Work Text:

Yumi had been training to become a geisha under the watchful eye of Kagemaru, but her heart was never truly in it. Her family had forced her into the profession, but she longed for something more.

One day, while serving a customer.

"Hey... what if I take you away from here. You are pretty, perfect display for my empty home." one of the customer casually pull her hem.

"I am sorry sir I can't do that," she replied with an empty tone.

"You probably don't know him. He doesn't take no for an answer" his companion started to laugh.

Things took a dark turn. The man had been drinking heavily and began to make advances on Yumi, despite her protests. When he attempted to force himself on her, she reacted instinctively, striking him with a nearby object and fleeing the scene.

Running through the streets in a panic, Yumi didn't stop until she reached a dead end.

"Hold up right there. That is not the right way to approach a fine lady." A man suddenly appeared behind her.

"Why do you care? She is just a maid here." The angry customer glared at him.

"She is still a lady, you must treat her with care whatever her status is."

"Tch. Get out of the way. Boss, we just lose her now." he push the man away.

"Do not worry I will make her life miserable."

Breathless and afraid, she just runs far away and never looked back.

When she returned to the geisha house, Yumi knew that she was in trouble. The customer had complained about her and main lady was furious. Despite her protests that she had been defending herself, she was fired on the spot.

After getting fired, Yumi was crying outside the geisha house when Koga, one of their regular customers, noticed her. He approached her and discovered her story, feeling sympathetic towards her plight. Koga offered to help Yumi, but she was hesitant to accept any more assistance from others.

But Koga wouldn't take no for an answer. He insisted on hiring her as a maid for his mansion, giving her a place to stay and a job to support herself. Though Yumi was grateful for the offer, she still felt ashamed of her situation and didn't know how to face him.

However, as time went on, Yumi began to feel more comfortable around Koga. He was kind and patient with her, never pushing her to talk about her past or to do anything she wasn't comfortable with. In return, she worked hard to keep his home clean and organized, showing her appreciation for his generosity.

Yumi worked hard as a maid for Koga, determined to make a new life for herself. One day, Koga noticed her reading in his library and discovered that she had a passion for science.

"Impressive," he said with a smile. "But you know that women aren't allowed to study medicine, right?"

Yumi sighed. "I know. It's unfair, but I can't give up on my dream."

Koga thought for a moment. "I might be able to help. I have connections at Imperial University. If you're willing to work hard, I'll fund your studies. But there's a catch - you'll have to pretend to be a man."

Yumi was taken aback. "A man? But how could I possibly do that?"

"It won't be easy," Koga admitted. "But I believe in you. And I promise to keep your secret safe."

Yumi considered his offer. It was risky, but it was also a chance to pursue her dreams. "I'll do it," she said finally. "Thank you, Koga-san."

And so, with Koga's help, Yumi began her studies at the Imperial University. She donned men's clothing and took on the name "Yuki" to avoid suspicion.

Despite the challenges she faced as a woman in a man's world, Yumi worked hard and excelled in her studies. She even made a few friends along the way - including a young man named Ryota, who didn't seem to suspect her true identity.

Everything is going well for her until she remembered the guy who saved her. Though she was still confused about her feelings towards the enigmatic man who had saved her that night, Yumi couldn't deny that she felt drawn to him.

So, one day after her visit to Kusanagi Books, Koga found Yumi and invited her to Milk Hall Raccord where she met the owner, Oji, and his employee, Aoi, who looked like a girl but was actually a guy.

Yumi enjoyed visiting Milk Hall Raccord after school or her visits to the library. She would always eat snacks while reading, and she found herself drawn to the cozy atmosphere of the place. Despite having an allergy to milk, she couldn't resist the delicious pastries and drinks that were served there.

Over time, Yumi began to develop a close relationship with Oji and Aoi. She admired Oji's dedication to his work and his kind heart, and she found Aoi's unique sense of style and personality fascinating. They became her close friends, and she cherished the time she spent with them at Milk Hall Raccord.

As time passed, Yumi found herself spending more and more time at Milk Hall Raccord. She was drawn to the peaceful atmosphere, the delicious treats, and the kindhearted people who visit there - especially the enigmatic owner, Oji.

Despite the age difference between them, Yumi couldn't help but feel a growing attraction to him. However, she knew that her feelings were pointless. Oji was a successful businessman and was likely already married.

To make matters worse, there was a girl who frequently visited the shop to help Oji with his work. Oji called her "Bright Eyes," and Yumi couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy whenever she saw them together.

She resigned herself to the fact that her feelings for Oji would never be reciprocated, and instead focused on her studies at the Imperial University. She poured all of her energy into her coursework, determined to make the most of the opportunity that Koga had given her.

Despite her busy schedule, Yumi still made time to visit Milk Hall Raccord whenever she could. She continued to read and study there, finding solace in the familiar surroundings and the friendly faces of the staff.

As the months went by, Yumi found herself growing more and more comfortable in her guise as a male student. She had made friends with several of her classmates, and even earned the respect of some of her professors.

But no matter how busy she was, Yumi could never shake the feeling of longing that she felt whenever she thought of Oji. She knew that it was foolish to hope for anything more than a passing acquaintance with him, but her heart couldn't help but yearn for something more.

Then one night when she was on her way back from school, she saw a man acting weird and grudging. He was about to attack her, and she screamed and ran. The man suddenly fainted, and as Yumi looked up, she saw the Milk Hall owner covered in smoke and wearing battle clothes.

"Oji-san?" she called out in surprise.

"Yuki-kun?" he replied, equally surprised.

Oji quickly ran away, but Yumi followed him, curious about what was going on. When she caught up with him, she saw that there were other people with him, including the girl she had seen before, Koga, and Ginnojo, all wearing battle clothes. Yumi was confused and scared, not knowing what was happening.

Aoi got mad at Oji for being followed

"You pathetic old man, why did you let this happen?" Aoi said angrily.

"Don't worry I have an idea" Toto stands between them. "I can just erase his memories of what he had seen".

Yumi was scared of the idea, so she stumbled and accidentally touched a paper on the ground. It started glowing and summoned a flying fish.

Everyone was shocked at what they just saw and everyone looked at her.

"Oh my. Dost thou summon familiar?" a white-haired child just spoke.

"He is brother" another kid beside him also appeared.

"Another Onmyoji? this is great" the girl exclaimed.

"Onmyoji? me? No, that's impossible" she read somewhere about Onmyoji one time so she knows about divine arts.

"Then how about we try this?" she put a paper doll in her hand. "concentrate on your hand."

Yumi just followed her instructions and the paper doll glows and flies to the man lying on the ground.

"See you are an Onmyoji. I am Futaba Saotome, nice to meet you." she reached out her hand. And Yumi gladly accepts her hand.

Then Futaba asks her train about Divine arts.

Yumi was both shocked and intrigued by what she had just experienced, and she decided to accept Futaba's offer. She knew she had a lot to learn about this new world of spirits and wraiths, but she was determined to face it with courage and determination.
