- I feel as if Mason has a hard time with affection. He definitely enjoys it, both giving and receiving it, but he has gone through so much that he is still stuck in fight or flight mode and hasn’t found a way to calm down.
Getting brainwashed repeatedly will do that you. - He’s still somewhat fucked up from everything he’s been subjected to, so when he gets triggered and begins to hear and see the numbers, he doesn’t want to be touched. He’s borderline violent when he hears them— not with you, though.
- I see him as a physical touch and quality time kind of guy. He will get you gifts here and there, but he overall misses your presence and touch when he has to leave.
- He doesn’t really take a liking to pet names, although there’s an exception to “sweetheart” and “hon”. Mason loves your name and he wouldn’t want to say anything else too often.
- He really likes holding your hand, his thumb rubbing over your knuckles. The weight of your hand and every time he squeezes and you squeeze back reminds him you’re real, and you’re still here.
- When he’s able to handle cuddling, Mason prefers for you to be snuggled up into his side, a leg thrown over his own legs, your arm wrapped around his torso, using his chest or arm as a pillow, anything. Mason loves to feel your presence with him.
- When it’s time to sleep, Mason really likes when your legs are intertwined, facing each other, holding onto each other.
- Mason has frequent nightmares, but he knows that you’ll always be there to calm his mind, to quiet it.
