Dear Luke-
I am writing, first and foremost, to apologize for leaving without saying goodbye before I set off. I had wanted to say goodbye and good luck in person but with the spacer hired having to move quickly, I could not see you before we left. I especially regret not doing so if it made you believe that I did not value the connection we had.
Second of all, to tell you that I met up with a friend of yours! One Mr. Zeb Trigg. After a drink or two, he told me he knew you from back in your daredevil-on-a-speeder days. Told me to tell you that they call running the Gray Rock Ravine "sky-hopping" now.
Anyway, Zeb said he'll maintain a frequency for us (see below) so that we can keep in touch while away. I assume you'll be quite busy yourself, but please feel free to reach out to me on it anytime. I will do my best to respond.
I value our friendship and look forward to speaking with you again soon.

Dear Lando-
I know I did it a hundred times before you left, but I wanted to thank you just one more time for being there for me. Your company made it so much easier to bear, well… everything. I appreciate your guidance and your patience with me as I struggled to come to terms with my new reality… especially while you were dealing with so much yourself.
Looking back on our time together, I think some feelings developed. I hope I didn't misread the situation, but I felt a connection, a chemistry between us. Maybe it was just the vulnerability of my situation, but maybe it was something more?
Either way, I'm grateful for the memories we made. I hope we can continue to be close friends in the future.
Thank you again for everything, Lando. You truly are a good friend.

I was glad I could be there for you during your recovery. I, too, am grateful for the time we spent together. Your perspective was equal parts refreshing and familiar. You're a remarkable person, Luke, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for you.
Maybe once this little galactic war is over, we can catch up and talk more about the things you've mentioned in your letter. For now, though, I need to focus on the task at hand.

It's a trying time, you're right. This is not the time for it. When we meet again, we can talk face to face. Thank you for your reply.
As for that two-sun heat, I'm happy to help. The most important thing is to stay hydrated. Make sure you have plenty of water with you at all times. I know it's expensive, but worth it. And get a good reflector cream. Maybe try Moisture Farmer's Defense.
Stay away from any HuttHide above 90SsPF, that stuff always made me break out.

I'm sorry for the gap in replies, I've been incommunicado. Things are still pretty hot here and I've got to keep my head down for a little while longer.
A little bit of a good news for you, to keep hope alive: I saw another of our mutual friends, the one out here other than Zeb. Didn't talk to him, he wasn't in the state for it. But we'll get there.

I know that we will rendezvous sooner rather than later, but I wanted to reach out to you about something that's been weighing heavily on my mind: it's been three weeks since I've heard from Luke. I know Luke can take care of himself, but I can't help but worry. He's not exactly the level-headed Jedi you hear about. I mean, I only met him because of a crazy risk he took! I can't shake the feeling that something might have happened to him.
General, I know that you and Luke have a special connection, and I was hoping that you could help me settle that feeling.
I understand that you have your own responsibilities as a leader of the rebellion and don't expect to hear back, but if you have any information about Luke's whereabouts or his well-being please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

I can't guarantee eternal safety for the little saber-jockey, but I can reassure you that he is, to my knowledge, safe. Who knows for how long? That man makes his own trouble when he can't find it.
A question for you. Why aren't you as worried about Han Solo? He is also in a precarious situation and could use your concern just as much.
