family.

They could have burnt the world to the ground, wasn’t it amazing- all it took was a madman and his spawn.

at the center of it all was Valentine, who wanted war, and Clary and Jace who wanted love.
