Giorno and Rikiel have developed a close bond since the moment they were rescued from the hellish environment they used to live in by their father.
When they were haunted by nightmares from the past, they would support each other with comforting words or simply remain silent, side by side.
Rikiel and Giorno were easily recognized as close brothers, and despite their differences in age, tastes and personality, these differences complemented each other in a unique way.
They could spend hours talking about various topics, including cows and ladybugs, and they were never bored in each other's company.
Ungalo was sometimes jealous of Rikiel, who could easily get a smile from Giorno, however small. On the other hand, Donatello was jealous of Giorno for being his younger brother's favorite, but managed to control some of that feeling.

On some occasions, Rikiel would allow Giorno to style his hair as a way to boost his self-esteem. However, Rikiel didn't like this situation very much, as Giorno tended to put a little force into accidentally untangling his short purple hair.
When Rikiel suffered a panic attack, he always turned to Giorno to help him calm down, as he believed that only his brother could offer the necessary support. On the other hand, although Giorno was secretive about his past, he always relied on Rykiel for help when something from the past was troubling him.
The moments of conversation, comfort and support were special to the brothers and it was because of these moments that they were so close. While it was common for siblings to tease each other, it was different for them. They didn't mind being labeled as too attached, after all, in addition to brothers, they were also best friends, which was beneficial for both of them.
They didn't need conversations to feel comfortable, each other's presence was enough to relax and forget about problems.
