Chapter Text
The clear blue sky is no more.
The lush, rich greenery is no more.
And her beloved is also, no more.
The war that started years ago has left her country, leaving the world in a devastating state. Many lives died and were sacrificed as each to their own, as they stand and die protecting the last bastion of humanity...
And she, too, like many others before her will soon follow.
I... am still useless at the very end.
Her gray lifeless eyes just stared at the sky. She can no longer feel the pain of bullets and many other things piercing her.
No. she can no longer feel pain since her failure years ago. And the continuous failure, regrets, and hollow that follows thereafter.
She fails to protect her precious one, the one whom she held dearly in her heart.
The war is... Finally over, and so is my life. But...
She can feel an overwhelming emotion in her heart. Consuming her last strand of sanity as the feeling manifests in form of voracious monsters eating away her soul. Now that it was almost the end, she can't help but wallow in so much regret. Regret so intense she just screams and screams, and screams... in agony. In pain.
She knows, her life is almost over. She can feel it. But she can't help but to cling a single hope. A wish of hers. She wishes to live again, with her siblings, and her parents. She wishes to protect. She wishes for the power, and the chance to make things better.
Dear God, please hear me out. If you let me live in another life, please give me the chance to take care of my siblings and my parents properly. Please give me the power to do so. I, will also help many people so that they will be saved.
Please... this is my wish. Grant me my wish.
And then, the body lay still. Cold. Unmoved.
Leaving this world, carrying her wish to the next one.
A gentle light slowly cradles the sleeping figure, blanketing it and disperse into shards of light, carried away by the wishes of winds.
