- Small detail that nobody except me cares: Anri uses the term "soccer" while Noa uses "football".
- I put Ego into England's coach team because his player career seems to end pretty early, and he must have been doing something before BL. With his frequent "fuck off" swearings an assistant coach experience in England seems fit. He's more likely to be with a club rather than a national team but don't you demand accuracy from a casual idiot like me.
- "Your hatred towards that country": to me, Ego's speech about Japanese genius with misplaced hope sounds oddly personal. Even the figure in the accompanying panel has similar haircut and glasses with Ego, as this sharp Redditor has pointed out.
- Noa and Ego seem to be on the good terms in this version of story. Good for them. Not so much in my other theories and probably canon...🥲
