Chapter 1: The Sweet Flower Tea

Chapter Text

The first time Lumine met this tiny angel was back when she just liberate Mondstats from Stormterror. It was an unexpected meeting but defintely welcomed, as the girl carry a breath of fresh air and warmth in the middle of a strong billowing blizzard.

The crackling sounds of fire and the sounds of boiling kettle alluded to Lumine that she is in an abode. Someone's dwelling. Her eyes snap open as she takes in the new surroundings. Wooden ceiling, soft bed with Paimon at her side, and... a little girl?

"Mom! The pretty sister has woken up!" her curiously bright amber eyes stared back. Lumine thinks that if she were to look closely, she could probably see the galaxy of stars residing there. Her dark brown hair tied into long rat-tail sways following the excitement buzzing of her. Lumine can only smile awkwardly as she pushed herself to sit up, only to have a hand on her shoulder stopping her.

"Oh no, you should not push yourself just yet when you just have woken up. here, have a glass of water first." A gentle voice of concern followed by a glass of water appear right in front of her. Lumine received it graciously and drink. The water trickling down her parched throat effectively refreshes her.

Putting down the empty glass, blue eyes stared into a pair of gray eyes- matching both the woman's hair and the child's highlighted bang. They both mirrored faces of warmth and concern. Feeling safe, Lumine thanked them.

"Thank you,... Maam and Little miss. I can't recall much yet, but I'm sure I have caused you some trouble"

"Don't worry young girl, it's no trouble at all. Rather, are you feeling alright now? Is there any more frost pain anywhere? My daughter says that she heard someone shouting and calling for help. Then, she saw you fainted near the Anemo Archon statue with the little fairy panicking, trying to pull you towards it with frost covered all over. Oh! You should also drink this warm tea too. It will shake off the remaining frost effect on you." Another cup was given to her, this time it was warm with a faint smell of Sweet Flowers.

It's sweet, and Lumine can slowly feel the warmth thawing the frost over.

"Mom tea is always the best remedy after Sheer Cold. It's really, really good right, pretty sister?" The girl exclaimed, as she scoot closer to Lumine, her eagerness radiates off her as the small child nods. Lumine chuckled and nodded along.

"Indeed. It is definitely the best kind of tea I ever had. Your mom's brew is super awesome!" She puts her thumbs up, and the girl hides her redden cheek with her tiny hand. It's the girl's way of hiding her joy and embarrassment.
